It wouldn’t take Eel Jr too long to reach the clash of the two titans.
Both of the pair clearly had seen better days as the {Giant Green Lizard} had one of it’s eyes gouged out and constant bleeding from the scales that were pulled up from it’s back but it still stood sturdy as it glared as it’s opponent.
The {Wyvern} wasn’t in much better shape as it has an obvious bite mark seeping deeply into one of its talons – though it wasn’t only its blood on said talon as it had a rather obvious eye just a few inches away from it. You could practically see the smug look on it’s scaled face.
But, it’s advantage that made it so legendary among the sub-dragons was waning. For every flap of it’s right wing the left one (with a clear hole burned in) has to do two more just to keep it somewhat leveled; crippling it’s ability to fight in the sky and dive bomb it’s enemies like a bird of prey to a large margin.
A margin that was getting wider as time went on due to exhaustion it felt.
“Huh… They mustn’t have regeneration due to being only sub-dragons. I should look more into the other types of sub-dragons.” <Eel Jr>
Eel Jr was always under the impression that dragons; since dragons had great vitality; they had great regeneration. While it was somewhat true as they can ‘recover’ from a lot, calling it regeneration wasn’t that accurate… But there was one type of dragon that made a name for herself by being unkillable.
Of course, there was also the Hydra that came in many colours (thus elements) who only grew stronger and smarter… But that came from the progenitor of succubus sleeping around and passing on a certain skill that evolved as time went on…
Eel looked around the forest floor for a while – although they were wounded she couldn’t give away the advantage of a hairless monkey just yet.
After a bit of foraging she managed to get a somewhat ‘shaft’ and placed her knife’s blade at the end of it to make a rudimentary spear. Though due to the type of blade at the end maybe a sword spear would be more accurate?
Weighing it in her hand she frowned a bit, rotating it between her hands and changing into the various stances she’s learned through Alicia the frown only grew into a bigger pout.
“Although it’s just a stick it’s far too light to use for me…” <Eel Jr>
She attempted to look around for anything to fix this when her eyes fell onto a sword that seemed to be a recent addition to the forest floor.
It seemed to be a basic steel sword though the shape was hardly basic – not many would know the name of the sword since it was a strange blade that was only somewhat known due to a certain big name dragon slayer who was almost lost to history if not for a few fanatics like her remembering his legendary feats. Feats that made this world what it was today…
A Shamshir.
Perhaps the person who left it behind was also just like her? Though, the fact it was left behind likely meant that said person ended up in an unfavourable position.
“Huh… I’ve never used a sword before but I suppose with a spear this light I cannot use it alone – more the merrier~!” <Eel Jr>
Only reason she recognised the blade was due to it’s somewhat unique ‘bend’ about half-way down the blade that made half the blade straight and half having a very eccentric curve. This in turn leads to it having a deceptive length and nice ability to catch people off guard.
However, upon closer inspection there was something ‘off’ about this blade. Specifically below the blade.
The guard was a circular plate that didn’t extend too much from the blade making it only somewhat useful for catching – in other words just like that of the ‘katana family’ of swords – in fact the grip held the same pattern and was wrapped in a white cord.
Sure, it was a famous style of blade due to being from {The True God} but to have it on a dragon slayer blade seems a bit… Unusual.
Obviously, Eel Jr wasn’t the only one confused about the blade but the other two stood behind her were also confused!
Who styled a dragon slayer sword after a dragon’s sword!
Nonetheless, she reached out with her right hand (left holding her spear as always), when she felt a sharp sweep across her palm. This blood dripped onto the wrap and dyed it crimson as the blade slowly but surely began to glow a blood red.
The white cord quickly became dyed and Eel Jr felt a rush of pain pass through her head – for the first time in forever she felt her grip loosen and drop a spear.
The two sub-dragons noticed the sound but this didn’t stop her as she firmly gripped the blade – seemingly on instinct as her eyes gained a red rim around the outside as the golden formed her lizard pupils on the faded purple iris.
A mysterious voice entered her ears as she felt more thirsty for the hunt than ever before. Likely more than any dragon before.
“There is fresh meat over there – why haven’t you cut it down?” <?????>
The voice was calm but it exhumed confidence beyond any noble she’d ever heard. Not only that, but it was sharp. So sharp her eardrums bleed just from hearing it adding to her pain – but this pain fled as she looked up to the 7 moons high above the sky and felt a surge rush through her.
Her blood burned her but it only made her feel stronger – but all was overshadowed by one thing.
