“… What are you doing here?”
I sighed troubled and she smiled up to me, her green eyes as if sparkling after seeing me.
“You really took your time on that date. I had to wait for an hour here.”
She hugged her knee while stretching out one leg seemingly numb. I shook my head then just pointed with my thumb behind me, a neutral face on,
“Not my fault. Now please move, I need to open the door.”
She got up and after I opened the door she quickly stopped me for a moment, only half a step inside now.
“L-Leon!”
“Hm?”
“You know? I want to talk with you for a bit… Can I come in?”
“I’m listening here.”
“It might take a while… and I’m cold.”
“… You’re really one troublesome fellow.”
I clicked my tongue annoyed then let her in, closing the door after us. She sat down on a stool while I crashed on my bed, feeling comfortable.
“So? What’s up?”
I asked instantly as I didn’t wish for any beating around the bush. She then took a deep breath and looked at me intently,
“I made a challenge with Alice.”
“I know.”
“…Yes?”
She looked surprised at me as if not expecting for Alice to actually tell me the news. She then felt a bit dispirited and asked another thing,
“T-then did she tell you that I also want us to start over-“
“She did. And I refuse. Please find someone else.”
“I-Is it because of-“
“Alice? No. She has nothing to do with this. Even If I was alone, I would’ve still refused.”
“W-why?! Didn’t you love me?”
“Yes, I loved you. And very much so…”
“Then!”
“But that was then, now is now. You left me for an agreeable reason and I understood that. I don’t blame you, nor do I condemn you. Now, just like how I respected your decision back then, I want you to respect mine. I don’t desire to be with you anymore.”
“Leon… I already made that bet.”
“Even if you were to win and Alice would break up with me, I would still refuse.”
“B-but why?!”
She shouted frustrated while her whole body was shaking. She looked at me with red eyes and walked towards me, her face dark.
“…”
At first I thought she wanted to slap me or behave violently, only to suddenly have her sit on top of me, taking her shirt off.
“What the heck are you doing…?”
I was taken aback by her reaction and her face turned red, seemingly embarrassed. She took my hand and placed it on her chest, making me feel her plump breast to the fullest. I could feel how her nipple was slowly turning harder from below my palm, showing her involuntary excitement.
“Remember when we first had our first night…? You were so shy back then, your face was bright red.”
“…”
I said nothing as I instinctively groped her breast, making her moan softly in surprise. Thinking that I was responding to her, Sylvia smiled for a moment as she wanted to lean closer. However, before she could do that, I quickly got up and pushed her away by the shoulders, my eyes calm yet resolute.
“First and last. We no longer have anything to do with one another, Sylvia.”
“…”
She felt like crying but she held it in while biting her lip. She got off me then dressed back up with her back facing me. I sighed out at ease but then she turned once again with a sharp glare and announced,
“You might no longer want me, but I want you. I’ll defeat Alice, then make you fall for me.”
“I don’t get you. You left me, now why are you so stuck on having me back?”
“Because I love you, isn’t it obvious?!”
She shouted back with tears falling down her face but I looked calmly at her, thinking for a bit then asked sharply,
“Are you sure it is love? Or you just don’t want to accept it because of a prideful reason?”
“… I will win tomorrow.”
“Sigh…”
I said nothing more as she simply left, slamming the door behind her.
Slamming doors? Really? I won’t pay for it if it breaks.
I went to lock the door after her then crashed back on my bed tired. But just as I thought I could change into my pajamas to go to sleep, I suddenly got disturbed by someone who slammed my door and forced the handle,
“Open up, you f*****! You dare call us thieves?!”
“… The wave passes then comes a storm… Why is my luck just so…”
It was already 11 PM and I was almost asleep until this happened. I sighed tiredly then took my jacket and special shirt, changed into them quickly and opened the door.
“Got you, f*****- Guh!”
Just as I opened the door, an arm grabbed at my collar, only to quickly let go as bloody cuts appeared on his fingers right after. I never really expected to need this jacket and shirt, but God bless that I got them. I seriously didn’t feel like throwing punches at the moment.
I looked at the two idiots and sighed exasperated, especially at the idiot with a bloody hand, then waved my hand displeased.
“I don’t give food to beggars as Alice does. Piss off now, I’m trying to sleep.”
“Listen up you c***-“
The same guy tried to grab my arm to pull me in but ended up only having both hands cut now, remaining baffled at how many blades I was hiding on my body. I patted my jacket to rearrange it then glared annoyed at the two.
“Look. If you still wish to be able to participate in tomorrow’s competition, then better just piss off. If not, then come at me. You can’t touch me, while I can fill your faces with punches for as much as I want. Shall we give it a try?”
I showed them my large knuckles and both of them remained mute for a moment, staring at my big fist. Although I wasn’t showing it, they were still able to tell from my posture and from my physique that I was practicing some kind of fighting style, unable to underestimate me as I was no smaller than them. Even so, their pride still didn’t let them fall back, gulping once then continued the trash-talking,
“Bastard I swear, we’ll be sure to kill you sooner or later-“
“I swear, it feels like you all got a chip installed with the exact same lines. The last dude I smashed said the same s*** until I punched out his teeth… But oh well, nothing I can do if you’re just so persistent.”
I smiled cynically and the two of them turned white preparing for combat,
“So you’re finally up for a beating-“
“HELP! TWO THIEVES ARE TRYING TO ROB ME!”
“For real?! Again-!”
Right after, I slammed my door and from inside the other rooms, more noises resounded, making the two guys quickly rush down the stairs in a panic.
-THUD THUD THUD!-
As I held my laughter in, I listened from behind my door how more people went out of their rooms and looked around, some even shouting at the two running idiots, confusing them for real thieves rushing down the stairs.
