Leader Warin’s warning had a visible impact both on Spectator and the Lord of Anderium. The Lord of Anderium was an Expert Level 1 creature, a level higher than Magister. He was aware of the existence of such abilities. Spectator too was a being of wisdom and power. Therefore, he had some information about such spells and magical techniques as well.
Such spells were not easy. No creature capable of using teleportation, which was essentially the ability to manipulate space and dimensional at the same time, was simple to capture or kill.
Other than the use of the Dimensional Lock spell that Leader Warin was proficient in, there was no way to stop the enemy mage Epsilon from escaping any time or any place that he wanted to.
The three leaders understood this very well. The problem with the Dimensional Lock was not its difficulty to use but its range of application. If there were no additional magical items to support the spell, the range cast would not be more than 20 meters. As long as the enemy was farther from this distance, he could still easily use teleportation however he wanted.
Of course, the ability effect and range would change according to the one casting the spell or their pure magical ability. For example, the Dimensional Lock that the Black Cloud Manifestation of Fear had cast in the Stone and Forest Dimension Realities to restrict Nick had a range of over 1000 KM. For Nick to escape this 1000 KM was not possible. If it was possible, it meant there was no need to escape and that his ability was enough to simply fight the enemy instead.
From just this, the power difference between Leader Warin and the Manifestation of Fear was obvious.
“What are we going to do?”
Spectator asked this looking for their next step, and Leader Warin and Lord of Anderium looked at each other and nodded. The Lord of Anderium answered with a glimmer in his eyes.
“I will create a contract with a Space-Eater creature.”
As he said this, the Spectator met Anderium Lord’s snake eyes and he immediately understood.
A Space-Eater type creature had the natural ability to block space spells and any techniques that used space. It was a bane for all individuals and creatures that were proficient in using space spells or had space-technological gadgets or similar magical items.
The Space Eaters were capable of completely stopping enemies with space abilities. It could be said that once a mage was close to them, they would be unable to cast any space-type spells. Space Eaters passively exuded a spell similar to dimensional locks, creating an environment where space could not be manipulated by any force or technology.
Once the Lord of Anderium said this, he immediately began whispering.
“Spell – Contract – Eye of Void.”
As soon as these words ended, Spectator, Lord of Anderium and Leader Warin entered in a dream state. This dream state showed a planet and gave information about the planet itself.
The planet Pandora, as it was called by most scientists, was a life-planets-like existence in a vast solar system with 22 other planets.
Pandora was about 15.3 times bigger than life planets and its gravity was about 6.29 times stronger than that of other such planets.
A single day lasted 12.07 hours and a year was of 171 days. The planet was made up of 12 continents that made up 80% of the planet’s landmass.
The planet had four moons and Pandora revolved around an orange sun in a wide, elliptic orbit.
The plant-like organisms on this planet were mostly bushes, shrubs and flowers, with a healthy amount of fungi and grasses but very few tree species. The shrubs were the dominant organisms on this planet as they grew faster and wider, with many different shapes, sizes and colors.
Attracting animals to help with pollination and reproduction was usually done with smells and bright colors but most species on this planet did it differently. They used ‘sound’ as the most preferred way to attract animals, leading to some of the most spectacular natural orchestras.
Some species let the wind blow between specialized openings which created special sounds. Others produced sound with specific mechanisms, usually in the form of clapping, that could be compared to how an Arig flytrap caught its prey.
The water plants on this planet were very different from what was seen on life planets. While they roughly shared the same colors, or lack thereof, these plants had developed into mostly flesh-eating species.
Almost no aquatic creature was safe; even the bigger ones could sometimes get caught in these deathtraps.
Like life planets, this planet was home to many sentient mammals, both land and aquatic. However, land mammals were far more advanced. What’s perhaps most peculiar was that on this planet, ape-like creatures seemed to be the most intelligent. While the differences between this planet and life planets were vast, the similarities were astonishing and perhaps a bit frightening.
As Leader Warin and the others came out of the dream, a levitating symbol manifested itself. The symbol was a triangle inside a circle.
On seeing the symbol, the Lord of Anderium started talking in a very respectful tone.
“We would like to contract a Space Eater in return for 100,000 Ether Stones.”
Once the words of the Lord of Anderium were over, the circle-triangle shaped symbol vibrated for a second and then stopped.
The Lord of Anderium pulled two sacks of Ether Stones from his space ring and put them just below the symbol. Within 10 seconds, the two sacks vanished and bright white light, strong enough to blind three strong creatures, surrounded the environment.
As the light vanished gradually, a humanoid-shaped creature showed itself. It was all white in color and was dressed in basic leather magic robes.
The Lord of Anderium smiled and started talking.
“Space Eater, your mission is to destroy and kill the mage named Epsilon.”
As the command ended, the contracted humanoid creature slowly walked out of the base.
