Chapter 1952 Giving

Ye Jian had already noticed the perplexed look in her best friend’s eyes and the struggle that was deep within her pupils; she knew she shouldn’t persuade her best friend to choose a specific way. Instead, she listed out all the problems she needed to face for her friend.

“And the cycle repeats, day after day, with that short amount of happiness to last you the days without him. Jia Xin, you must ask yourself if you could stand days like that if you could bear such a life.”

“I cannot give you a suggestion; I can only analyze things for you, only you yourself can make a choice, nobody can help you or decide for you.”

An Jiaxin who wasn’t crying loudly choked up for a while and couldn’t say anything intelligible; Ye Jian then drew another napkin to wipe the tears on her face while calmly and quietly waiting by her side.

She waited until the gradually calmed down. An Jiaxin asked quietly in a hoarse voice as pain filled her eyes: “What about you? Are you going to be the same?”

“Jia Xin, you and I are different, both the person I love and myself are soldiers, we have both chosen to join the army, which means we have a similar goal, separation, and quiet is very normal to us, we will get used to separation, accept separation, but our goal will never change.”

“That’s why we are different.”

An Jiaxin still didn’t give up and asked strugglingly, “Jian-er, so could you accept that he wouldn’t be by your side when you need him the most?”

“I could because I know, even without him by my side, his heart still stayed by me. Just like when he needs me by his side the most, and I couldn’t be by him, yet my heart misses him at all times.”

“I can tolerate separation, accept separation, get used to separation, because every time we separate, we’ll work hard to meet each other next time.” Ye Jian spoke things very clearly so that An Jiaxin could have a better understanding of how much she needed to give after accepting a soldier with a special identity.

But An Jiaxin had not pondered things so deeply; she had only thought that since the guy was trying to court her, why does he keep leaving without saying goodbye, and she thought that was too impolite and didn’t respect her at all.

Ye Jian’s words were like thunder in her ears, reverberating inside her heart, shaking her awake to realize that so many problems exist when being in a relationship with a soldier.

“Think about it; only you yourself can think it through and make your decision.” Ye Jian saw the perplexed look on her face, she extended her arms and gently hugged her best friend, she gently said: “It’s not something you could come to a decision in such a short time, and how old are you, why are you so sad for things like this?”

T6 had most likely put all his heart in; she wasn’t qualified to doubt T6’s sincerity. However, she needed to tell Jia Xin how hard it would be to be in a relationship with T6.

One was her comrade; the other was her best friend. Naturally, she would hope they could do well with each other, but she didn’t want the two of them to grow fond of each other but then have their love turned to hatred in the end.

Without anyone speaking, the room started to quiet down; at 4 a.m., the city was still colored deeply by the night, and Ye Jian, who was laying on the bed, also gradually closed her eyes.

Who knows how long had passed? Ye Jian suddenly heard An Jiaxin was asking her a question in a very cautious manner, “Jian-er, what if I also enlist? Would… I become like you?”

The drowsiness that had just welled up was suddenly smacked away, opening her eyes, Ye Jian stared at her with clear pupils, “Jia Xin, I just said that we are not the same, there’s no need to emulate me, all you need to do is see your true feelings.”

“Neither my decision nor my identity can become your reference, understand?”
