“Alright! Everyone choose your roommates for the next 3 days! I wish I won’t need to explain myself as to why boys and girls can’t be roommates, alright?”

Everyone then formed groups and just as expected, I was left alone with nobody really wanting to group up with me.
“Guess I’ll sleep with the dogs.”
“L-Leon…”
I said amused but Alice felt saddened at this sight, helpless that she can’t do anything.
“Hm? Leon, you’re alone? Then, shall we group together?”
The teacher said with a grin and I couldn’t help feeling a shudder down my spine. It wasn’t like he had a bad reputation or something, but anyone could tell that he most probably snored quite loudly at night.
“S-sir, I can sleep with the dogs just fine. I’ve slept outside before after overworking, no problem.”
“You mean to say that you’d rather sleep with the dogs than with me, huh? You punk?!”
“If I say yes, then will you let me? Look, I got a bench as well that can be used.”

The others tried to hold in a laugh but the teacher only turned redder, walking towards me furiously. However, Simon then stepped forward and announced simply,
“Sir, my group has four people. I could group with Leon if there’s no problem.”

Everyone looked baffled at him, confused as to why he would do so. Even Alice stared suspiciously at him, knowing Simon for being rather aggressive with me.
“Hey, I heard that Simon and Leon were found walking together somewhere, then the next day both of them were found with injuries. Think they might’ve finally fought it out?”
“Wrong, man. Leon said that he harmed himself at work while Simon said it was from training. There’s no way Simon wouldn’t have used that to put Leon in difficulty, right?”
“Even if you say that, Simon seems to want to help Leon now, no?”
“I-It is weird indeed…”
The other students looked confused at one another then at Simon and me. Right after, another fat student stepped forward and announced loudly as if in a hurry,
“Teach, teach! Imma group with them as well!”
“W-wait! But you were supposed to group with us?!”
“What does it matter? Now you will be 3. Anyway, see ya!”
He then left the group that stared baffled at him and rushed beside me. From his gaze alone I could tell that he did so because he had something planned, but I couldn’t care as Simon’s announcement was what made me frown. Seeing me glare at him, Simon raised his hands as in surrender while coming closer,
“Don’t look at me like that. I didn’t do this so to befriend you. I simply found you too pitiful to be left alone.”
“Or you simply thought that you could get to Alice through me, right?”
“W-wrong!”
“Oh? We had the same plan?”

As I interrogated Simon, the fatty suddenly asked surprised, both Simon and I stopping quarreling and glaring at the fatty.
“And what do you mean by that?”
I asked after raising an eyebrow, annoyed yet curious at how these two idiots would want to use me to talk with girls.
“Hehe~ it’s simple. On the bus, I saw Leon talking and playing with a bunch of cute girls while Simon it’s known to be quite popular with the ladies already. I knew from the start that if I team up with you two hot-messes, I would strike it rich! Hehehe~.”

“Just, oah…”
At his perverted grin, we both took a step back surprised and disgusted at the same time, thinking just how big the world was,
I never thought I’d feel admiration and disgust about the same person at the same time. A man of culture.
I looked at Simon and, based on his expression, he might as well think of the same thing as he massaged his temples while sighing deeply. I did the same and just shook my head then went to our room, the teacher giving each group one key.
So that means we’ll need to stay together, right? S***.
I couldn’t help making a sour face after seeing only one key but then an idea struck me. When we arrived in our room, I immediately crashed on my bed then waved at the other two.
“I’ll be staying in the room. You two are free to do as you please. See ya.”

