Chapter 33: Confusing Feelings… In The Worst Way

The two new figures just spent a while looking at each other while pointing but it appeared someone else wasn’t too interested in continuing their comedy routine. As would be expected of a Sovereign in all fairness – she casually pulled her spear back with one hand before quickly thrusting it forward – after images caused the single thrust to instead become three spears infused with that same lightning.

“Triple Thrust… Huh~?” <To~tally Not Jeeves>

“She is quite the tetchy one is she not?” <Thing 2>

Walking forward fearlessly – even with that massive ‘sword’ that got repelled by the thrust of ‘Thing 2’ the twin-coloured man used a bloodied sash that was haphazardly wrapped around then nailed to the handle of the weapon. Throwing the left arm he had wrapped in the sash to the right to make the blade sweep the battlefield.

The mere presence of the thing caused the air to feel heavier as it forced everything in its path out the way as – it seemed it was going to attempt to challenge the decree of death the Sovereign put forth but Eel didn’t have time to notice.

Of course, one was because she was initially facing away from the Sovereign but that wasn’t the case now.

As soon as they stopped paying attention to it, the puppet-like Imp wrapped it’s arm around her waist – turned around and f****** gunned it with her.

“W-wai-!” <Eel>

“I do not wish to alarm you but it’s this or staying with those two – I do not know about you but I believe a familiar dissidence should remain as that!” <Thing 2>

“I don’t think that has anything to do with family!” <Eel>

As she said that she pointed to the two legendary figures who contended against each other – it wasn’t too surprising that Jeeves could match up to her. However, there was no doubt that she wasn’t falling behind him.

Both didn’t seem to be going all out but it was no doubt they had no qualms about going for the kill as the armoured figure thrust their spear out towards Jeeves’ head only for him to casually tilt his head to let it pass over his shoulder – however he wasn’t out of danger yet as the figure followed up with the flat of their boot. Attempting to slap it into his gut with enough power to puncture through adamantite!

Regardless, he merely caught it with his upturned right palm while bringing the massive blade back into his palm with a tug – swinging it to catch the armour’s side while jumping backwards.

Of course, the armour didn’t just accept the blow and instead kept on the pressure. Hopping upwards before actually landing on the flat face of the blade but before any follow up could be made Jeeves brought his other hand to catch the swinging handle to forcibly stop the momentum before slamming it into the ground with a earthy explosion.

The {Sovereign of Storms} merely jumping backwards before vanishing only to have the Imp barely able to jump forward – out of the way of  an armoured knee aiming to burst the imps kidney from the looks of it. If the Imp didn’t dive into a roll it was likely their head would have also been removed by the sword-spear that followed afterwards.

It seemed like they were running away from the pair… The distance was not increasing too well – in fact the Imp seemed to be struggling so she couldn’t help but to look up and wonder just who ‘he’ was.

“Don’t look at me like that – it’s hard to cultivate one’s body when they have no body to rely on! That is also the reason Jeeves likely has been hanging around you but I did not expect him to make a move so quickly… Nothing goes well when those two are within spitting distance!” <Thing 2>

The middle bit was mumbled like someone complaining about something trivial – making it’s words seem like one large joke… But despite its lighthearted words she felt some concern as if this little imp knew more than they were letting on.

Though, before she could question it’s intentions, she found herself thrown to the side.

Her impact softened as she landed on a brush that was on the side – leading to her fall being surprisingly soft all things considered but she still didn’t enjoy being thrown around like a sack of potatoes.

Before she could complain she saw that where they were once running was a trail of smoke and a burnt floor – based on the sparks still dispersing it wasn’t hard to guess who’s attack it was.

Afterall, it’s not like they tried to hide it as they were still in a thrusting position.

<I don’t want to know what she could do with two hands… Heh, actually I kinda do~♥>

Taking in the scene from her front row seat she saw that the Imp gave her a friendly wave opposite to her current position while somehow Jeeves now was opposite the {Sovereign of Storms} with her and the Imp being between the two.

Surprisingly, the first to speak was the solemn {Sovereign of Storms} who gazed at the weapon the Imp held in it’s gloved hands.

“You must be the one who’s appeared in the last decade – I believe your fellow demons refer to you as {Sticky Fingers} after you stole a holy sword from {Sword God Emperor}’s collection… I’d be right in assuming that’s the very blade your using, almost as if it was born for you to use it is it not?” <Sovereign of Storms>

“Although I wish to say I’m honoured to be ablesay your majesty knows me I do wish to make it transparent that my name is in fact Zandman! You know it, like the song people made for me, erhm! ‘Mr. Zandman, bring me a dream~♪ Make him the cutest that I’ve ever se-~♪’.” <’Sticky Fingers’>

“Enough of your prattle. As for you Jeeves, how are you here?” <Sovereign of Storms>

“Quite simple really; I walked~!” <Jeeves>

Almost as if responding to him the sky shouted out and greeted him with a bolt of purple lightning – but in response he threw that heavy blade up into the air before gripping the bloodied sash. Swinging it over his head leading to the bolt not being able to do anything.

His next actions caused the air to grow colder – though as if predicting it – the Imp made use this moment to once again move in front of her but he didn’t shield her sight.

