Guo Sichen coldly glanced at his employees bowing their heads down in obvious fear and shame.
“Why hasn’t this been brought to my attention?”
None of the employees had the guts to answer, so they all looked at Zhao Lei, almost begging him with their gazes.
Zhao Lei felt indignant. Who said that he lived a good life? His salary didn’t even matter anymore. His mental and emotional health suffered almost every day because if this young master ah!
He just came back to the company after being abandoned by this eccentric CEO and he gets pushed to be a cannon fodder within a minute! What kind of unfair life am I living?!
“This… our corporate image seemed to suffer slowly and silently recently, master.” Zhao Lei hesitatingly uttered.
Indeed gossip was a weapon. What started as mere speculation in the business circle eventually became a hushed common knowledge.
The public relations couldn’t control this when the rumors started piling up from legitimate sources, only that it was exaggerated and twisted stories.
“The matter ultimately came from you uncle, Mr. Ji Shin. He was seen several times with well known big shots in the underworld.” Zhao Lei informed Guo Sichen.
‘Uncle…’
His fist clenched tightly, a stormy look clouding over him.
“I want this matter solved by tomorrow. Uncle will be dealt with.” Guo Sichen coldly passed a look to Zhao Lei.
Meanwhile, in University A, Song Lan had just gotten down from the car when numerous heads turned to her. Once they realized who it was, they all whipped their heads so fast it could break.
One guy among the onlookers was clueless and mindlessly uttered, “Wow, what a beauty… Eh, how come I’ve never seen her?”
The guy’s friend looked at him in horror and slapped a hand on his mouth, color draining from his face. “This bastard! Are you crazy? You trying to get killed or are you blind? That’s Boss Sun!” He harshly whispered to which was loud enough for Song Lan to hear anyway.
“Nevermind that she’s beautiful, you won’t have the time to admire her before she smashes your bones. She’s a complete psycho!
Song Lan, “…”
She only sighed and continued to walk, no one dared to come close to her sides. One girl walking across her path was harshly pulled back by her friend once she saw Song Lan.
Once Song Lan met their gazes they nearly peed their pants and scrambled off running like they could be disfigured if they stayed any longer.
Ayo, am I really that scary? Song Lan touched her face and frowned. She meticulously took care of her face today.
Song Lan’s mood dampened as she continued to receive terrified looks from all over. She could say that she was used to people’s repulsion but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t affected by it.
At one point she regretted standing up for others, she admits that violence was the wrong path to take but she was filled by so much anger from the reminder of her past life that she couldn’t think clearly. She would always be plagued by thoughts of saving her brother when she saw violence.
As for other times, she just didn’t want to bow down. A lot of gangsters challenged her before too, but they were all singlehandedly crushed by her. She just did it so no one would make trouble for her anymore but I guess the effects went overboard…
Song Lan attended all her classes in the morning. Despite her reputation, she was a good student ah! She wasn’t particularly that smart but she wasn’t too bad too. When the bell rang, signaling lunchtime Song Lan finally showed a happy smile and rushed outside her classroom.
Everyone was used to her rushing when it was lunchtime but they all couldn’t help but look at each other knowingly while shaking their heads in sympathy.
It so happened that the overbearing bully shamelessly went after their male god, Tian Zhelan.
All the girls who tried to pursue him before could only turn back and begrudgingly curse Song Lan in their hearts. This only heightened the hate towards her.
“Oh my god! That shameless gangster! I’m about to be infuriated to death! How can she go after our male god when he’s so outstanding and she like a dirt stuck in everyone’s toe?”
“Exactly! One has to have a really thick face to even appear before Tian Zhelan but not only that, she buzzes around him like an annoying fly!”
Song Lan couldn’t care less about those girls. All they could do was run their mouths off behind her back anyway. They were no rivals in love. Maybe if they had the guts to publicly chase after Tian Zhelan too, she could acknowledge them. But they were all too scared she’d beat them up. So unless they could have to courage to go against her, they were also just buzzing flies to her!
Meanwhile, in the student council room, Tian Zhelan was busily writing proposals for school events.
Han Chao, a friend of Zhelan suddenly opened the door loudly causing everyone to be disturbed by their works. They all threw dissatisfied looks towards him to which Han Chao shamelessly ignored.
It was like a hobby for him to come during lunch to bug his friend. “Eh, Zhelan, still not finished with that?” He peered over what Tian Zhelan was writing.
Tian Zhelan dropped his pen and gave him a look, “What do you think?”
“Oh, you’re done now? Why are you getting up?” Han Chao curiously asked while he followed Tian Zhelan outside the door.
Tian Zhelan walked on the halls with his hands inside his pockets.
Han Chao suddenly gasped dramatically, “Oh my, could it be… that you’re going to out to get chased by the gangster?”
Tian Zhelan immediately glared at Han Chao, making him shut his mouth.
But as they walked, he suddenly said, “Don’t misunderstand…” he frowned and paused.
“It’s just that people are busy in the student council room.”
Han Chao obviously didn’t buy what he said but said kept his mouth shut with an infuriating grin plastered on his face.
“Oooh, our president is so considerate. Are you sure you’re not just hungry?” Han Chao annoyed him.
“Shut up.”
“Make sure to share Boss Sun’s food~”
“I said shut up.”
