chapter – 146 – Creation Of Crowia – Part 1

The creation of Crowia’s first member, a Crowman was not simple for Epsilon. But he knew that all details of the process had to be completed with perfection for the optimum results. Having completed the first part under the ‘Knowledge’ section, he steadily added more.

‘Knowledge 2’

A crow is a bird of the genus Corvus, or more broadly a synonym for all of Corvus. The word ‘crow’ is used as part of the common name of species.

Corvus is a widely distributed genus of medium-sized to large birds in the family Corvidae. The genus includes species commonly known as crows, ravens and rooks. There is no consistent distinction between ‘crows’ and ‘ravens’, and these appellations have been assigned to different species chiefly based on their size, crows generally being smaller than ravens.

The 45 or so members of this genus occur on all temperate continents except South America, and several islands. The crow genus makes up a third of the species in the family Corvidae. The members appear to have evolved in Asia from the corvid stock, which had evolved in Australia. The collective name for a group of crows is a ‘flock’ or a ‘murder’. The genus name is Latin for ‘crow’.

Recent research has found some crow species capable of not only tool use, but also tool construction.

Crows are considered to be among some of the most intelligent animals with an encephalization quotient equal to that of many non-human primates.’

Once the section was completed, Epsilon had started researching about the ‘Crow’ or ‘Corvus’ section of the race he wanted to create. He used knowledge of ‘Life’ and Knowledge of ‘Crow – Corvus’ for the race itself, but he knew that more knowledge and imagination was needed. The exhaustion of his magical energy was speeding up, but he stayed still meditating so that he could regenerate the consumed magical energy simultaneously.

“It seems I have underestimated the magical energy needed to create a new intelligent race. My magical energy reserves are being pushed to the extreme. Sure enough, creating a race, a lifeform from scratch, is nothing like creating technologies or magical items. Some things are indeed sacred and not easy to accomplish.”

Epsilon mused to himself as he mulled over the seriousness of the task he had assigned to himself this time. The more he progressed, the more he realized the gravity of the things at hand and how hard it was going to be if he had to fulfil his plans.

As he added more to the ‘Knowledge’ section, he lost large amounts of magical energy. The next additions had to be about the intellect and comprehension level of the race and Epsilon did not dare to imagine how much that would tax him.

He inhaled a long breath as he continued thinking about what more had to be added. After some time had passed, Epsilon felt better and moved forward adding elements to improve the race. After some consideration, he settled on what he was going to choose as the third part in the knowledge section. For the basic grasp of every ability he added, there should be enough knowledge that his magical energy could support to activate the ability in the creatures.

‘Knowledge 3’

A genius was a person who displayed exceptional intellectual ability, creative productivity, universality in genres, or originality, typically to a degree that was associated with the achievement of discoveries or advances in a domain of knowledge. Geniuses may be polymaths who excelled across many diverse subjects or may show high achievements in only a single kind of activity.

There was no scientifically precise definition of a genius. Sometimes genius was associated with talent, but several authors such as Cesare Lombroso and Arthur Schopenhauer systematically distinguished these terms.

Walter Isaacson, a biographer of many well-known geniuses, explained that although high intelligence may be a prerequisite, the most common trait that defined a genius may be the extraordinary ability to apply creativity and imaginative thinking to almost any situation and in a variety of forms such as mathematical, literary, musical performance.

Genius people tend to have strong intuitions about their domains, and they build on these insights with tremendous energy.

Carl Rogers, a founder of the Humanistic Approach to Psychology, expanded on the idea of a genius trusting his or her intuition in a given field, writing, “El Greco, for example, must have realized as he looked at some of his early work, that ‘good artists do not paint like that’. But somehow he trusted his own experiencing life, the process of himself, sufficiently that he could go on expressing his unique perceptions. It was as though he could say, ‘good artists don’t paint like this, but I paint like this’.

Or to move to another field, Ernest Hemingway was surely aware that ‘good writers do not write like this’. But fortunately, he moved toward being Hemingway, being himself, rather than toward someone else’s conception of a good writer.

Epsilon had barely added ‘Genius’ and its meaning to the Crovia Race and his head began splitting with pain so irresistible that even him, despite his caliber, began feeling subdued and scared for his life.

As an instant measure, he used some of his magical energy to soothe the pain and heal himself. Nonetheless, as the seconds passed, he was on the ground with bloodshot eyes. Therefore, he stopped with the creation process immediately and decided to rest for some time before continuing with the spell. He teleported back to his room in his home.

The magical energy of these things was not the best and not one that would kill strong mages, at least not Epsilon, but the fact that he was trying to create a new life, which was not a trivial matter from any perspective in the world of magic and the universe, the magical energy demanded from him was too much. Even with the power of knowledge from his world, as well as the imagination, Epsilon’s Lord Level Mage status too would not make things easier for him.

If he was not careful in this matter, which meant that if he was not using the knowledge of earth and imagination, and did not have the help of the system, the second he would have tried something like this, he would be deliquesced. The magical energy in his body would not be able to handle the demands of his intentions. He would need to pay a debt that would be much more than just his magical energy.
