KMega6KMegacharacter ignored the notices he received when he logged into the game, including his main quest update. All he cared about was getting to Kieser. He loved Astrid7Astridcharacter. He would do anything for her, but she did not need to exist in the game in order to be real. Kieser was his imaginary little brother. To KMega, who had a rotten family in real life, his real family was Kieser and Yirk. Even with her deep fondness for KMega, Astrid would have left him because she would have been driven insane trying to sleep with him, and probably would have attempted to do it by force. Kieser and Yirk gave KMega the environment he needed to grow as a person, even if it was only for a short time. KMega owed them a lot.
KMega found Astrid moping around, yet unaware of what had happened with her IRL body. Instead, she was surprised and happy, but his look told a lot. “My sword! Where is my sword?” (KMega)
She paused at the cold in his voice. For a moment, she wondered whether he would use it on her before she put it in their shared storage along with his repaired gear. After a moment of sorting through it, he moved to her and hugged her, pressing her to his chest.
“Sorry, I got a lead on Kieser in IRL, and…” (KMega)
She gently pushed him away.
“Say no more. Go!” (Astrid)
KMega backed away and nodded before turning around. Halfway to the exit he stopped and turned to look at her.
“I love you.” (KMega)
She relaxed and smiled.
“But you love your little brother more than your younger sister.” (Astrid)
She wasn’t sure if he heard her as he sprinted away.
She chuckled and transformed into a dragon4dragonspeciesoid as she prepared herself as KMega left hearing distance. “I think I will be just fine being a stepdaughter in that family. Let this little girl show those bullies what happens when someone picks on her brothers.” (Astrid)
For the first time in her life, Astrid was about to go all out.
The dragon king woke from his slumber. Hearing the death song of one of his elite was a rare occurrence. He was aware of the elderly dragon’s turmoil and pleased at his performance. After all, he was the ruler and strongest individual of a species, the most powerful of species. It was time for him to act. He raised from his sleeping chamber toward the top of his mountain. At the top, a plateau rested where the final battle of the dragon race would occur in the normal timeline of the game. This Dragon Summit was the tallest landmass in the game.
“Hear me, my brethren. Heed the words of your king, Bahamut.” (Bahamut)
(Author note: Even 150 years from now he is still king of the dragons!!! All hail Final Fantasy!)
As the dragon king roared, the world trembled and the skies parted.
“In recent years, there have been many breaches of the ancient pact between dragons and lesser mortals. Some on the part of the dragons, but others by humanity. Just recently, I sent an elder to a brood friendly with the other races near its land. This new brood, on the behalf of our species, had warred at their own discretion against the vile demon that threatened even our existences. Now, that elder is dead. The words he sang in his son’s soul were words of regret and misery. Mortals tainted by demons, the infernal corruption seeping into their souls. For the protection of our species and all mortals, I declare justified war on these corrupted mortals. Let no trace of demons or these defilers remain. Any harboring these vile beings will be met with hostility, even be the gods. So, I, Bahamut, King of the Noble Dragons, decree.” (Bahamut)
