Chapter 564: I still Feel Like Fleeing

Wasn’t that praiseworthy? The girl stated that China revered foreign culture, and doesn’t pay attention to their own traditions. Ye Jian first stated the attitude of the country towards foreign cultures was like an all-encompassing sea, then she said we were open-minded. Next, she pointed out that our people were passionate and hospitable and wouldn’t reject a festival that would make themselves happier.

Then she raised the issue that the girl only used English while making her question and not using her own mother tongue to end the conversation, clearly telling her ‘since you had already abandoned your own mother tongue, what right do you have to criticize my country’s acceptance to a foreign culture?

After leaving the school, Miss Petty personally apologized to Ye Jian, this way, everything was fine. After all, not everything was the same under the heavens, much more so that they weren’t our people, what they say and what they think wasn’t something we could control, as long as our country’s dignity was preserved, then all was fine.

Qin Xiu was supposed to sit in the other car, but since Miss Petty had come personally, what he could do was continue standing beside Ye Jian, until Petty leaves.

After getting into the car, XIa Jinyuan looked at Ye Jian with a calm stare amongst the business, he raised his brows and smiled: “I never would’ve thought our little fox was eloquent as well. I even saw that girl’s face turn green, I bet no one had ever dared to do that to her.”

Because rich people in Pakistan had many servants, and these servants only had the status of garbage. How would they have the guts to retort their masters’ words, naturally, girls like her more or less would dislike it when others hold a different opinion than theirs.

Ye Jian laughed hollowly, a coldness emerged between her brows. “Making friends doesn’t mean we’re showing weakness. If I don’t stop questions like these the first time and make her understand the pride of the students of China, she’ll mistake herself as a goddess.”

That’s why after they have returned to the country, the head leader had mentioned many times that the young student Ye was an impressive student that reassured people and wouldn’t be afraid of being bullied.

Six o’clock in the evening, the Chinese leaders that had ended their incognito visit boarded the plane returning to China. The Prime Minister of Pakistan himself personally saw them off, while the First Lady personally gifted Ye Jian a Pakistani lady dress that had beautiful jade colors that seemed like real shining jewels. And she would welcome Ye Jian to visit Pakistan once again.

Naturally, Ye Jian accepted her invitation politely, and with a gentle hug from the First Lady, she ended the incognito visit that lasted for four days. When the plane soared into the clouds, they could still see the blazing sun hanging over the West, its colors were still gaudy but filled with brightness. Like the leaders of this country, no matter how chaotic the situation in their country was, they still held a patriotic heart and would strive to the utmost for their motherland.

During the six-hour journey, the head leader held a conversation with Ye Jian for at least one hour. He informed the Major General to demand the local troops to properly nurture Ye Jian, a bud that was as good as her cannot be let slip by. He is looking forward to the day when he could see Ye Jian carry herself tall in military uniform during the military parade.

When they arrived in Beijing, it was already a couple minutes past midnight. The earliest flight towards the provincial city would be 5:20 in the morning. Ye Jian did not accompany the head leader and co. Back in the capital, instead, she stayed in a hotel room near the airport that was arranged for her by Qin Xiu.

Xia Jinyuan stood beside the Major General, after watching Ye Jian bid farewell to the head leader, Major General one by one, when brushing shoulders with her, his slender hand gently touched Ye Jian’s hand, and a note was slipped into Ye Jian’s hand in public without anybody else knowing.

“Call me tomorrow morning, I’ll be waiting.” When he walked past, he also left that sentence behind.

Ye Jian stared at his slender back, her lips gently pursed together. After returning to the country, she didn’t quite want to have too much contact with him for having these thoughts… should she or shouldn’t she? But she honestly didn’t want to contact him, it was the same sentence as before, dangerous men should be avoided.