“See, I never have liked the name Alice!” <Jeeves>

But instead of making another joke his mouth tugged up and his eyes widened – pupils shrinking as before anyone realized he held something up. No, it was more like his hand was shoved into the mouth (from the neck) of a familiar face – tears still trailing down from her still open eyes.

A familiar maid that Eel remembered quite well – a girl this ‘Navy’ once called Alice.

As if not making enough of a mockery his grin only grew bigger as he began to spread and close the fingers to make her open her mouth as a voice came out very similar to the one Eel remembered.

“Greetings – I have the name of an annoying bitch and only knew how to complain! I serve my madame, madame this madame that! SEBASTIAN DON’T LEAVE ME, HELP OH GOD OH GOD NO!” <’Alice’>

“Jehehe~, such a quirky girl that one is~! Oops, I should say it was, we did have a gay old time but unfortunately Sebastian had to leave and tell Munzumira all about our Tryst~!” <Jeeves>

Although she wasn’t affected by the scene – Eel couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of confusion as Jeeves blade only spun around faster and faster. Black winds formed from his action while a vicious blood red aura was exhumed from his body. Within the bloody ‘mist’ were the pained and agonizing faces of countless different people – each unique in their own ways but some weren’t even human. She saw elfs, dragons, apes, humans – if you could find it in this realm of theirs she could see them represented in this aura.

It almost felt like it was the representation of a war against this very realm itself with only Jeeves as it’s warrior.

“Navy you bastard…” <Sovereign of Storms>

The {Sovereign of Storms}’ voice only grew colder as she placed her other hand on the spear she held in her hands – it was a simple thrust but the sound of crackling followed behind it as it shot forth far faster than any arrow she’d seen.

Jeeves just casually threw that severed head forward causing the Sovereign to pull back their spear only for that blood red aura to shoot forth – like spiked tendrils they weaved their way around their hostage to aim to pierce through the armoured Sovereign.

Of course, it was hardly their first time fighting so such a simple tactic couldn’t catch her off guard.

Still, the black winds grew so sharp they began to shoot out of the cyclone made from the hefty spinning blade.

As for that shocking aura? It was no doubt a form of bloodlust but how many people had he killed to have one so dense that it could do this? Even if someone could have a similarly powerful aura she highly doubted it would be as sickening to her – remembering to the fateful day she ran into him she always felt confused.

She’s always respected strength – it was in her blood – even when faced with death she respected her opponent… So why did she feel nothing but fear, a somewhat foreign feeling, when she thought of that man turning on her?

Now she had an idea but she was still confused…

“Why?” <Eel>

Her voice wasn’t confused – she wasn’t a human child who would be scarred and begin shaking at such an event but regardless she couldn’t understand.

Of course, she caught attention as everyone but the Imp turned to her but before anyone could it was the Imp who replied. Somehow understanding what she meant before she fully did. Though, it seemed this action quickly caught ire from miss ‘Heavens Judgement’ as one could imagine the ugly scowl on her face at the current situation.

“He is a creature beyond anyone else’s comprehension other than perhaps my own and; due to sheer brute force approach; Munzumira. To put it simply though he has no allies, only hatred for every living thing that walks in the {Mortal Realm}. Though this may not extent to hatred to the {Demon Realm} or {Heavenly Realm} he’s spent so long being twisted by an unbearable force pushed upon him by the {Heavenly Realm}- right on queue…” <Zandman>

Although the imp still had the same manner of speech it’s voice was filled with nothing but endless… Pity?

<Why? He speaks like Jeeves is nothing but a monster but then pitties him when even his own sister wants nothing more than to kill him… I- I don’t understand!>

Even though better than most – she couldn’t help but begin to fall into the age old habit of a dragon who cannot understand something and not getting straight answers. Anger…

Of course, she couldn’t do anything but the Imp certainly could.

“Stop – you’ve shared secrets forbidden since-”

“I’m afraid breaking the rules is what a demon is good at, your majesty! This is going to hurt a bit I’m afraid little Hero.” <Zandman

This shout caught everyone off guard but the action of suddenly grabbing Eel by the scruff of her neck caused everyone more shock, it  barely dodged a familiar spear causing a gash to be left on the left cheek of it’s mask.

“Aim for his wrist Little One!” <Zandman>>

As it shouted this into the empty air Eel suddenly felt a strange feeling filling her entire being – like someone grabbed her in her entirety and dragged her backwards through burning syrup but without her body moving.

She felt her wounds worsening and a great amount of pain before that and the wounds vanished. The same occurred with the rest of the wounds on her body before she was in the same condition as when she’d just slayed the {Giant Green Lizard}.

Before she or anyone else could react to this it said in it’s usual cheerful tone.

“Well – wish me luck!” <Zandman>

Suddenly swinging it’s arm up with all it’s power before a sudden golden light filled her view even though it’s source was clearly behind her – the fact it was behind her caused her to have an ill feeling in her gut.

In fact, she even saw the Sovereign retreat only to feel an impact all the way across her small body – propelling her into the air.

<I never imagined my first time flying would be like this!!!>

She would yell out angrily but it proved far harder to do with her limbs forcibly dragged behind her and eyes wide open due to the air pressure.

Behind her all she heard was a weary ‘neigh’ that contained an unnerving amount of power and a sudden BANG followed by a flash of lightning. Of course, she had no clue what was happening behind her as she was too concerned as she had a bad feeling she was heading straight towards the outer wall of Shanta!