The hunt!

The system continued to give her updates on people far above her head playing cat and mouse with her life but then something happened which took away her attention from herself – even the monsters in front of her trembled with great fear.
A wave of power washed over the entire area but it wasn’t due to her but something that came from the city behind her causing her to fall to her knees and look over her shoulder with a cold sweat covering her body.
The entire would become more vibrant but it also trembled with great fear as a few words brought great fear to a whole nation appeared in their system.
<| The [True God] Is GREATLY Displeased With [The Orrid Empire] |>
The robotic voice seemed to also be trembling with the idea of her wrath – soon the feeling faded as did the vibrancy and some may even think it was a moment of delusion. No doubt many had done so… But her bones told her it was real
<No time to consider all this information – I have something more important to do that worry about what I can’t control.>
With this rush of information and a feeling she never felt before she stared at the two Sub-Dragons who glared at her as if coming to a decision to seek revenge first trying to stop their trembling bodies. A ferocious grin appeared on her smile as she stared at them as her fangs began to form giving her a frightening look – quickly overcoming the feeling that previously suppressed her.
In fact, two front fangs looked even more predominant than before as scales that looked more like plates formed over her hands as blood red claws appeared on her fingertips as they were covered in these ‘plates’ of scale. These plates are perfectly aligned to fully guard but not restrict movement.
The same happened to her feet as she felt the soil sink below her as her weight increased despite her only feeling lighter.
A spear-like tail grew from her behind before being joined by 9 more.
They were more slender but only felt denser than previous as the ten spear-like tails with carefully aligned plates danced behind her as they slowly spread out as if waiting for the command to tear flesh from bone.
She brought her newly gained sword on her right shoulder – somehow it felt natural as if it had always meant to be there – as she leaned her weight into her spear as it pointed forward towards her target. As if goading the lizards in front of her to try to stop her.
A fierce aura added to their impression as a purplish crimson slowly formed what could only be called a beast lying in wait to ambush it’s prey. Ready to pounce at a moment’s notice.
It looked impressive even with it’s blurry figure but those purple iris’ with red outline and golden draconic pupil showed off what this figure represented – Eel Jr never noticed however as she was far too into feeling this new power flow through and rebuild her entire body.
In her ears she could hear the creaking and snapping of her own bones and by the time she got used to the boiling blood in front of her she shot off the ground leaving an explosion of mud.
Her target was the remaining left eye of the {Giant Green Lizard} – likely only remaining thanks to Eel damaging the {Wyvern} earlier – and her reason for this was the voice in her head guiding her in her battle.
“When you enter a battle you should always seek to do one of two things – prepare your enemy for a final blow or to give them a final blow. Never enter a fight without a plan – study what they can do and their reactions. For a dragon and their descendants they often prefer to face you in a headone battle – take advantage of that with a feint, wait for the opening, then strike!” <??????>
And, finding no issues, she followed the instructions. Thrusting forward the {Giant Green Lizard} went to swipe towards her – planning to once again make her into it’s rag doll with confidence – the {Wyvern} not even taking her seriously as it instead landed and focused on recovering its energy with its higher intellect.
Before the claw could catch her, she pulled herself back to throw off her speed – causing her to skid on the ground and jump backwards to fully stop herself – letting a claw pass just in front of her as she brought her sword down.
Her blade glowed with purple + crimson light as she brought it down – a crescent energy came out to launch forth into the dragon’s eye and then down into its forearm.
Blood gushed out but she lifted her temporary spear in order to gather it into a ball above her head – taking in the damage she achieved. This damage being a now sliced eye and a gash across it’s arm where blood was constantly streaming; only increased tanks to the influence of her magic.
Of course, in her ear she heard constant criticism about how s*** that move was.
“I’ve seen better posture from a one legged fire-chicken, are you trying to cut through it or trying to give it a haircut? Mortals have better sword intent control than that s***, a f****** joke, quickly back up before you have your fat ass sent flying like a kite again!” <?????>
<Ah~♥ That sexy voice criticizing me makes me feel hot inside~♥>
Nonetheless, it hardly affected her motivation to say the least.
As she quickly backed away to get both of the sub-dragons within her vision – to prevent any nasty surprises – a talon flying past her only to collide with the now blind {Giant Green Lizard} to get another powerful roar of pain as the {Wyvern} didn’t seem to mind missing her as it used it’s other tallon to slide through the face of the lizard.
