Chapter 940: Unstoppable

The house was in a mess and footsteps could be heard. Five people had been eliminated by Ye Jian and there were three people remaining.

Someone cursed in the dark, the sentry outside shouted, “Get the f*ck out! Hurry!”

They were speaking in a language from South Asia, Ye Jian didn’t understand, but she knew that Xia Jinyuan had intentionally alarmed the sentry to lead the people out.

Ye Jian completed her firing from her first position and had long hidden behind the collapse bricks, staring at the dilapidated house with coldness. She would immediately begin once someone came out.

The ambush had caused a momentary confusion among the mercenaries who chased all the way to the Chinese territory. When the alarmed sentry outside shouted on his own, the remaining three mercenaries fired randomly as they came out of the house.

In the dark night, Ye Jian aimed at a figure who was running out, she didn’t hesitate as she fired the third bullet of the night.

Every bullet must hit a target. Uncle Chen had mentioned, a sniper’s bullet is fired to protect his comrades, not allowing the bullets fired for the sake of their comrades to deviate the slightest bit!

“Bang!”

The dull gunshot once again broke the calm of the night. As the figure fell to the ground, the two figures chasing behind rolled vigorously to the weeds and quickly hid.

“Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Continuous gunfire sounded, heading towards the direction Ye Jian was hiding. The remaining mercenaries already knew how many people were ambushing them.

Xia Jinyuan no longer gave the ‘alarmed’ sentry the opportunity to speak and as Ye Jian fired at the two remaining mercenaries, he had to quickly remove his target.

The dagger in his hand was not a military dagger, it was a multi-purpose knife that could be bought from the hardware store on the streets. Although the brand new unopened knife was not as sharp as a military dagger, it could still be used as a weapon.

The leaves rustled and Xia Jinyuan waved out his fist and attacked with the wind which could hurt the skin. The close combat of special forces was never like a needle in wool, it was a quick and fierce attack, hitting the other party hard with accuracy.

There were many parts of the human body that were sensitive to pain, there was only one part which would cause someone to have a slower reaction: The brain.

With continuous attacks, a few punches landed on the other party’s head. The handsome and cold Xia Jinyuan was like an awakening lion, so majestic that the mercenary kept retreating, screaming in pain.

He was asking for support. Ye Jian’s bullets seemed to have grown eyes, moving among the grass and trees. An unfamiliar scene moved along the air, the bullet struck someone with a ‘bang’, stopping someone from stepping forward to give support.

“Dammit!” The mercenary who was shot had to hide and rolled below the tree, searching for the target who shot him with a malicious gaze.

The mercenary who was continuously hit in the head by Xia Jinyuan stumbled, shaking the leaves and shrubs around him. A normal-sounding swishing sound could be heard at that moment, causing his heartbeat to speed up along with the swishing.

Ye Jian curled her lips a little. Captain Xia was not merely an excellent special forces soldier, he was also an excellent commander. He had the talent to even convince the veterans when it came to tactics.

The movement right now was getting louder and louder, causing the other two mercenaries to tighten their heartstrings, adding to their mental pressure, giving her and Xia Jinyuan a higher chance of winning.

When a scalp numbing muffled sound could be heard from the darkness, the scent of blood became thicker in the wind, so strong it floated into everyone’s noses.
