Roderick, now disguised as Emperor, went to the back of the palace. Every soldier looked at him. He believed Witch had done her work perfect because Knights were bowing at him.
“You.” Roderick pointed at the Knight who was bowing him, “You have betrayed me.”
“No, my Lord. How can I betray you?”
“Execute him.” He called a soldier.
Even the soldier now had guts to disagree with Emperor, “I also think you are mistaken. He can’t betray you. And war is not over yet. How will we win the war if you execute Knights?”
“War is won. I have sent Lord Commander in. Now, execute him or I will order for your head.”
The soldier obeyed him.
Roderick went on to see other Knights. He ordered all of them executed. Without knights and with Lord Commander far from soldiers, they had nobody to guide them.
He was taking full advantage of the castle’s circumference.
As long as the real Emperor doesn’t come here, I can do this. Hell, it will take him more than half an hour to make it here from the front of the castle. Roderick smirked.
He did not need to fear about Emperor. He was an afterthought. Roderick spotted one man coming towards him on his horse. He was also a knight.
“What are you doing, my lord?” Knight watched the corpses.
“Justice. They are all traitors?”
“How did they become traitors all of a sudden?”
“My sources told me.”
“What if your sources are lying? Or what if you are lying?” Knight looked straight in his eyes, “Didn’t I see you in the other side of castle a while ago?”
“Didn’t you see me sitting on a horse there?”
“I saw you sit on a white horse. Not brown.” Knight smirked.
“Emperor can ride any horse he likes.” A young man spoke. Around him there were more fourteen people, making their number fifteen.
“Who are you?” Knight questioned.
“We are fifteen of those Brave Twenty Men.”
“I apologize. I did not recognize you all. It is an honor that you came here to fight for us.”
“I came here to see what the twentieth man was up to.” The man pointed at Roderick.
Holy hell! Emperor is the twentieth man? Roderick got astonished.
