On a mountain peak of a stony island, Nick stood up and smiled. Right now, he still needed to keep moving so he had no time to waste his powers discovering the uses of Fantasia. There will be time for that too
But for the time being it is best that he keep going on.
Nick took to the sky but as he flew away, he noticed a creature at the distance. Nick had barely spotted it before the system, which was normally silent, started ringing an alert.
“Warning”
“User should not try to enter a battle with the being.”
Nick did not understand. The flying being was in the shape of a human and it had one big green eye. Other than this, it was a human figure made of black smoke and cloud.
“I should check his status.”
Nick did not waste any time and checked the strange entity’s status.
‘Black Cloud Manifestation of Fear’
‘Level – ???’
‘Description’
‘A black cloud energy that is filled with a manifestation of the ‘fear’ emotion.’
‘Abilities’
‘????’
‘????’
‘????’
‘????’
‘????’
Nick gulped in horror and immediately tried to teleport away. However, he noticed that his Portal Teleportation did not work at all. And before he knew it, the black cloud human figure reached closer to him and started talking.
“You should not leave me alone. Didn’t you just come by, what’s the rush?”
The sound of the voice was disturbing to say the very least and filled Nick’s heart with ‘fear’. Logically there was nothing surprising about this to Nick. After all, this creature was called the manifestation of ‘fear’ itself. Just by its name, this was ‘fear’ with intelligence and a visible form.
Of course, Nick would feel fear from this creature.
Nick tried to teleport away again. The black figure shook its black cloud hands and whispered.
“Dimensional Lock – Level 1”
With the words of the black figure, a wave of blue energy spread around and hit Nick’s body and kept going further towards the horizon before vanishing. As the wave energy vanished, Nick did not know what to say or think at all.
He saw a system notification at this time.
“Dimension is locked. Space, teleportation and dimension-abilities cannot be used.”
“For User to break down the lock, User has to be stronger than the one who cast the spell.”
“Which User is not.”
Nick looked at the system notification and did not know whether to laugh or cry. He realized that this time he had landed, or rather flown, himself into big trouble. While Nick’s mental struggle was on, the figure started talking again.
“I am wondering why a human such as you is venturing in the ‘Stone and Forest Dimension – 5610’ without the power to protect yourself.”
Nick heard the creature and was frantically thinking for an answer. He thought hard and pushed his mind to the fullest. But it was no use. These words did not give him any meaning but he did learn one thing — he learned the real name of this space. At least, he now knew where was.
Even if Nick was trying to console himself, the black figure did not really give him a chance and struck another mental blow.
“Anyway, you are here when you should not be here. So, to make an example to other weaklings like you, I should just destroy you.”
Nick did not for even a moment think that the black figure was jesting. He did not hesitate anymore and used the pen that the Void Hunter Rat, Ravia, had given to him.
“I summon Void Hunter Rat.”
As Nick’s words echoed, and a black-void sphere manifested in the sky. Everything was trembling with force and power and a few seconds later, a familiar creature stepped out from the black-void sphere and come to his side. The creature was none other than the Void Hunter Rat, Ravia.
“Epsilon, I did not think you would call me this quick. And from what I can see, you have gotten yourself into a big mess.”
Ravia was different from the last time. He was holding a cane with a purple stone on its tip, wearing simple black robes. Right now, he was flying right beside Nick.
The Void Hunter Rat looked at the black figure and started talking.
“Hi, Manifestation of Fear. What problem do you have with my friend here?”
The black figure did not answer for five seconds and then laughed a little before answering.
“I did not expect to see a Void Rat here. Why are you protecting this primate anyway?”
The Void Hunter Rat shook its hands and smiled. He waved its cane and whispered.
“Open Dimension.”
With the Void Hunter Rat’s whisper, a sound of glass breaking resonated in Nick’s head and he saw the notification from the system.
“Dimensional Lock is broken. User is capable of using his spells and teleportation abilities now.”
Nick commented in his mind.
“This is incredible; I could find no way to break it but for Void Hunter Rat, it just needed a shake of his cane and that was it.”
The Void Hunter Rat then started speaking.
“This primate has a name; his name is Epsilon and he helped me out so I am helping him out. I believe you know the difference of power between you the Manifestation of Fear and us. It is best if we do not enter a battle. In return, the only thing I want is for you to not touch this human or his friends.”
The Manifestation of Fear thought a little and did not say anything as it vanished towards the horizon. As it disappeared, the Void Hunter Rat snorted and looked at Nick with a funny expression.
“Why would you be here in this Stone and Forest Dimension Realities? These places may seem approachable at first but there are many beings in such places that could even kill and destroy me with one finger.”
Nick was embarrassed. He touched his head and answered truthfully. He told the Void Hunter Rat how he, along with a group of Werfurs, entered the Underbroom Cave and how he found himself in this place. He also told him everything about what he had researched and discovered so far.
Ravia listened and then started talking, sounding slightly helpless.
