As we entered the place, many people were watching us, it seems all of them recognized that Peko and Zenith were Demi-Humans and somehow everyone knows that I’m a foreigner. With Drakon leading us, we entered a house that was kind of big, it seems it is the general’s house, it was a two-story building and it was very wide.
“Oh yeah, our general is also some kind of mayor here, and don’t be surprised or he will be pissed, he has quite a short temper” said the man with a huge build in a peaceful voice…
When Drakon opened the door, we saw an… elf? Coming to us, the doubt in my thoughts was because no elf is this huge. He still was smaller than Drakon, but elves usually had slender appearance. His eyes were sharp, and his hair was short, he also has a vertical scar on his right cheek and a horizontal one on the left part of his neck… wow that must have been a really close call for decapitation…
The elf with a robust appearance that had some lightweight armor on came to us as if he knew we were coming to this place and said to us.
“Welcome, my name is Plate, and I am the general of this place”
“Oh, hello, my name is Ardha, these fellows here are Peko and Zenith, and as it seems you already know, they are Demi-Humans from the Underworld” I said, containing my amused face from the rule breaking elf in front of me. I thought that if I hid something from him, I would be chopped to pieces… or worse. Well, it didn’t seem they were hostile.
“Yes, I noticed, so, going to the point, what do you want in this small village?” Said Plate with a serious tone
“Umm, we came on a mission from Zenith’s parents to learn from the Earth realm and train” Said Peko, shying away at Plate’s gaze.
“We came in peace” added Zenith that thought that bit of information was necessary.
“Well, you two are pretty weak, so I thought it would be something like that” Said Plate with an understanding look
“Emm, how did you know we were Demi-Human and furthermore, why aren’t you capturing us?” Asked Peko curiously and watching her words to make it sound the politest she can must.
The elf raised an eyebrow and said, “Didn’t your senders told you?”
“Well, I almost slipped away, so they had to take me without giving us too much information as time ran short with the teleportation portal…” Said Zenith truthfully.
“Pfff, Hahahhahahhaa! That’s hilarious…” was laughing Drakon at that, and it seemed Plate had a smirk on his face containing a laugh too.
“Well, that explain some things, this village is a neutral zone as we have been raided by Earth’s races and Underworld’s races, as long as they come in peace, we don’t really care, and we have enough manpower in this village to make quite a disturbance everywhere” said Plate
“And to answer your other question, we have been at the border of the Underworld by a few centuries, we can detect them even if they come with a seal, like those necklaces of yours” Completed Drakon
“Ohh, that’s why…” said Zenith aloud while thinking, it seemed Peko, Drakon and Plate knew what he was thinking as they nodded.
“Well, that solves many questions, but how do you know that I am a foreigner?” I asked.
At this, both of Drakon and Plate shrugged, the elf said “Well, we all had some kind of… vision if I may call it, and it said that we would recognize foreigners when we saw one… and it seems its true, you have a different kind of… aura on you, it’s really strange”
‘Hmm, so that’s how they did it…’ I thought to myself and then said, “Well, may I ask where we can get a place to rest and to train?” my day is already finishing, and I need a place to train to make do of the month, after all, I leveled up quite a few times and I don’t want my skills to be below my level.
“Well, in this house there are a lot of rooms, so you can rest here, and for training we can get you instructors depending on what you want to learn, many of the students are practicing by themselves now, as they have hit Intermediate in their professions, so many instructors are bored, as they don’t have much to do, including myself” answered Plate
“Huh? Aren’t you the mayor and the general here?” I asked in wonder.
“Well, yes, but everyone here are self-sufficient beings, they bring stuff, they can hunt, many of them knows about economics and usually when a merchant from a kingdom or a sender comes, everyone starts giving opinion about general ideas for the village, like minerals, special leather, etc… mainly for those who knows crafting… that are also most of the people here…”
“Oh, must be tough…” I said to the temporary jobless general…
“Hahahaha, we sometimes go hunt in the deep parts of the forest to train recruits, which are everyone that has hit 18 years, that’s normally our way to have fun, those youngsters when fighting do some amusing things!” Exclaimed Drakon

“…”
“…” As we stayed silent to the comment, from what we saw, those monsters were incredible strong…
“So… What kind of training do you wish to have?” Asked Plate, trying to avoid the awkward silence provoked by Drakon.
“Oh, I want to learn Hand-to-hand combat and dual sword mastery” I said.
At this, a smile formed on Plate’s lips… I don’t like where this is going…
“Then you’ll be my student” Said the elf general with a sadistic grin on his face…
“And you two?” Continued Plate
“I wish to train in ma- “
“He will learn Hand-to-hand combat and Two-handed sword mastery” Said Peko cutting of Zenith who was looking at her.
“Huh? No, I wa- “and suddenly Drakon picked him from his waist and put Zenith on his shoulder at lightning speed… woah, the guy for being so big is really fast!
“Hmhmhm~~” Went away Drakon humming while taking his new student
“Hey!! I said I wan- “and Zenith suddenly got put a bag on his head by the mayor…
“Mmm!!!” Zenith was trying to resist uselessly until we couldn’t see him anymore… Good luck, buddy, we’ll miss you.
“…” I stayed silently watching Peko unaffected by the situation.
“And you, young lady?”
“I want to learn Magic control, buffs and curses.” Said Peko
“Hmm? You can learn holy spells like blessings?” I asked her
“I can, but there are also Dark Blessings that can strengthen your body too, and I need to train curses, as you are also with us, it might come in handy learning healing spells and strengthening spells too, and as Humans are mostly neutral, you can be affected by both without having downsides”
“Ohhh, that sounds interesting”
“Well, as I see you have finished with your questions, out of this house, turn at the right and keep going straight until you see a big pointy building, there, ask for Master Vermillion and say you were sent by me for training”
“Okay~, see ya, Ardha” Said Peko waving her hands while leaving.
“Okay, student, when do you want to start, I also know that foreigners have different sense of time than us and seeing as you asked for a place to rest, your time must be coming up” Said my new Master almost as if reading my mind.
“Well, the day past tomorrow I’ll come back at 8 o’clock or sooner” I said to him.
“Okay, there is an empty room on the second floor going up by the left stairs, it is at the end of the hall, go and have a good rest, you will need it… a lot” Said my master with a grimace of a hellish training.
“Thanks, master” I said with a smile on my face, it was a shame I couldn’t start right away, as it should be 0:00~ AM in RL, so I went to my room saying good night to the general and logged off and go to sleep in real life.
I didn’t even know what was happening in real life and that the consequences of my request would bring such response.
At morning I prepared for my morning exercises, I won’t be able to exercise my real body much during this week as I must get the most of it in training my character. So I went for a jog and did some exercises at the beach, on the way home I went to a store that is near and bought some necessary things and at home I did some reaction speed training with concentration training to keep my mind sharp.
I finished my breakfast while watching the news and saw something incredible.
Very soon, a call showed on my phone. It was from my friend, Nicolas.
“Hey! Your character is on the headlines! Damn you, how were you able to gain so many levels!?” Nicolas asked me in a surprised voice
“I told you I started outside of the village, just got there at night, with the people I’m with we hunted some wolves on the way there” I told him, still surprised about the news, it wasn’t because of my level, as I knew it, but because it seemed I became most wanted in a single night, never thought that Insanity Corp. would upload a Ranking table!
‘Sheesh, this is going to be very troublesome…’ I thought with a helpless smile, but, at the same time, it sparked the competitive side in me, heh.
