Chapter 1886 I’m More Nervous

With a year to be prepared, Ye Jian believed that she wouldn’t have a problem and nodded: “Okay if we have the time, I will go home with you.”

“Seriously?” Xia Jinyuan raised his eyebrows; a profoundness appeared behind the smile on his handsome face.

Ye Jian appeared like she hadn’t realized what she had just promised and nodded her head in certainty, “Of course, I’m a woman of my word.”

“Alright, I’ll remember that.” Major Xia, who had received a straightforward reply, was like a cat who just scored a fish; no matter how you look at his smile, you’ll find it profound.

Ye Jian didn’t know about the rules of the Xia family; if a man of the Xia family brought a girlfriend to attend their elder’s birthday feast, then that means their relationship was so stable they could get married and have kids at any time.

The promise the unaware Ye Jian had made was equivalent to accepting Major Xia’s marriage proposal, recognizing herself as the Xia family’s daughter-in-law, Major Xia’s wife.

With such a large shift in their relationship, it was only natural that Major Xia would be delighted.

The Supreme Commander finally made his tea and was carrying it out and happened to see the couple seated on the sofa sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, head-to-head as they were muttering to each other, a very comfortable feeling welled up in his heart.

In his life, he had never let down the Heavens, let down the Earth, the down his nation, let down his people, the sole exception… he had let down his only son.

He had owed him too much, to the point where he always didn’t have the confidence when educating his son; he needed to stiffen his neck and to roar with his voice to gain confidence.

Seeing the young couple being so affectionate and how they looked to have a very good relationship, only then could he feel relieved.

Ye Jian heard footsteps coming from behind her and quickly created a distance of two fists between Xia Jinyuan. I immediately stood up to meet over, “Supreme Commander, let me carry it.”

“Xiao Ye ah, don’t be too formal, we don’t encourage that way of doing things at home, you ah, can call me Uncle, I’ll be happier inside if I could hear that.” Supreme Commander Xia, in his downtime, wasn’t as rigid while at work; he was a witty man and had great humor; however, after spending so long in the military and also holding a high position, even while laughing, there was a magnificence between his brows.

Passing the steaming cup of tea to Ye Jian, who was suddenly blushing after hearing what he said, the Supreme Commander added, “You’re so nervous, you’re making me even more nervous.”

Hearing that, Ye Jian didn’t even know how she should pick up the conversation to not appear impolite.

“Come come come, sit sit, ah Six, you make Xiao Ye sit down.” Supreme Commander Xia didn’t want his future daughter-in-law to be afraid of him, although he was wearing his military uniform. Still, he had intentionally weakened most of his aura, only afraid that she was overly anxious and didn’t dare to come to visit after the first time.

“Let’s sit, don’t be modest.” In front of the Supreme Commander, Xia Jinyuan concealed his evil tendencies really well; he wouldn’t pull anything funny that would make Ye Jian even more uncomfortable. Even the way he was talking was much more normal.

The tea was scalding; Ye Jian sipped some tea and was about to place the teacup on the coffee table; a pair of slender hands reached out to carry her teacup, “Be careful not to scald yourself.”

After taking the teacup, Xia Jinyuan then sipped tea directly from her teacup; only then did he place the teacup on the coffee table.

The red-faced Ye Jian was receiving Supreme Commander Xia’s gaze the entire time, so she straightened her back as straight as an arrow; she sat down in a formal manner, not daring to slacken off even a little.

“You need to properly relax after coming home, although this is your first time coming home, but this place is your home from now on; it’s a home where you could relax and feel happy in.” Not many people could completely relax before him, Supreme Commander Xia looked smilingly at the girl who, though was nervous, wore a magnanimous expression on her face, and asked about Principal Chen in an amicable manner, “… it’s almost time for him to get discharged, him ah, had wanted to get discharged for some time now, he even wanted to first run off then apologize for midway, in the end, he wasn’t successful and was stopped by the guards.”

“He only settled down after I talked to him; there are only a couple days left before he can get discharged; I wonder if his situation would stabilize in the last few days.”
