“I think something is wrong with this new guy called Roderick.” Doctor said, not knowing Roderick was hearing them, “I wanted to check his heartbeat, but he did not let me do it. He did not even let me check his body temperature. I got his blood pressure reading. It was so low that I am wondering how he is still alive.”
“I don’t know about medical complications, doc.”
“It is not about medical complications, Lieutenant!” Doctor bellowed, “I doubt he might be a zombie.”
“Come on, doc, you know this is not possible. Body temperature reading happens on gate.” Lieutenant said.
“I am perplexed as well.”
“Hmm…I will have a look at him. Don’t worry doc.” Lieutenant said and hung the call.
So did Roderick.
Who the hell is this Lieutenant now? Roderick wondered, but he knew whom he should stay away from.
Doctor.
The trouble which had arisen didn’t hinder his determination because he managed to shrug the threat off and walked away to search for the captives.
The structure of camp baffled him more than ever. He wondered how people could find their way within since everything looked the same there.
Where are the captives? He wanted to ask some people, but his hesitation stopped him from doing so.
The thing which he had shrugged off, like nothing, had now started to grow within him. Every man in army uniform seemed Lieutenant to him. He found it touch not to flinch after seeing any person in camouflage dress.
Paranoia grew within him as he saw his reflection on a window glass. His pale tone was not natural. When he took his hand to scratch his forehead, then he noticed how ice cold his fingers were.
What else could he expect? He was a dead man, after all.
Screw you wizards. Roderick stomped and got past the blind folded shooters who once fascinated him.
While he was walking, he noticed a bulky man behind him. Roderick panicked but couldn’t dare to look back. Instead, he thought of accelerating his steps. His thought came to action and now it was difficult to tell if he was walking or sprinting.
He could feel his bones tightening.
Roderick was compelled to have a look at the person behind him. He was still following Roderick. And he held a gun in his hand.
