The small statue sent a thin ray of golden light towards the unconscious Yu Xiaolong.

His parents, who were lethargic after injuring each other, were startled by the fast events that led to their son’s tragic state. They were so worried that they didn’t notice the golden light burrow into Yu Xiaolong.

They saw their son’s bright red scales disintegrate, his flesh mangled, and his blood spurt like a fountain.

He was in such a dire state that if anyone couldn’t offset the force of his falling body, the crash would likely result in his immediate death.

His mother quickly gathered the winds and clouds to break Yu Xiaolong’s fall, hoping to catch him without inflicting further harm. The winds spun underneath him while the clouds wrapped around him. The winds and clouds worked in tandem as they protected Yu Xiaolong.

But suddenly, his mother’s face had quickly turned grave.

She felt her control slipping.

As if someone was trying to wrestle the winds from her grasp.

The winds, which were keeping Yu Xiaolong afloat, had dispersed the clouds that were wrapping around him. The winds replaced the clouds as they enveloped him in a violent tempest.

The forceful winds aggravated Yu Xiaolong’s wounds, it stripped off the flesh of his body. The bits of flesh danced with the winds as they condensed around him, forming a blood-red egg-like cyclone that concealed his figure.

The blood egg pulsed with the shrine under the astonished gazes of Yu Xiaolong’s family.

His parents look worried as they scrutinized the pulsing egg, not knowing what to do. But they soon turned their attention to their daughter as they heard her roar.

They saw their daughter curl up, with scale-like black ice forming all over her body. It didn’t take long before she was fully outfitted by the scales, making her look more intimidating.

Steam started to emerge from the gaps of the scales as if something was emanating incredible heat from within her body. Soon after, the flesh along her spine split, spewing thick black vapor.

The curled-up eel soon turned her attention to the pulsating egg floating right above her. She opened her maw wide, fully revealing her sharp menacing teeth. Her second set of jaws came to full view too.

She fired a pressurized liquid straight towards the egg, only to be blocked by the wing of their mother.

Their mother was shocked by the sight of the few frozen feathers in her wing. Her husband, who was in the form of a bull, quickly use his body to separate the siblings,

He suppressed his rampaging daughter with his weight to keep his son safe.

After making sure that his daughter would remain immobilized for the duration of the ritual, he turned a worried glance at the egg pulsating above.

The egg’s resonance with the shrine has reached its peak, vibrating with a high frequency.

Then everything went still.

The winds, the blood, the shredded flesh, and the shrine. Even the breaths of the people present stopped.

It was only a second delay, but the phenomena stunned the four powerful beings in the shrine.

The egg expanded on over three times its size. The flow of the winds reversed, along with the flesh and blood.

It was a tornado carrying flesh and blood, the winds splattered all of it, leaving the scene with gore and mess.

The dispersing winds revealed a large unconscious beautiful fish, who was defying the laws of gravity by staying afloat in the air.

Yu Xiaolong, who was floating was a fish, has a very different appearance compared to when he first transformed.

His body is now 2 meters long, and it became slender and refined. His mouth was transformed to look like a hooked beak, similar to a falcon’s. His scales that were used to be brilliant red is now mixed with deep blue. His fins were still beautiful and ethereal, it was 20 meters long, trailing behind his body like a fluttering veil.

Upon seeing the gigantic fish, the rampaging eel under the giant bull quickly calmed down.

The parents looked into each other’s eyes, then towards the two elders presiding the ritual. the sibling’s father quickly stopped suppressing his daughter. While the sibling’s mother quickly flew beside her unconscious son.

Feeling the weight burdening her body disappear, Yu Heixue, the Black Ice Eel only managed to raise her head before quickly losing consciousness.

Soon after, the huge fish, Yu Xiaolong, was brought down by his mother. He was held gently between his mother’s talons.

She laid him beside his sister. Seeing the fish and the eel sleeping side by side, she finally let out a sigh of relief.

The ritual went well except for the weird occurrences that happened to her son. She quickly transformed into her human form and quickly floated towards the two elders.

Seeing her actions, the bull quickly transformed back too and followed his wife to ask his parents.

He was stunned when he saw the look on his father’s face. It was a gleaming smile, a wide smile can be seen across the high and mighty Yu Patriarch.

It was rare for the Yu Patriarch to be in a good mood. Even more so, when he was blatantly showing it.

He heard his father console his wife that everything was alright. In fact, this was an event worthy to be celebrated.

” Don’t be so worried, my grandson’s future is exceptionally bright now. I don’t have to be worried that he’ll be bullied in the future. ” the Yu Patriarch laughed.

He then explained the advantages the ritual brought to Yu Xiaolong. How he’ll endorse him towards the academy, and his plans to get him a capable wife.

The Yu Patriarch only stopped when the Yu Matriarch said her piece.

” Now… Stop listening to the old man’s yapping and get the children fixed up for bed. They are tired and the shrine is not a good place for them to sleep. ” She said as she stared towards her husband, who lost his composure due to joy.