“You waiting for it to get some biscuits out and invite you in?” <?????>
Taking the ‘hint’ she thrust forward her ‘spear’ as the blood formed into a beam that was filled with that strange crimson & purple energy the voice called ‘sword intent’.
“Remember to aim a bit better than you did last time you used a spear – also if you shove that sword up a creature’s ass I’ll shove mine up yours.” <?????>
“That only makes me want to do it more!” <Eel Jr>
“… I swear that the name ‘Elizabeth’ is cursed to belong to weirdo’s…” <?????>
With that battle cry she aimed at the right wing of the {Wyvern} but this time she didn’t aim for the membrane of the wing but instead the tendons at the base in order to ground it for good.
<Once it’s grounded for good it’ll lose it’s advantage!>
Thrusting forth the ‘sword intent’ along with the blood enhancement helped extend the range of her spear as she easily punctured through the wing causing the {Wyvern} to let out a roar that was filled with a mixture of shock and pain. Although Eel Jr had managed to pierce through its spears before it was a very obvious wind up. It only allowed her to hit it due to it underestimating her… Though, it of course did this again but in another form.
This wound resulted in it attempting to compensate with it’s left wing only to find itself rotating – automatically then trying to compensate with it’s right only to let out another roar of pain as it landed with it’s back onto the {Giant Green Lizard} who charged forward to headbutt the disoriented {Wyvern}.
The flying sub-dragon was sent forward once more like an awkwardly scaley volleyball that was constantly roaring about something or another.
And Eel was more than ready to receive as it found itself rotating forward thanks to its angular momentum after being headbutted by an angry lizard. Right when it’s eyes met with Eel’s she gave it a grin before jumping back while swinging her blade with her body – bringing it to her side to make another crescent beam outwards towards it.
It attempted to escape by flapping its wings but only it’s left could manage enough power – pain surging from the only worsening wound on it’s right – as it managed to rotate to have the beam scar right through it’s right eye and across it’s nose and down to the jaw.
Whipping the spear out to seemingly fish the blood towards itself as this time she would give it a grin while drinking it’s fresh blood right in front of it.
It’s right wing was already unusable due to it landing on it – worsening the already rather debilitating wound and not doing much to help it. Grinding it’s fangs as it glared at her with it’s left eye – a growl came out that could make a man shudder with the powerful hate & rage.
“You want me to get you a crutch~♥” <Eel Jr>
Of course, she didn’t pity the beast. The hunt was all about this after all – she knew she couldn’t kill either beast in a single blow so she had to take away their advantages slash by slash. Through this method a man could slay a giant and a little dragon can slay a bigger sub-dragon.
Of course, without the added effect of her new bloodline this would be far more difficult.
She looked quite pleased with herself before the {Giant Green Lizard} barged through the {Wyvern} – sending it flying off to the side with a slap of it’s claw as it gave a powerful roar while diving at her.
She didn’t expect it to be as quick as it was but soon noticed a red aura enhancing it’s muscles.
“It’s got berserk, tch!” <Eel Jr>
This was an ability she actively avoided – giving up all thought to just rely purely on instinct that in turn is driven by rage. Quite common in the prideful so many dragons and sub-dragons have such though they didn’t think much in the first place; they were naturally strong after all.
<Maybe I would’ve been the same if->
“Don’t let your mind wander during a fight!” <?????>
That voice brought her out her thoughts – she was already dodging backwards towards the wound on the right side of it’s face from the {Wyvern}. However, she noticed it also threw out it’s right claw in an attempt to send her towards the already suffering {Wyvern}.
Gritting her teeth, her mind would run in circles as she considered what she could do.
“A weapon isn’t limited to cutting!” <?????>
With that a lightbulb popped into her head as she thrust her spear’s butt into the ground with her [Momentum Manipulation] in order to use that force to push herself up before dropping the spear.
She had two weapons now, as sad as it was, it’s not like she had any attachment or much use out of the barely functioning spear.
Soon the claw came and snapped yet another of her spears in half as she would tuck her tails and other limbs inwards to rotate her body forwards before untucking and using her claws to grip into the scales of the {Giant Green Lizard}.
If she didn’t do much, her tiny claws digging it was akin to a mosquito bite while your eyes were crippled and wrist cut.
You would find it difficult to notice anything wrong.
The {Giant Green Lizard} gazed around as if trying to see where she was but with only one heavily damaged eye and fueled with rage from berserk all it could see was crimson. This in turn only made it more angry as it let out a big roar and threw its weight upwards – making it stand on its hind legs.
