Chapter 2544 Military Salute

“Smooth-sailing.”

When Lin Feng heard that two-word answer, his heart calmed down.

The reason why Andican’s Auction House was this popular and was deeply trusted by the pirates, there’s actually one more major reason behind it, which is that this place had extremely good security measures.

He asked a question like that and was also afraid that the spec-ops soldiers deployed by their country would encounter some trouble.

But he had done all that he could to help them; something like infiltrating the basement… wasn’t something that he could help with, neither was it something in Supa’s power.

All they could do was leave their hopes to the special forces soldiers sent here by their country.

As to how smooth-sailing the situation was, he couldn’t ask that in detail, as their current environment wasn’t suited for asking these questions, being able to receive a two-worded answer like ‘smooth-sailing, was already quite good.

The metal cage was being pushed towards the direction of the basement; after entering the dual-sided elevator, the African men in the elevator pressed on the number ‘2’, when the elevator was going down, the two figures on top of the elevator went down with it.

Harrier, who was controlling the entire surveillance system, said grimly: “Total off two floors, the above floor has three basements, while the floor below has two basements, there’s a large cabinet in the basement of the second floor, head directly towards the second floor’s basement!”

This was the most crucial step and would be able to verify whether or not the four scientists were in the cabinet.

Ye Jian and K7 didn’t wait for the elevator to reach the second floor, by the time they reached the first one, they jumped towards the edge of the elevator door, two daggers slid between the doors at the same time, in less than a few seconds, the closed doors of the first floor opened up.

They waited until Harrier told them they could press the elevator switch, then the duo immediately got on the lift and went down the second underground level.

The entire process was filled with danger that sometimes caused someone’s heart to speed up or stop suddenly. Meanwhile, these dangers were all dangers that could take someone’s life at any moment, but for Ye Jian and K7, those were dangers that they needed to face bravely, and there was no room for retreat.

There were two basements in the second underground level, both were used to store items that were being auctioned on the day, and the basement to their right was the one that had the cabinet, and at the entrance… two of the Puntland Group pirates were guarding inside.

If they want to go in, they’ll have to take care of the two pirates.

The two African men that pushed the metal cage back to the basement walked out, then left after boarding the elevator; K7 pointed at the basement that stored the metal cage; Ye Jian understood his intentions and nodded her head.

There was nobody outside; K7 then pushed out the metal cage that was just stored inside once again; when he reached the elevator door, the metal cage was suddenly stuck, and he couldn’t enter the elevator no matter what.

Trying to bring out the two pirates inside with a diversion, so they could help push the metal cage into the elevator.

The instant the duo came out, Ye Jian quickly side-stepped into the basement; the cabinet wasn’t a wooden one. Instead, it was a tin cabinet.

The tin cabinet wasn’t fully enclosed. Instead, there were three rebars that were less than ten centimeters long being welded in on both sides to form a lattice that allowed air circulation, but light couldn’t shine inside; Ye Jian used a micro-flashlight that was only as big as her middle finger to shine inside.

Inside… there was somebody, but just one person, a Chinese person, in a sailor uniform.

When the light shone in, the sailor’s gaze followed the beam of light and swept over Ye Jian sharply. At that moment, Ye Jian, whose heart dropped when she saw there was only one person inside, started seeing hope again.

She saluted at the soldier in sailor-disguise.

The soldier caged inside spotted the blurry-faced figure outside, but after realizing they were giving him a salute, his eyes shone with a radiant light.

He pointed at himself, shook his hand, telling Ye Jian he didn’t have much time left, then pointed outside and made a hand gesture, signaling that the four scientists weren’t here.