As I scrolled through my phone with a satisfied smile, the other two looked at me with plain faces then wanted to drag me off the bed, both grabbing one leg each and pulling strongly.
“Woah?! What the f*** are you bastards doing?! Let go! I don’t swing that way!”
I was holding onto the bed as my life depended on it then Simon and the fatty started shouting back annoyed,
“You bastard! If I don’t take you with us, then Alice won’t go out either and then only you two will remain!”
“Exactly! And if that Alice woman remains, then the other two would remain as well! Going with Simon won’t give the same probability of gaining chicks compared to going with you!
“Wait, what does that mean?”
Simon then let go of me and stared sharply at the fatty, making his jolt for a moment.
“Err, well, you see~…”
“Can you two perverts just mind your own business and leave me alone? I’m already tired from the trip alone.”
After both of them let go of me, I crashed back on the bed and got up rather annoyed, turning at them with a twitching smile.
-Knock, knock-
As we quarreled between us, a knocking sound resounded at the door, Simon going to open the door only to find some of his buddies coming in excited.
“Yo, Simon! Suddenly leaving our group like that, not cool man.”
“Yeah dude. Mind your manners.”
“Oh~ so this is the infamous Leon. Why are you posing like a French girl?”
“For you, honey. Wanna take a pic?”
“Don’t mind him, guys. How come you came to visit so soon?”
After coming in I was surprised to see that they actually greeted us normally while joking amused, Simon chatting with them just as merely. At his question, they looked at each other troubled then one of them said with a forced smile,
“Well, about that-“
-Knock, knock-
“Oh s***…”
They sighed as if already knowing who it was. When Simon opened the door, a group of 4 girls barged in while exclaiming excitedly,
“Simon! Let’s go and visit the shops around!”
“The teacher said that the girls have to bring with them at least one boy. You will come and protect us, right~?”
“Rather, let’s all go together! You boys are free anyway, right?”
“Hey, don’t decide that on your own.”
“Why not? I’m in! Come on ladies~.”
“Wait, who’re you?”
The group of girls started to chat with Simon and the other group of boys while fatty quickly integrated himself as there were girls involved now, the room suddenly feeling not so spacious anymore.
-Knock, knock-
“No f****** way it’s another one of your groups, Simon!”
I exclaimed annoyed and Simon smiled wryly then opened the door, only to see Alice’s group by the door.
“Eh? Have I got the wrong room?”
The first thing that greeted her was more groups of girls and boys staring at her curiously, with Simon in front. Behind all of that, I appeared while waving my arms above my head from the other end of the room.
“Yo~! Welcome to everyone’s room! Initially used by 3 boys, later to turn into a public space! Come in, come in! After all, the entry is f****** free, ain’t it?!”
She smiled amused as the others also laughed then she and her friends came in, Mira hiding shyly behind Alice until she reached my bed where she relaxed the moment she got to sit on it, this bed being also the furthest in the room.
“Don’t sit on my pillow~! You brat!”
“Kya?!”
I shouted annoyed and she jumped scared, becoming aware of what she was sitting on. Blushing embarrassed she took it out and presented it to me while trembling,
“Now why give it to me, huh? You want me to sniff it or something?”
The boys laughed out loud while the girls giggled amused, Alice looking worryingly at Mira, thinking that she might start crying again. Hearing this, Mira quickly hid the pillow behind her, making me erupt again,
“Now you sit on it again?! Brat I’ll forge you!”
“Kyahahah~! Good job, Mira! You’re the best!”
Marina hugged Mira who looked around confused, only to relax again after feeling her friend’s warmth then stared at me and showed me her small tongue in protest. Seeing this, a vein appeared on my forehead, and I wanted to rush at her to pinch her cheeks real good, only to have Alice hold me back by the arm while laughing as well.
After another hour of chatting and laughing, everyone decided to go on a walk outside but I refused every time.
“Just why would I go as well? You guys are more than enough. Let me guard the room, would you?”
“Come on, Leon. It’s your first trip after a long while, why are you so stubborn? Don’t you want to have fun?”
“I have plenty simply by sleeping.”
Alice tried to pull me into going but I simply didn’t feel like it. Then Simon came to us with his arms crossed, shaking his head at such a sight.
“Leave him be, Alice. No need to force someone who doesn’t wanna. Why not come with me? I will be sure to-…”
He then closed his mouth the moment we made eye contact, staring at him sharply as if saying,
I see you bastard already forgot our bet, huh? Should I smash your head harder next time? Huh? I’ll f****** murder you.
“No thank you, Simon. I will make Leon come in the end.”
“A-alright.”
Alice also snorted uninterested and wanted to try and convince me again, until a thought struck her as she asked Marina with a devilish smile,
“Hey, isn’t this mountain an iron one?”
“Huh? How should I know? Why even ask?”
“Well~ I was just thinking that near places where iron is being extracted, the items made of the respective metal would be cheaper so~…”
As Alice chatted with Marina, she glanced once my way, only to no longer see me on the bed, looking around confused.
“Oy, what takes ya’ll so long? Come on! We only got 4 hours!”
I was already at the door and putting my shoes on, everyone staring baffled at me as I left through the door.
“Was he always so easy to trick?”
“I- I don’t think so…”
Marina asked baffled and Simon answered just as surprised. Then Alice quickly ran after me with an urgent tone shouting after me,
“W-wait! Leon! We must first inform the teachers!”
