The gate was tightly shut during the broad daylight. As a result, a lot of returning students were stopped outside the city. This was the only direct path to Owne Ernst Academy. It would be impossible to reach the academy before the date set to resume classes by the academy by taking a long detour. The academic credit would be ...

Huh, so literally his body and mind were stop in time while he was in that other world, which is why he was inmortal, and he still held feelings to go back, and he didnβt broke.
That explains how he was able to retain the memories from 1000 years ago, and his feelings for his family. It also explains why he wasnβt able to absorb mana in that other world. Did he still had bodily functions? Like he needed to eat, drink and s***?
So now that he is back on earth, his βmindβ or βconsciousnessβ, and his body are moving forward in time, and the effects or psychological backlash of those 1000 years are finally affecting him. Is like he had a barrier that helped him from getting broken, physically and mentally.
If that is how his inmortality worked back then, that reminds me of certain character in re:zero⦠Although the nature of the power is different, their inmortality were similar.
His realization of his own flaws/lack of empathy was perfect. He very obviously has extreme PTSD and his character growth and development is progressing in an extremely realistic way (one of the primary symptoms of PTSD is a tendency to avoid any and every possible outside stimulus). Also, a high degree of protectiveness towards loved ones and a deeply ingrained sense of shame/lack of self esteem. The comedy is ok, but the character development is outstanding.
This is getting really good right now. A little heavy plot is coming. And i am all geared up to read it. Thank you 4 translating it.
Thanks fro the chqpter, is this an indication of the series turning a little more serious??
