Unexpected

“That’s the story filled with love and affection.” Azazel, who didn’t understand anything from his parents’ story, simply looked uninterested.

“Okay, Dad, I’m going to the forest to hunt for some delicious meat for dinner tonight,” Azazel said.

His father replied with confidence, “Go ahead, son. Be careful, and if you can’t handle something on your own, use the amulet on your necklace. You’ll instantly return home without any trouble.”

“Got it, Dad. I’m leaving,” Azazel said, walking into the forest with his bow, known as the “Alam” or “Nature” bow. Azazel crafted the bow using the natural energy surrounding him, which allowed him to tap into the powerful forces of nature.

In essence, energy and magic are interchangeable. Energy can influence the world’s reality, while magic can alter and destroy it. The strength and tier of the magic determine its effects.

The world is divided into nine tiers:

1. Water Realm [Tier-1]: The ability to create basic magic.

2. River Realm [Tier-2]: The power to create a type of magic that can affect the environment.

3. Lake Realm [Tier-3]: The ability to heal wounds and affect internal injuries through magic.

4. Mountain Realm [Tier-4]: The skill to wield a sword that can sweep through a city with a single strike, blessed with mid-tier magic.

5. Cloud Realm [Tier-5]: The ability to seal and dispel low to mid-tier magic.

6. Moon Realm [Tier-6]: The energy to create high to mid-tier skills and magic.

7. Sun Realm [Tier-7]: The power to regenerate entirely, including the soul and mind, and create boundary magic.

8. Cosmic Realm [Tier-8]: The ability to create, possess skills, and regenerate, encompassing all previous tiers.

9. Infinite Realm [Tier-9]: The possession of all magical aspects, with no limits or boundaries, allowing for infinite growth and self-improvement.

Azazel’s power was at the Infinite Realm [Tier-9], but he had reduced it to the Moon Realm [Tier-6]. Generally, the Moon Realm was the most common tier, while the Sun Realm and above were extremely difficult to reach. In contrast, the Mountain Realm and below were relatively easy to attain.

Azazel was still perplexed by this tier system. Every day, he would read his father’s books about life, the world, and magic. He couldn’t understand why he always felt no desire to become a hero, despite his father’s stories and his parents’ constant talk about heroes.

Azazel, who had grown tired of hearing about heroes, responded with ambiguity, “I just want to be an ordinary person, protect the entire city, and my family, but without being a hero.”

As Azazel recalled the conversation, he ran towards a 50-meter-high cliff. Within 50 seconds, he arrived at the cliff and spotted a massive bear. Azazel stopped, observed his surroundings, and analyzed the bear’s movements. He drew an arrow, aimed with precision, and released it. The arrow flew swiftly, unaffected by the wind, and struck the bear’s head with deadly accuracy. The bear died instantly, and Azazel’s arrow seemed to defy the laws of nature, rendering its trajectory unpredictable.

Azazel descended from the 116.17-meter-high cliff at an incredible speed, his feet striking the ground with such force that the earth cracked, leaving an imprint of his feet.

Azazel felt no pain, and as he approached the bear he had killed, a horde of demonic soldiers attacked him from behind with a massive iron hammer.

The sound of cracking bones echoed through the air as Azazel was sent flying, crashing into the trunk of a tree. Blood spilled from his mouth, and as he coughed, more blood gushed out.

However, instead of showing pain, Azazel burst into laughter and smiled. He stood up, brushing himself off.

As he gazed at the demonic soldiers, Azazel noted their enormous size, surpassing even the bear’s. He estimated the bear’s height to be around 17.05 meters and its weight around 3,290 pounds. With this in mind, Azazel calculated the demons’ height to be approximately 20.19 meters and their weight comparable to the bear’s.

“Given their size and my speed, I only need one strike,” Azazel thought to himself.

He transformed his bow into his personal sacred sword, forged from the head of the god Tharnatos, who had once wreaked havoc on the god Cronos. Cronos beheaded Tharnatos, and his head was crafted into a sword, dubbed the Sacred Sword. This sword possessed the ability to slice through dimensions with a single strike, thanks to Tharnatos’ power to cleave through dimensions.
