Holy hell! Emperor is the twentieth man? Roderick got astonished.
“Come, join the victory, ser.” Knight knelt.
“Battle is not won till the one who sits on throne dies. And does not begin till someone gets killed.” Man said, and the other person behind him put an arrow through Knight’s heart.
Soldiers were perplexed to see the happening.
“You must die, Stone Emperor. You broke the vow of peace by invading this realm. You forgot you were meant to defend this Kingdom, just like us, not to attack.”
Roderick was about to reveal who he was but tied his lips when realized every soldier had eyes fixed on him. Every one of them was keen to hear what he had to say. Revealing his identity was going to result in his death. And not revealing didn’t look pleasant either.
“You must die.” Archer notched his bow.
After seeing it, the soldiers charge towards those fifteen men.
Roderick found it wise to run. While he was running, he saw soldiers surround those men. Then there came a lightning bolt from the sky. It hit on the ground, where those men were. Every soldier turned rigid and fell dead on ground.
Even his horse fell down.
Roderick took the matter on his own feet and ran for his life. Those men came slaughtering hundreds and hundreds of soldiers at once.
Once more they got surrounded. Then thunder bolt descended to earth, just like last time. This time, Roderick couldn’t get far enough from it. He collapsed and lay immovable on ground as a shock wave had caught him.
Those men walked towards Roderick. He could see them approaching closer.
“Roderick!” one of them got surprised.
How can they recognize me? He thought and moved his hand. His fingers touched on his chin. The scar wasn’t on his chin anymore.
It was when he realized the effect of potion had worn off and now he was in his normal form.
“Did you see Emperor?” one asked.
Roderick slowly got on his feet and said, “He ran towards the front gate.”
The person put him on his shoulder and they all ran. They ran over any person in front of them. Roderick was having a hard time to breathe due to their insane speed.
“You remember when you threw us?” The person carrying him asked.
“It was for your own good.” Roderick gasped.
“This is also for your own good.” He said and threw Roderick. Screaming, he flew over soldiers. He could see soldiers glancing up at him.
He crashed on ground hard.
I thought I had thrown you s**** softer than this. He cursed them.
Then he almost got blinded by the lightening which hit the soldiers. Unlike last time, the bolt circled around the castle. Soldiers’ bodies turned into ashes.
They had killed every soldier there, but the Emperor remained unharmed.
