Now that they had arrived at the village the shadow guard mostly jumped off to the side – vanishing into the shadows (hence their name). The only people of Violet’s guard that remained were Ashue & Slate who had pretty much dropped her tortoise friend as soon as they arrived at the torii gate at the front of the village.
“Ah~ you really are mean to me, Slate. Then again I guess it’s to be expected since you always like to treat me ro-” <Ashue>
“Stop!” <Slate>
“You really should learn to express your emotions in a healthier-” <Ashue>
“Shut up – I just want to go ahead and eat some cultivator sausages!” <Slate>
“Lewd~ I can’t let you forsake your promise to Ojou-sama… Well I suppose it was more ‘you love any man I kill’ rather than a promise from us.” <Ashue>
“… Don’t impersonate her like that… It’s creepily accurate considering you’re so dumb.” <Slate>
“H-how am I dumb, I’m better at maths than you!” <Ashue>
“Which oceanic bloodline other than you managed to nearly drown herself!” <Slate>
“You’re still on with that?! Matriarch Ebony was also struggling and I just wanted to help! ” <Ashue>
At this point both were just forehead to forehead; red cheeks while yelling at each other. Violet didn’t give them a second look though as she was mostly focused on the road ahead of them while still on her mount for the day. There was another person as well – Qin. It’s not that she didn’t attempt to jump away but when she tried putting her Ojou-sama back down Violet used her new martial arts knowledge to give a lightning fast nipple twister.
This caused her to give a yelp which in turn made her two bosses turn around to see the girl adorned in full black. Knowing what was about to happen she shivered softly and let out a sigh. This was either her best or worst day yet.
“What is wrong with you mutt, do you need to visit the male brothel? Even if you don’t like Oni men it’s not like our brothels don’t cater to females like those outside!” <Slate>
“I- That’s not…” <Qin>
“Just leave the girl alone Slate, it’s only natural she’ll be quite worked up holding Ojou-sama for so long. She’s probably just nervous in front of her as well as having to be on high alert. Plus aren’t you the one that says all those men look the same?” <Ashue>
“W-well compare you and Ojou-sama…” <Slate>
“Hohoho~ I am from a bloodline with a long history of ‘beautiful mature bodies’ and Ojou-sama is obviously Ojou-sama so I suppose that’s fair. You are also not a bad looker yourself so your mother really must’ve selected some good genes.” <Ashue>
“T-thanks… Can we just hurry up and eat some cultivators.” <Slate>
“I-I heard they managed to capture quite a few foundation formations but there are rumours that they even caught some Core Formations. Matriarch Ebony may be considering giving you two [Core Formation Bones] since you’ll be bearing Ojou-sama’s children in the future seniors!” <Qin>
“Oh~ I hope so. I love the higher cultivation cuts so I’ll really take anything but if the Matriarch really gifted me with bones… Come, let’s go you slow pokes!” <Slate>
“That does sound quite delicious indeed…” <Ashue>
Slate was easily distracted from the point at the promise of the high-quality marrow which was one of her favourite things to eat when she was travelling out in the world (per tradition). She instantly forgot to bully Qin and instead turned to begin heading down the stone steps into the village. Ashue couldn’t help but lift her hand to hide her mouth as a chuckle left her lips (she was certainly no smarter than Slate) while Qin followed behind with a relieved sigh.
Due to the chaos created by this war the streets were obviously packed as many Oni who were outside came back to support their homes. There were also those who came back after killing some foolish {Mortal Races} similarly to Violet & her shadow guard. If those Oni were particularly social or had built their own harem they also brought their companions as well; those that wished to support the village or make money also put up stalls. These stalls had everything from food to talismans which increased the foot traffic even more.
As they were walking down the busy streets quite a few Oni looked at them with curiosity since they were quite the unique four but anyone who was unlucky enough to get in Slate’s way was met with the flat of her foot. Many large crimson oni were sent flying down the street without idea of what they did wrong – some attempted to make their anger clear to the smaller female…
But other than the elders/executives (as well as Ebony) Slate was without a doubt the strongest person among the Oni.
Even before Violet was born she was recognized as a genius that came once in a century hence why she was even allowed in the same room as their matriarch gave birth. After their all important Ojou-sama was brought into this realm; she was personally trained by some of the greatest fighters in the {Little Hannya Family} thus the {Assura Yakuza} to become the right hand of their Ojou-sama… Or more accurately to be on her right hand? Either way, ever since Violet was born 12 years ago, Slate has been through for more experiences than many of those ten times her age.
These poor males had no idea about any of this and with no elders to stop her she was on a rampage. Everywhere Oni were flying around while the women (being superior in intellect) avoided the main street like it was a more terrifying warzone than that on the border of the forest. Though considering the most impressive people to invade were ‘only Core Formation experts’ perhaps it truly was?
Ashue was no better and despite how dumb she can be at times she was just as vicious when it came to her meal ticket. Not only did she have two powerful bloodlines which were perfectly balanced to give her a sturdy body and great ability when it came to formations – she could be quite viscous with how she made use of her abilities. Drowning people with her formations was a common but easy method with her talents.
Ashue was no Kaiser who could help Violet ‘sort out the details’ in creation of the {S.Y.S.T.E.M} or refinement of {Demon Realm}. But, it didn’t take a Toppler level monster like her or Violet to wipe out the average Oni walking on the street. Not like Ashue was trying to become an artesian like that either; she merely just acted as the qi-support for Slate who dealt with the ‘heavy lifting’.
“[Great Ocean Dragon – Great Wave]~!”
She currently fulfilled that roll by casually lifting her right hand up to send out a wave of water that blew away anyone in the pair’s way. The fact she went even further was a sign that she wasn’t the most competent thinker as the giant wave rendered any stalls, carts or people on the street were sent down the side streets. The water did what it did best as it quickly spread throughout the backstreets and side streets causing even more chaos that Slate could’ve managed causing Slate to pause slightly… But then she realised she couldn’t be blamed for this and food was more important than stopping the idiot from getting her ear torn off by the matriarch.
Little Qin who was following behind couldn’t help but halt her steps with a wide open mouth. Her eyes gazing left and right where she knew some of her brothers & sisters would be only to see them either just like her or clutching their head. These were their bosses afterall. They wouldn’t be blamed for their actions as they couldn’t stop them… But it did remind them all that Slate was actually the reasonable one despite appearances.
This reminder made them hold their heads; Ashue was supposed to represent that non-Oni were just as competent in the Yakuza!
Yet despite her ancestors’ supposed genius here she was going far over the top!
Qin wanted to say something to her Ojou-sama but she felt a little hand move down before harshly pinching her buttox causing her to let out a gasp while jumping forward (chest first). Of course, she couldn’t make the ride for her Ojou-sama unpleasant so she quickly grasped control over her body again. Standing up straight and biting her lip gently while ignoring the looks of pity from the rooftops.
She took Violet’s hint and began to fool the soppy destruction the pair had left in their way.
