Terrar then took a step back in surprise.
“Tell me how!” (Marcus)
Since it sounded like an order, Terrar gulped before explaining.
“I heard a rumor about a murderous bear in the Clover Plains region, so I decided to investigate it to see if that area should be avoided in your next invasion…” (Terrar)
As Terrar told the story about his time in Eastguard and about the bear and the knight fighting in as much detail as he could, the general sounded genuinely amused as laughed loudly.
Deep down, he knew that KMega6KMegacharacter wouldn’t die to something like that.
“You didn’t make sure he was dead, did you? Did you stab his heart or cut his neck?” (Markus)
Terrar was a little taken aback because he didn’t think that he needed to go to such extremes.
His negative response didn’t surprise the general either.
“Alas, I can’t provide you with the full bounty without his head as proof. The information your brought, and after hearing you deal a blow to the peasants is worthy of a reward.
However, if his death is confirmed, you will then be paid in full.” (Marcus)

With this; Terrar became the second person in Sword Kingdom to acquire a noble title in the near six IRL months since its release. He was then taken back to the landfill of wealth he just recieved. After giving up on a noble title for so long, his dream became an unexpected reality.
It made him curious about how this could be only a partial reward.
What would have he received if he actually claimed the man’s head?

KMega was waiting in the ward like the priests and priestesses asked him to. He then realized the reason that he was safe on the way to the village was because the demonic aura kept the animals away. He also noticed that one of the priests was a foreign player based on the difficulties he had between languages being translated. The other priest was his companion. He hadn’t heard about a lot of players becoming priests because of strict game requirements. To top it off, lots of players and guilds longed for a companion priest. His value as a player was astronomical. Any guild would pay tens of thousands of coins just as a sign up bonus alone for such a player.
In fact, KMega was offered such money a few times as well. He’s a solo player though, so he feared what kind of abuse they would put Astrid7Astridcharacter through as well.
Since the bishop that KMega requested was called in from Eastguard’s capitol, he was a true follower of the church and sheltered many men, commoners, and nobles when the empire invaded. He had met the youth KMega a few times and remembered the donation of a mountain of beast bodies that he could have never claimed for himself.
It left a lasting impression on the bishop, so when he saw KMega again, he was quite shocked.
