Nobukazu joined the table discussion after sitting in a chair at the end of the table. Geisyuku and Akasuki were sitting in two sides of the table, face to face, with dinner plates infront of them whereas Braden face to face with Nobukazu in the other end of table. He also had a plate of turkey which was not bitten once.
Braden was about to slice meat off the bone when Nobukazu cleared his throat to speak. Trov wagged his tail from the floor when voice started coming from Nobukazu’s mouth.
“I am sorry for what I have done to you.” Nobukazu said to his wife.
“I am sorry for what I have done to you too.” Chosokabe talked to his daughter.
“And thank you for what you have done to me, Braden.” Braden’s turn came at last. Braden was faltered by listening to him. In embarrassment, he took a big bite of his dinner. Akasuki looked at him with surprise. Geisyuku and Nobukazu didn’t mind the hungry guest eating like a pig.
“Well, umm…” Braden swallowed a big piece of meat. He was blushing “I never had though I would be staying with such a legendary family. The family we only had heard in tales-”
“Please let father speak.” Akasuki interrupted to end his smile.
“Akasuki!” Geisyuku was not pleased.
Akasuki sighed, tightened her lips, looking at other side and waited for Nobukazu to speak by drumming the table from her fingers.
“Listen daughter.” Nobukazu said, “This is not a joke. We might get killed so always keep Death Pollen with yourself.”
“Do we also need it inside here?” his wife had a question.
“All of us are going to Southend Territory and there we will have to stay out of this house for few days.”
“I know.” Akasuki interrupted, still not looking at her mother.
“We’re leaving right now. I will teleport this house to there after we plan everything.”
Akasuki moved her head at Nobukazu in surprise. Both Geisyuku and Braden found it hard to believe. Just Trov looked excited about the news. He even barked after leaping in air.
Akasuki’s face began to darken. And it brightened all of a sudden, “Are you also sending me to learn sorcery?” she spoke like a child.
“Hmm…” Nobukazu hummed, “You already are a source of power. Perhaps the as strong as Metal Mage.”
Akasuki started rubbing her hands, not giving attention to the roasted turkey on her plate.
“And who will guard her while she learns?” Geisyuku interrogated in annoyance, “You killed all mercenaries who were sworn to protect us.”
“She will not need them. Braden killed Wernh’An. Wutke won’t come for years and nobody knows if the third enemy exists or not.”
“Uncertainty of enemy bugs me the most.” Geisyuku finally put food in her mouth. She chewed and continued before pushing it down her throat, “She can learn sorcery after her marriage too. Why rush like this?”
“Come on mother.” Akasuki couldn’t hold it, “I will learn sorcery in a week.”
“You’ll learn it in three days.” Nobukazu came between mother-daughter conversations, “But you’ll have to practice it for decades.”
Geisyuku still was skeptical. Nobukazu read it from her face and said, “Trust me, Geisyuku. She needs to learn sorcery as soon as possible. Once her wedding is done and she bears a child then Great Invasion will be prevented on its own. But till then she must learn crafts to defend herself from possible danger.”
Excitement vanished from Akasuki’s mind. Her smile shrunk till it became nonexistent. Nobukazu talking about her having a baby embarrassed her a lot.
“Smile Akasuki.” Nobukazu touched her head, “You’re a Lady of Winstrova to be.”
