Flash!
Akira stumbled out of the portal into a large bookshelf as he tried to stop his charge, which had not stopped after catching the slippery guide.
Akira’s arms, now empty, pushed himself off of the ancient black bookshelf that towered above his head. As he looked around the new place he had been transferred to he could not see any enemies waiting to attack him, only several large black bookshelves.
Sniff, sniff!
With his powerful nose, he sniffed the air to scout for the scent of any hidden foes but only the musty smell of old leather and paper entered his nose. The bookshelves all looked well kept with no dust on the books and scrolls that were piled on top of them.
“I hope this is not some crazy monster’s dungeon…” said Akira as he looked around.

You have arrived at the Ancient Yokai library.
As a reward for passing several trials, you may take a rest and have all your questions answered… if you can find the right books. If you would like to quit the trial this is the last chance. If you wish to continue, when you are done resting you may go search for the next portal.
Akira walked along the several talk bookshelves reading the titles of the scrolls and books before stopping in front of a book that caught his attention.
He reached out and grabbed the book that was titled [Ancient Oddities of the Earth Tribe] and flipped it open to begin reading.
He stood there in silence as he read through the detailed history of the Earth Tribe. He was fascinated with the details of the great heroes of the past who all seemed to have the same skills as him. There were less than a dozen such people detailed in this book. They were names he had not heard of before nor had he seen any mention of this information in the clan histories that he had read through before. He was sure that even Klyn the bookworm would not have seen such information before!

You have discovered the ancient skill set [???]!
Your level is too low to access this information.
Until you reach the correct level you will be unable to use the skill set.
Akira reread over the last few sentences trying to figure out what the skill set was but there was no hint just rambling descriptions of one of the ancients and his fighting styles.
With so much important information in this book, he decided he had to take it with him to add to the Earth Tribes collection of books. They would drool all over it and glean every scrap of new information and history out of the text that they could.
Thinking this, Akira placed the book into his bag… and saw it reappear on the bookshelf in front of him.
Akira opened his bag and found that the book was indeed not there anymore. He tried to put it into his bag along with a few other books and scrolls but found that they kept disappearing from his bag and reappearing on the bookshelf.
“I guess you don’t want me to take the books out of this trial zone…” muttered Akira in defeat as he gave up trying to stuff books into his bag. Instead, he pulled out some paper and a charcoal pencil to start writing notes of the most important discoveries he found and things that he wanted to remember.
There were so many books inside this ancient library each packed with so much information that he could stay here for several decades and not finish reading everything. He knew he did not have decades nor did he have several days to waste here, he had to finish this trial as quickly as possible and return to the Alliance forces to deal with the demigods and Oni faction.
Many books piqued his interest but he forced himself to only read through the most important of books and scrolls so that he could better prepare for anything that may come up in the future.
One of those important topics being a small scroll titled [Cult of Science].
[…the cult of science is a small sect that prides itself on its secrecy. Unfortunately for them, I still live to expose their secrets.
Over the many generations, their recruiting methods have always relied on bloody trials where the majority of the recruits must be slaughtered for the cream of the crop to be accepted into the folds of their Cult.
They have been known to dabble in every major dark arts imaginable and have been behind several advancements that civilization celebrates not knowing the vile and torturous experiments used on their fellow human and demon races to gain results.
Rumors have it that they were the cause of the great catastrophe in the recent past. The catastrophe I am referring to is the appearance of various creatures known as ‘Monsters’ that caused the destruction of every old kingdom, shattering them into the many large city-states that are now in a never-ending power struggle.
Many righteous heroes have banded together time and time again when hearing such rumors using them to aid in their hunts to cleanse the lands of the cultists.
After spending much gold and lives to kill large groups of the cultists it is always the case that even more pop up to replace them.
Those who know of this secretive group are split on why they caused this catastrophe. Half believe they did it on purpose, while the other half believe it was a failed attempt and that they were planning something else even more drastic. It is possible they were hoping to fulfill a long-cherished goal…]
“This…,” Akira was blown away by all the information he was able to glean from the small scroll that detailed several of the Cult of Science’s atrocious crimes against humanity.
“So they have been around since even the ancient times causing problems. Are they really the cause of the monsters that plague our lands? Or is this just some fairy tale to explain why such creatures exist..”

A new secret main quest has been discovered!
[???.]
Requirements not met!
You must first successfully complete the trial and the current main quest [Civil War Unification].
“… I keep unlocking things but they are all blocked from being viewed. So what’s the point of notifying me…”
Akira continued to explore the library and gathered notes on all the most important subjects that he could think of before heading to the large wooden doors of the library that he had discovered on his walk through the several aisles of bookshelves.
As he exited the library’s front doors he was greeted with a pleasant breeze that flew across a large grassy plain. As far as one could see there was only a flat green grassy plain that rippled like waves in the wind.
Bright sunlight bathed Akira as he shielded his eyes to look up at the sky that looked all too real…
“Am I back in the real world again?”
Crunch, crunch!
Akira’s thoughts were interrupted by the loud sound of something chewing on a hard object along with the sound of fluttering feathers on his right.
Whirling around on guard he found a large row of several dozen stone stables with Large winged creatures inside them. [Griffon lvl 200]
The large griffons were eating, grooming themselves, and sleeping. Most of them paid him no attention as they continued with whatever they were doing.
‘Are they tame? Just who’s taking care of them?’ wondered Akira as he inspected the large creatures before once again scanning the area.
“Just where am I supposed to find the portal? There’s nothing but grass…”
Fwooosh!
A large griffon leaped into the air and landed down in front of Akira.
“Scree!” said the large griffon before bowing his head to Akira and squaring down onto the ground in front of him.
The griffon kept looking at him and then at its back while making chirps and clicks with its beak.
“Wait… do you want me to ride on your back? Do you know where the portal is?”
“Scree?” asked the griffon cocking its head to the side for several seconds as it stared at Akira only to shrug its wings in a human-like gesture.
“Well… might as well try it. I can at least get a better look at the land below from higher up in the sky…”
With that Akira did not hesitate and jumped onto the griffon’s back.
With one last ‘Screee!’ the griffon launched off the ground and turned to a southern direction from the library before shooting off towards an unknown destination that Akira hoped was someplace near the Portal.
