Si Zheng Ting’s heart stops for a moment, “Just what?”
The doctor frowns when he sees the worry on Si Zheng Ting’s face.
It is still too early, he cannot base it from the pulse alone. Besides, with how sick she is, they will not be able to do anything if they are to do a test anyway. He better keep it to himself if he is not sure.
The doctor laughs, “Mrs. Si is still really weak. I think I better prescribe her some herbal medicines.”
After saying that, the doctor is quiet for a moment before saying, “I think, two weeks from now, you should take her to a full-body medical test.”
They will be able to check it properly two weeks later.
The doctor’s face is solemn as he continues speaking, “The Madam must not be allowed to be too tired after this. She needs proper rest. Her workload should not be heavy as well.”
Si Zheng Ting sighs in relief.
After the doctor gives him the prescription, Si Zheng Ting orders Ji Chen to buy all the herbs from the Chinese medicinal shop.
Although she is staying at a VIP ward, it is still not as comfortable as their home. Since the doctors said that she is not in immediate danger, Si Zheng Ting discharges her.
Everything is done in a rush.
After everything is settled, Si Jing Yu finally realized that she has forgotten something.
By the time Zhuang Nai Nai wakes up, the sky is already dark.
It is her growling stomach that wakes her up.
She can smell the aroma of chicken soup. Without even opening her eyes, she sniffs the air before promptly sitting up, gulping heavily.
Her sudden movement makes her feel dizzy and when she opens her eyes, she finds that she is inside their bedroom.
She cannot remember what happened, only bits and pieces of it. She remembers entering the elevator at work, how did she get here?
Zhuang Nai Nai knocks herself in the head, trying to remember what happened. Her stomach continues growling; she suddenly feels hungry to the point where it is unbearable. She immediately opens the quilt to get off the bed.
The sound of the door opening can suddenly be heard. She lifts her head and sees the cold-faced Si Zheng Ting walking in while carrying something.
She looks at him, frozen.
He looks like he has just finished bathing. His hair is left to dry casually, covering his forehead. His usually sharp eyes are lot gentler than it normally looks.
He looks like the Si Zheng Ting from back in high school.
Her heart beats faster. She starts imagining the scene of Si Zheng Ting playing hero while saving the maiden. Her little fangirl heart flutters. She feels like they are back in school. She was hot-blooded and brave, back then. Willing to chase after him even if it kills her.
She fell in love with him at first sight during the new students’ entrance ceremony.
She was not afraid of anything back then. After the ceremony, she had sneaked up to Si Zheng Ting with a fawning face while being stared at by the crowd, “Wei, Si Zheng Ting, hello! I am Zhuang Nai Nai from Class 1. Let’s be friends!”
Her palm had been sweating so badly back then.
Si Zheng Ting simply swept his eyes over her, not looking at her for even one second more than necessary before walking away.
Zhuang Nai Nai was not discouraged and followed him from behind, “Your speech was really good, just now! I have so many things to say to you!”
