chapter – 152 – Starlord Planet

The land was filled with mountains and caves. The distance end-to-end was 1000 KM and it was shaped as a cubic, therefore around 1000×1000 KM. It was rather big for a starter land and was priced at 500,000 Ether Stones. This was the price of half a Void Stone but Epsilon could afford it without thinking too much.

Epsilon’s energy production facility alone brought him a regular, tidy profit. These things were no longer pricey for him. The land was not small and enough for building a new country. Considering the means of the Green Spider Race, Epsilon imagined they would use the land with more effective ideas that ideally should give them enough power to do more things.

Of course, as one of the people from the planet, his eyes would always stay on the Green Spider race and if they started doing anything that went against the promised good conduct, like eyeing control of the planet or more lands or attacking others, unprovoked, things would get messy for them. Invasion or unauthorized land grab was not a joke to Epsilon.

After buying the land, he took several documents and signed one of them before teleporting back home. Sparia gazed at Epsilon with curious eyes. He still could not comprehend how a being was able to teleport without the use of any technological gadget. As a technological civilization, they were not that well versed in what magic could achieve and hence, they did not understand how Epsilon made this work.

Even if Epsilon told them that every time he teleported, he opened a quantum void and entered it to then appear in the target location, making himself essentially turn into quantum particles, it would still be strange if they could understand what he was talking about.

Epsilon got closer to Sparia and gave him a paper and a map that had a rectangle sign on it showing the land and its borders.

“Sign this paper and the land shown on the map will be yours and your clan’s. You can do anything there because the land would be yours. The land is 1000 KM to 1000 KM. It is bigger than this place by more than 10,000 times. It would be enough for you people to have a peaceful time there. Not to mention the land is filled with mountains and caves that you can use for other purposes. I believe it is enough for you and your race.”

Sparia heard him out and then exhaled a long breath. He did not know how to answer or react to this. At this time, a smile appeared on his face but seeing that something changed in Epsilon’s eyes. Epsilon entered into a dream-like state without really volunteering for it. It was a simple dream though.

The planet Star-Lord, the most popular name of the natives, was an Earth-like planet in a small solar system with eight other planets. Star-Lord was about 23.6 times bigger than Earth and its gravity was about 13.68 times that of Earth.

A single day lasted 30.88 hours and a year lasted 395 days. The planet was made up of nine continents, which made up 74% of the planet’s landmass. Five moon(s) orbited the planet and Star-Lord itself orbited a red sun in a fairly circular orbit. The plant-like organisms on this planet were mostly bushes, shrubs and flowers, with a good amount of fungi and grasses but very few tree species. The shrubs were the dominant organism on this planet as they grow fast and wide, with many different shapes, sizes and colors.

Reproduction was usually done by either using seeds to grow new organisms, pollination or by simply growing into multiples while either being connected to the parents or disconnecting after being fully grown. Most species on this planet followed these methods as well, except for a few. Instead of taking a risk of wasting energy on seeds or growing into multiples of itself or instead of risking not being pollinated, these species had become specialized in taking over others. They grew onto other species, injected their roots into them and used their nutrients to either produce seeds or to modify the host into the hosted.

The underwater world of this planet was truly a feast for the eyes. Thousands of different soft and hard coral species covered the ocean floors, most of which had a form of bioluminescence, which made the night even more magical than the day. These bioluminescent corals offered homes to plenty of creatures, which needed to be cleaned, while at the same time trying to attract the very same creatures with their lights so they can eat them. A truly remarkable balance.

Evil alien species who wished to destroy the universe were a common theme in sci-fi movies. However, it turned out it was not that far from reality. The species on this planet were what one would consider truly evil. Their superior technology had been the end of many species, both on their own planet and others. Having virtually destroyed most life on their own planet, these hostile creatures now searched the universe for resources they could use on their home planet. No other species had the capabilities to stand in their way, yet.

Epsilon’s ‘dream’ showed him a planet of some kind. At this time, a voice or something similar spoke to him in his mind.

“The Star-Lord Planet —  this is the planet you will need to go to in the future.”

These words did not come from some sort of a voice or another being. Instead, this was Epsilon’s message to himself. However, the sound was different and Epsilon believed that the planet was most likely the one that would change many things that he did not expect in his life.

Epsilon took a deep breath and started talking as he looked at Sparia.

“There is no need for thanking me because I believe we will work together in the future. Just accept this land as payment and owe me a favor.”

After hearing Epsilon’s words, Sparia seemed to agree with the suggestion. It was better to owe him than accept anything he gave freely.
