I looked around baffled and she chuckled amused after she closed the door behind.
“Most people react as you do. There are some who shout in amazement as well.”
“Who did that?”
“Marina did.”

Alice sat down on her bed while hugging a fluffy doll, making me wonder where I could sit. In the end, I just decided to… sit. Literally on the floor while feeling somewhat awkward.

She laughed amused after seeing my troubled expression and patted the place near her on top of the bed. I got up and sat beside her on the bed, surprised by how soft the bed actually was. She smiled amused then commented,

The door opened widely then Alice’s mother got in and I greeted her politely, going to help her carry the trail with tea.
Thankfully, it seems that the floor would let out creaking noises whenever someone stepped right in front of the door, giving me a signal to act before the door opened.

With a red face, Alice was pouting while glaring at her mother, burrowing her face in the plushie. I smiled wryly and after her mother left, I slowly placed the teas on the table.

“Hm?”
She called out to me and when I turned to her, her face turned even redder and she just looked away somewhat embarrassed,

Knowing what she wanted to say, I smirked then with sharp eyes I got up and said,
“You know? You’ve been hugging that plushie since we got here.”

However, this time I just sighed as I simply patted her head, placing the cup down.
