Glittering Mess 11

“How did you know I was here?” Waylon asked Gretta.
“Do you think I was kidding when I said only I see you when I close my eyes?” she smiled.
Waylon was fluttered.
Is this time for romance? Roderick felt awkward. He would have looked away if he had known it wasn’t ending like this. The couple ended up kissing each other.
Barry was looking elsewhere, waiting for the couple to be done, but Roderick could not wait.
“Does anyone of you know what this text means?” Roderick held two papers in different hands.
“Barry knows.” Gretta said. Her hand was still wrapped around Waylon’s shoulder.
“Barry knows?” Barry scoffed, “I can only guess what it means.”
“Your guesses are correct most of the time.” Waylon said.
“Well, I doubt it.”

Barry observed the code and went on brainstorming. Every time he had found the solution, he met another problem. But in this difficulty he was all by himself. None of others there had the ability to know what the code meant.
The cryptographer clapped and smirked.
“This points at King’s old dungeon where he had kept his enemy’s head.” Barry jumped.
“Get in.” Waylon ran for his jeep.
“Don’t get excited.” Barry said, “The treasure is not in there.”
“So what else does this code say?” Roderick asked.
“The prisoner whom he had kept was a Chinese. King had granted him permission to send a surrender letter to his troops. But the Chinese king cheated, prepared to send a cipher to his troops. The capturer king smelled what his captive was upto, so they won the war.”
“How?”
“First word of each sentence forms a broken sentence when put together. King was able to smell the trickery because the letter was ten pages long and resembled a sonnet.” Barry laughed.
“Where should we go now?”
“Volcanic Tunnel East.”
“Gold.” Waylon completed.
