At first, Nick did not quite register what he heard.
Humanity Statue, he wondered to himself.
While Nick was still wrapping his mind around this newfound information, Aglior had an impulsive thought. The Night Eagle Chief was a curious creature by nature. At this time, he had the urge to look at these things with his own eyes. He immediately prepared a team of the Night Eagles and they all set out to see the Humanity Statue and the Blue Dwarf Race that he was talking to Epsilon earlier about.
On arriving at their first destination, they were faced with a simple statue. It showed a lone creature that had two arms and legs similar to monkeys. Unlike monkeys, it did not have body hair all over it.
The creature looked like its intellect was not weaker by the standards of animals. Even in the statue, its eyes exuded knowledge and power. Most of the creatures who saw the Humanity Statue thought that if this statue was of a race member, the race must be proficient in magical studies and knowledge. But with a weak physique.
They were not wrong in this basic assessment. Humans were really weak when compared to many animals, creatures and monsters on physical parameters. But their intellect made up for it in some ways.
Even on Earth, the reason humanity was the top predator was due to its intelligence. However, when magic entered the algorithm, many things changed. With the power of magical energy, humans were capable of changing their bodies and reinforcing physical qualities.
This was not hard to understand.
Aglior was looking at the strange statue with more interest and attention. Suddenly, his heart rate accelerated like he just discovered something. Aglior started noticing the similarity between the Humanity Statue and the being named Epsilon in front of him.
As if a light bulb went on in his head, he asked.
“Epsilon, by any chance, are you a Humanity?”
Nick realized there was no way for him to deny this. Any form of denial or cover-up would only make him unworthy of trust from the other races.
He sighed deeply and answered.
“Humanity is the name of the race but the members are called Humans. Yes, I am human; I belong to the Humanity Race.”
Aglior was satisfied with Epsilon’s answer. He appreciated Epsilon’s sincerity despite being surrounded by creatures of other races. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment before addressing his tribe members.
“Roast some good meat and prepare some good drinks today. We will have a party. A human from the statue of Humanity has come to visit our tribe.”
Aglior’s sentiment resonated with his tribe and everyone was immediately happy and charged up. The Night Eagles busied themselves preparing food and other festivities. Many of them had a different understanding of what ‘human’ represented. But in the end, a living legend from another continent, that even has its own statue, had come to their tribe. This was worth celebrating.
Nick smiled helplessly and went along with the arrangements. It was weird for a race to cheer when they saw a human. Nick himself, despite being human, despised his race and its ways of living. Coming across a completely different race that was celebrating just because he was a human being, was a very strange encounter for Nick.
He did not mind it. In the end, he knew that even humans had good people among them. He also of course had enough self-awareness that he was not among this circle of good humans.

The fire was lit up and a creature that Nick could not identify was being cooked. The creature was huge. Its weight should be around 2000 KG or more. From the sheer size, it would be enough for the tribe. As the fire roasted the creature, Nick and the Chieftain Aglior made themselves comfortable around the fireplace and chatted.
“Please tell me about your abilities. I wonder what kind of abilities humans in general have.”
Nick understood Aglior’s curiosity and answered.
“Humans are all different and individual. There is very little that can qualify as racial abilities that go beyond the basic survival skills. Because of this, humans largely develop their own abilities that have some kind of synergy between their characters and what they want.”
Aglior listened and then asked.
“You mean humans are very individualistic by nature. They are not strong but capable when it comes to magic and similar matters. They are not hive-minded. Instead, each of them tends to be more focused on their own needs, most of the time.”
Nick was shocked by Aglior’s summary. He did not understand how the Chieftain could understand so much from the minimalistic information he had just given. It seemed that Nick had to change how he viewed these creatures.
Nick took a deep breath and continued the conversation.
“Yes, magic is manipulative and most humans choose to use it as they deem fit. Some of them just create their own abilities for different reasons. Sometimes, they do not like the abilities created by other humans. Or, it is also possible that it may not be the best fit for them.”
Aglior was enjoying this conversation, and his curiosity took over once again.
“Will you show me any one of your abilities?”
Nick smiled, and within a second, a blue portal manifested beside Aglior, which then covered Nick and he was teleported right next to Aglior.
There was a three-meter distance between them earlier, but now he was close to him.
Aglior was shocked.
“Wow! So, you can move instantly between two places?”
Nick nodded and smiled as he looked at the meat being cooked. He was famished since he did not eat much earlier. He was looking forward to tasting a different kind of meat now.
Aglior laughed a little and then spoke.
“I understand now why you are not scared of meeting with other races. You know in your mind that if things go wrong, you can just vanish without having to fight against your enemies?”
Nick did not shy away from agreeing to this.
“Your words are not wrong Chief Aglior. I am indeed not scared of anything. I have several abilities powerful enough to not be scared of any tribe, even if all of you attacked me at once.”
The wise Night Eagle Chief did not doubt Nick. If these words came from a strange being that he did not know of, he would have thought that the creature was just arrogant. But coming from a member who had a statue of their race on the island, it was only expected that they possessed mind-defying power.