“It’s approaching – you’ve fought quite a bit, you should feel it. End this.” <?????>
She agreed.
Using this moment – Eel let her grip release as she swung her tails to the right. This left her to be flung towards the sky with her tails to allow her to spin mid air so she was properly aligned herself with her target.
Soon the Lizard slammed it’s body into the ground creating a great explosion of force; as can be expected stone shrapnel and mud flew everywhere but with her handy green scaly shield she wouldn’t have to worry. She felt a bit like they were bullying the ‘superior {Wyvern}’ a bit though.
Soon a sheath formed out of blood in her left hand and she held it to her hip while looking down at the beast’s neck.
“The scaleless bitch is a bitch but she’s good with a sword. Free your mind of all distractions and focus on one moment. Sight is a distraction but so is thought. The moment of finality that exists for a mere second but a second is more than enough. Sheath your power and wait, wait, wait some more… Then unleash it all at once in a strike that transcends the heavens!” <?????>
It wasn’t as simple as that but he knew this was all her descendant needed to know to make use of her most famous move.
A draw that decides victory & defeat, life & death and new & primordial.
Sliding her sword into the sheath and following all instructions; closing her eyes.
She abandoned everything, nothing was needed but a chance.
She waited in silence as she felt the wind blowing past her body as she reached the apex of her height. Then she felt it, like everything aligned.
She almost felt someone behind her – someone with really large breasts – and wrapped her own hands around her to grip onto her hands. She drew the blade out ever so slightly – the silver blade shimmering with power that would guide anyones eyes. As she came to feel weightless due to her momentum in the air reaching she felt the hands urging her.
Guiding her to draw.
To decide the life & death of the creatures below her.
Opening her eyes she drew her blade with more speed she knew she had and before she could fully comprehend what she just achieved her guard met the rim of the sheath. A beautiful *shick* played out.
Silence filled the air as the {Giant Green Dragon} glared at her, about to turn around while giving out a powerful roar.
But that was the last noise it made.
Halfway through the roar it’s neck spurted blood as it’s head fell to the ground with a *THUD* and it’s body collapsed.
Excitement filled her – although it was wounded she managed to kill one of those green bastards!
It was hard not to be excited at killing a sub-dragon even if it was a lower ranked one!
But before she could be too happy her vision went black as she felt her entire body burn up in a seconds as a powerful force enveloped her from behind (aka the sky). A shock filling her caused her to spasm but she still somehow managed to keep hold of her sword.
A loud, thundering roar filled her ears causing them to pop like cherries.
The force from above caused her to be sent flying upon the still warm corpse as all her senses vanished for a few seconds before she began to recover – lucky she had managed to survive at all.
By the time she recovered even a bit from the ringing that filled her ears she heard a beautiful but emotionless voice – if one was to compare it to something it would be like an automated voice. No tonal shift or emotion. But, it was clearly alive from what she could hear.
“As expected from a Daughter – to survive a stand of my {Lightening Tribulation}…I was even worried I may have to face that wyvern as well as scaless without Photon – but it seems you’re not lucky enough for them to learn about your existence, little dragon.” <?>
From this figure she felt nothing but chills all the way down to her bone marrow.
<Is this what a mouse feels when looking up at a cat?>
Cold sweat covered her entire body as she used her remaining strength to push against the floor to lie on her back.
Then she saw it.
A tall blue shaft with a twin guard – bottom longer than the top – and a large blade the size of a short sword. In other words, a twin cross-guard Sword Spear, another weapon (just like the Shamshir) she would never forget as long as she lived.
As if to tell her, her thoughts were correct two immaterial banners of energy fell from the bottom, wider, cross-guard.
It was in the hands of a creature covered in a set of scales that made up what could only be called plated armour. On its (very obviously female) chest would be a simplified eye with three spikes above and below while the helm was that of a dragon’s face with blazing blue eyes with purple sparks gushing out. Purple horns on her head formed a proud crown.
A crimson cape with the royal crown of [Indigo Stratos Empire] resting above the double-cross (just like her spear’s cross-guard) of the empire showing the royal heritage of the female knight.
Smoke rose from her body as not an inch of her wasn’t covered in vicious burns, inside and out, as she somehow managed to open her dry bleeding lips to let out a low grunt.
“The [Dragon-Slaying Spear to the True Heroes Shield]… S-” <Eel>
Her weak voice cut off as that cold, emotionless voice called out. Eel unable to reply in any way but subservience to these beings will.
“Silence.” <Dragon-Slaying Spear>
And so, the world became silent.
