Programming Note

Dated 8/25/2024

I’ve mentioned this in my notes, but the free readers may not be far enough along to see it mentioned yet. My work has, for pretty much the duration of this summer, turned into something of a nightmare due to some scheduling issues outside my control (or to be frank, my management’s control, as the problem is elsewhere in the company.)

It has basically wound up with me doing at least twice the amount of work I would normally do, for months on end. Although this condition is at an end at work, it has taken a serious toll on my health. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which has, among other symptoms, the effect of chronic fatigue. Naturally, as it is on top of my other health issues (liver, etc.) this is something requiring constant management to prevent flare-ups, and the current high stress conditions at work are causing that management to fail.

Bottom line, I’m unable to concentrate on writing, being forced to take time off at work, and too tired and hurting to do much about it.

So, I give up on this week. I’ve decided to skip this week, after struggling for some time to write. It’s time to admit my health is just not up to this. I will rest up this week (and possible take a day or two from work to recover), then resume posting next week. After a breather to reset, I should be okay.
