A clear, bright shine appears on the sky as the day finally arrives… for war!
The enemy is now in front of us, Isa is with the main army along with the other commanders for defense support, Vladi is with Myriad and the long rangers, Arksen is with the Barbarians, and Kagito, Zenith and I are together in another secluded spot.
We are waiting to see the enemy get in range for our attacks. Normally, that would mean we would be in theirs too, but we have a card under our sleeve.
‘Just a bit more, a bit more, come on…’ I could feel the vibration caused by the huge army that was coming closer and closer to us. He environment felt tense as all of us are ready in our positions, tightening and relaxing our grip on our weapons. ‘Finally! They are there’ a sly smile escapes from me, as I watch the mayhem that’s going to come soon.
“Thunderstorms” Eroda says as he points towards our enemies and thunderstorms start hitting the enemy. Thanks to Eroda boundless magic prowess, his range is huge, but the downside of them is that the time to cast those kinds of attacks are a bit long. While he can use stronger spells than that, we simply needed to spam those at our enemies to cause the most damage possible.
But it truly seems the enemy forces are almost unfazed at this attack. Despite its strong destructive power and wide area, the enemies did have a lot of defense magicians, so they can fare against attacks like these, making their casualties minimal. They are prepared to go against us, and I think that was quite a surprise attack from our part, but their formations didn’t break in the slightest as they marched at full speed.
‘Tyrfing… what a troublesome fellow’
As Eroda continues spamming area attacks and our archers start shooting their arrows, we have come into an advantage as the enemy advances, getting more casualties along the way.
This was the start of our said ‘plan’, coming now a collision between the soldiers of our Guilds. Isa’s group will have a boosted defense, as her Paladin class is very useful in these kinds of situations, thus they will be able to maintain them at bay with ease. Once they are more or less near, we let Eroda throw one of his big attacks to disrupt their balance, Tact Hand would go in too, as his main specialty is ice magic. But the morale from the other party is tremendous, and their buffs increases as the battle and the commands from their leader are being given.
It is a troublesome opponent indeed. If worst comes to worst, the villagers will go to the front line to stop the enemies’ attacks and our battle power would increase… but there was one inconvenience, and that was death…
As NPCs, their death would imply to be gone forever, that’s why the Barbarians were asked to enter later for security reasons. It would be the best if us players can go against them one on one, but our enemies surpass us two-fold and the commander is not a joke in a war. Hell, she wasn’t a joke even one on one.
The battle between the Guilds start as they engage with weapons in hand.
Desperate shouts are eaten by the powerful sounds of explosions and weapons clashing.
Their magicians and archers are acting, and some seemed to be assigned to defend, but we cannot see their leader yet, she is too far. And it is just at that when Eroda makes a full cast and says.
“Thunderous Inferno”
Huge thunders of fire started falling from the sky as if they were a Heavenly Tribulation, hitting our opponents mercilessly. Many started disappearing like nothing at the huge attacks from our one and only Warlock, but he doesn’t stop there and spells “Meteor Shower”.
With that name one can easily expect what are the things falling from the sky as huge boulders start hitting their defensive positions with tremendous power, creating shockwaves and earthquakes.
As the attacks go on, our army pushes forward but a single shout came from the other side of the place.
It might have been weak here, but to have reached this far… A shudder goes through thinking about those vocal chords, and then I assume its because of a skill.
Their soldiers start standing again and hitting us back, hardening their resolve. The commanders have leadership that can give buffs along with morale, but they are nothing compared to hers. I have seen the videos and all, but living it is waaaaaay different, and there is the prospect that she can improve too.
As our warriors attack without rest, it seems that Aren is commanding the Barbarians to go in, a PM from Arksen comes.
-Hey, we are going in, it will be troublesome if the enemy regain their composure… or increase it
– “Okay, we will in a while”
-Ok~
“Arksen and the Barbarians are going in already, Kagito be ready at my signal”
“That’s a bit sooner than we planned, but let’s have some fun” Says Kagito with an excited grin.
Zenith just nods while preparing himself to go in, his expression not changing one bit while holding his broadsword.
It is true that it will be sooner than we expected, as I thought it would be in around 20-30 minutes later, but that was a simple rough estimation, and it seems our enemies are getting more casualties as we speak, but so do we.
If everything goes on like this, it should end in about 3 hours… at least.
