Chapter – 102 – hard Murder

After deflecting the Stone Ancestor Giant’s attacks, it was now time for Epsilon’s counterattack against the Magister Level creature. He let out a breath and whispered.

“Vacuum Bomb”

As the spell was cast, three Vacuum Bombs appeared and within a fraction of a second, shot directly at the Stone Ancestor Giant. Albeit stone-based, the Giant was indeed a smart creature; in fact, should it not be made up of stone, it would probably be more intelligent than ordinary humans.

Even with its comparatively weak intelligence, it could understand the enemy spell was capable of hurting it, and it immediately went on the defense.

“Spirit Stone Wall”

The Stone Ancestor Giant’s shield successfully blocked one of the Vacuum Bombs, but alas it had no time to block the remaining two bombs — one may argue Epsilon left nothing to chance when he cast three bombs at once.

One of the Vacuum Bombs hit the Stone Ancestor Giant’s neck and the other hit its belly. On contact, the two Vacuum Bombs detonated and almost all the fights stopped because of the commotion that followed. The sound of the explosion and the sheer force attracted everyone’s attention.

Many weaker monsters and creatures died due to the bomb’s energy and the heat it produced. The Stone Ancestor Giant became headless, its body completely turned into dust. The seven-meter tall creature dropped on the ground, crushing the weaker creatures with its heavy body.

A Magister Level creature fell on the battlefield just like that.

Everyone was shocked. This Giant may not be among the most intelligent, but in the end, it was an authentic Magister Level creature. This was the same level as Spectator and the Werfur Base – Anderium’s Leader Warin. Yet, it died with barely a couple of spells from the enemy human mage.

This was enough to spread anxiety and fear among the magical creatures who were fast losing sight of what they were going to do next. But this move boosted courage and hope among the human mages’ side.

Even the Eagle Fighters in the sky did not hold back and advanced further, attacking the War Machine – Model 3.

“Diiiuv”

“Booom”

Within seconds, five of the Eagle Fighters attacked one of the War Machines – Model 3 and destroyed it. The explosion looked like hellfire to the monsters but like fireworks to the human side.

Even the Eagle Fighters were affected when Epsilon slew the Giant.

At this time, on the West Side, two tall Reaper Anubites, holding dull Gold sickles exuding dark energy in their hands, were leading more than 50 Regular Anubites. From afar, this was a two-general led mini-army but on closer look, these were all Epsilon’s summoned creatures.

The West and East Reaper Anubites were connected, and with this army at their command, they were silently commencing the attack on the Werfur race troop that was positioned to attack the Western side of the city.

This was the troop that the West Reaper Anubite had discovered when Epsilon dispatched the two Reaper Anubites to scout the surrounding area. It was his command to destroy this ‘bunny’ force, and his precise command was to “show no mercy” while doing so.

The Reaper Anubites were intelligent creatures. They knew their summoner had a connection with the Werfurs. Perhaps this was the reason why there was no ambiguity in Epsilon’s attack order when he asked them to go all out. Needless to say, the summoned creatures would fulfil their creator’s order without hesitation.

Within five seconds, they encountered the Werfur race troop that was about 70-100 Werfurs strong. All of them were at least mages or warriors; there were no ordinary Werfurs among them and they were silently making way towards the city. Their idea was to attack the city from a different side, opening up another battlefield so that the humans would have to fight both from the front and back at once.

Too bad though they were calculated by Epsilon.

With a simple order from the West and East Reaper Anubites, the 50 Regular Anubites jumped high and started butchering the mages, who had almost no fight power when it came to a physical battle.

“Nooo”

“Help me!”

“Warriors, stop these creatures!!”

Piercing wails and shrieks came from everywhere. While the Regular Anubites attacked the mages, the Reaper Anubites attacked the strongest Werfur mages and warriors, clearing them out one at a time.

For the Werfur mages, fighting the Anubites in a confrontation was a no-no, but the Werfur Warriors were capable of taking down three to four of them at the same time. Factoring in this difference in strength, the West and East Anubites specifically targeted the warriors so that the Anubites would face no problem finishing off the mages.

Their strategy was to kill the mages’ protectors and hence damage the main offensive unit. Facts proved this was a sound move because within 10 minutes, all the Werfur mages and Werfur warriors that were planning to launch a sneak attack on the city, were destroyed. The blood in the air was so thick and because of the magical effects, the onlookers could see a thick blood fog surrounding the trees.

The stench of blood made the forest smell like an underground metal base, the aroma lingering in the Anubites’ mouths, aggravating their bloodlust.

The Anubites came from the Death God Anubis. They were not necessarily good creatures and it could be said that they lived with ‘death’. After all, they loved and served the keeper of death ‘Anubis’.

“Oh, this is bad!”

Leader Warin spoke to the other two leaders present with him in an urgent tone.

Spectator and the Lord of Anderium turned to him in surprise.

Leader Warin started talking.

“My Werfur mages and warrior troop that was preparing to attack the city from the west side was ambushed by a small army of Epsilon’s summoned creatures. We have lost them all…”

As Leader Warin conveyed these words, he let out a cold breath. There were more than 70 mages in that army. This was indeed a big loss for the Werfur Base. Cultivating mages and warriors was not easy, not to mention these were also his kith and kin.

Spectator and the Lord of Anderium heard Leader Warin and looked at each other meaningfully. At this time, they were both thinking the same thing.

“We need to destroy this human mage Epsilon or we are going to lose this battle.”

They both said this at the same time looking at Leader Warin. But Warin only shook his head and smiled as he informed.

“Killing him should not be hard but the problem is that he has an ability called teleportation. Unless we do not stop this teleportation, we will not be able to end him.”
