Zombie’s POV 12

Hours passed but Assistant couldn’t find leftover medicine which he could give to the Lieutenant. He thought he had plenty of it when he had cured Roderick.
Assistant could see some broken tubes near Lieutenant’s legs.
“You kicked medicine down, huh?” assistant whispered, “Now wait, you asshole.”
He was being annoyed by his constant growling.
Why doesn’t the doctor give me enough supplies? Assistant was infuriated. It was when he stopped searching and took the matter in his own hands. He did not care how rude he was going to appear.
Assistant went straight to the doctor’s research room.
There he found his door open. It didn’t surprise him more than what he saw in there.
Doctor lay there dead on floor with blood leaking out of his neck. He found an open drawer. Near the corpse, there were some other papers on floor.
Someone killed Doctor and stole papers. Assistant feared latter the most. Roderick. He grinded his teeth and charged towards a radio.
He communicated with Raphael directly.
The murder left entire camp in hysteria. Finding anyone who was not panicking was impossible. Finding Roderick anywhere also seemed impossible.
Raphael had gone to Adam and said, “Call him back here or I will kill you.”
Adam gave him no answer. In fact, how could he?
“Kill me, I don’t care. I don’t mind dying if my friends are free.” Adam answered.
Preceding an unfruitful interrogation, Raphael and his men stood near the entrance under the night sky. They did nothing other than watching the moon while their patrol crew had left to find Roderick.
There came a sharp beeping sound out of nowhere. It was like a mosquito’s magnified noise.
“Everyone!” the voice echoed. Raphael was swift when it came to recognizing the voice, “Can you hear me?”
Raphael fired a blank in the sky. The noise was loud enough to make birds on trees leave their nests. It was enough for something else, too.
Roderick flinched and almost dropped the megaphone from the branch of a tree. He was well outside camp area, but now his location had been revealed.
“Everyone! Come out of the camp right now or I will blow your camp into ashes.” Roderick looked at the stolen explosive tubes, “And yes, don’t dare to come near me.”
“Do what he says. He has the cure.” Raphael was compelled to make this decision.
Roderick saw many people come out of there. He had undermined the number of people living in the camp.
On the front, he saw the doctor‘s assistant holding a megaphone.
“This is a serious thing, Roderick.” Assistant spoke from there, “We have left our zombie days behind. We want to cure this epidemic. You came here for our freedom? We are free here.”
Adam doesn’t understand this. He wants you out from here no matter what.
Assistant continued, “Give the document back to us. We promise you won’t face any consequence.
Adam wanted them out. I can’t let them get back in this camp. Roderick was perplexed. “Is everyone out?” Roderick asked.
“Yes.” This time it was Raphael’s voice.
“You are not free till there is a camp.” Roderick began mixing the chemicals. He could feel the tube getting hot.
“I am sorry.” He said and threw it inside the camp.
Everyone watched the bile flying from a tree and landing on the camp area.
“Don’t get in. This camp is about to explode.” Roderick announced, “I will give you the papers when this camp explodes. Don’t worry.”
People started running away from the area.
Minutes passed, but nothing happened.
“Did you mix pink chemical with a light green one?” Assistant’s voice echoed.
“I guess so.” Roderick was embarrassed.
“Pink and dark green causes explosion.” Assistant paused, “Take your action Raphael.”
“Don’t come near me or I will tear this paper.”
“Who said we will come there?” Raphael’s voice travelled in air.
Red dots appeared on his chest.