“It seems this will be our first real war, kid” Says Dei while changing shape to the Elemental Runic Sword. It takes a white color, exposing a beautiful shape as I get amazed at the sight, but I expected something like this from Dei.
“Yes, it will be, sorry to use you in your sealed form” I say to Dei who had to restrict its powers
“Be thankful I am letting you use me, weakling. Don’t feel sorry as you will have to kill at least a thousand soldiers yourself to appease me”
“You remember I am human, right?!” I say helplessly at the sword and then looks toward the battlefield, my eyes sharpening like my blades, “Well… I will try” I say to my comrade who just goes silent.
Sublimus Dei Attack: 100~ Durability: Infinite
As a Legendary Sword that can chose its own wielder it has gone through generation to generations, many became greedy and proclaimed to be the Sword’s Master, trying to force the sword to accept them. Thus, it has eaten their soul on their trial making its own power to grow, no one knows the true creator of this Legendary Weapon, as some say the Gods made it and others think it might be a God itself.
Revelations of the Swords will be given only to its wielder, as it itself doesn’t know about its origins.
The Sword has adapted to its Master and will continue to grow for one day to be able to show its true Power.

‘Isn’t a Legendary Weapon for nothing… and the description have changed now, wonder if I get stronger, I will get to know more about Dei?’
As I’m seeing the development of the battle, it seems that Eroda is getting to his limits, the skills casted weren’t that strong for him, but spamming them time and time again requires huge amounts of mana consumptions. He also has to aim them at the enemy for him to not hit any friendly side, his concentration and mental state reaches his limits as he shouted for the last time. His lips trembling as he barely sustains himself, opening his arms wide, small circlets of magic scripture coursing through them.
“Double casting: Vortex!”
Two huge Vortex appear from nothing and start wiping out the enemy and, after a minute of causing terror, they disappear with Eroda falling to the ground. it is a hard sight to see but that is our sign to enter.
As I put on my helmet which has a core runic engrave, my armor starts to shine with a neutral light as I feel I am in my best condition I have ever been. My words flow like my energy through my body.
“Now!”
And Kagito transported us to the middle of the battle, where only enemy soldiers are standing, and our rampage begins.
———————————————————————-
Eroda, after knowing about the plan that Ardha made, had some objections as the villagers would be able to make up for most of the main-power if they have some allied forces along with them, but it was discarded not only by Ardha, as the others also denied the idea of the villagers and the Barbarians being in the front row.
And the reason was that, if they died that meant the end, the young successors were trying to protect them until the very end.
‘He is like you, Plate’ Thought Eroda as he smiled bitterly while sighing internally. He gave some changes to the plan, after all, they would be needed too, and the village has many range attackers without counting himself.
Then he proposed after the wild idea they gave about going into the center. At first, it was supposed to be Kagito, Ardha and Arksen but Zenith objected, and he entered the group. While they were troubled by it, they couldn’t deny that with him their offensive power would be a lot higher. There is also the fact that he is the Death Lord, possessing certain skills that helps him one versus many.
“I will use Area attacks until I pass out, that will be your signal to go in” declares Eroda strongly.
Ardha was about to discard the idea until he saw Eroda’s serious expressions that wouldn’t take a no for an answer. He nodded and firmly said
“We are counting on you, Eroda”
He knew that they were playing it too safe, and needed to make some risks, it was hard to see someone pass out and take that as a signal to go on, but the child was determined to do so.
‘After the battle is over, I might as well name him the Lord of the village, we will need to grow too, as the future of the Seal looks grim, we can’t stick ourselves in our comfort zone anymore’
Many ideas were given, as Isa being in the defense was better because of her defense buffs and her tanking class would suit it better, while Arksen could provide help to the Barbarians. Vladi, with her high-speed bullets, would be able to get many enemies at her range.
Eliana would be the main observer of the battle and give instruction and orders as the Leadership would be given to her after Kagito transport to the other side as there is a possibility of him dying. That girl had really sharp eyes and great foresight. It is quite amazing she didn’t really have a command class.
They are truly growing, they want to protect this place not only for their master’s wish, but because it became theirs too
And now he was spamming his area attacks as if his life would die out if he didn’t, even if it meant it was taking it by doing so. As he finishes with his last one and touches the floor, he only looked towards their direction, blood dripping from his mouth and his nose.
‘Everything is up to you, Ardha’
And the eyes of the Warlock closed, going to sleep soundly, trusting them as he trusted his comrades in the battlefield.
