Queenish 6

The monkeys called more of their friends to watch spectacle of grown up man trying to create fire.
No matter how much he tried, he could not make anything other than smoke.  He wondered how those starving people had managed to make fire.
It looked as if he would have to ditch the plan of burning the whole hill. There was no way he could scare the hill. In a rage, he rubbed the pieces of woods harder.
He felt something stinging his fingers.
Fire.
“You goddamn hill.” Roderick screamed with fire in his hand, “If you run from me this time then I will burn this forest.” He laughed.
Monkeys began chattering in fear.
“Listen to them and do them a favor. Let me get there.” Roderick spoke and began walking towards the hill with fire in his hand.
This time the hill did no trickery to him. It was a monkey who did. One of them dived towards him and took the fire out of his hands.
Roderick did not understand where the animal had put it out but he knew the fire was out when hill began to prank him again.
“You cannot reach there like this.” A deer came towards him.
It was the same mother deer whose child he had taken.
“What do you mean?” gasped Roderick.
“Only I can get there. This hill had promised to protect me and my child.” Mother deer said.
“I am sorry about your child.”
“You can’t be sorry than I am.” Deer started shedding tears, “Even so, I understand you. If you hadn’t given those people my child then they would have eaten you?”
“Eaten me? What are you saying?” Roderick was taken aback.
“They are cannibals.”
Holy s***!
“Do you want to get on that hill?” Mother deer asked, “I can help you.”
“Will you help?” he asked.
“Yes. Get on my back. I will take you there.” She said.
Roderick climbed on its back and they headed for the hill. This time, the hill only came closer. They stopped in front of a canyon.
“Get down. I can’t go far from here.” She said.
“But you said you come to stay here.” Roderick climbed down.
“I come here, but not in this place. Because I don’t want to fall in this canyon.” She said and kicked him by both of her legs.
Roderick fell inside the canyon.
“Did you think I had forgiven you?” he heard the deer say as he was falling.
