“Ah? Big brother taught me how to cultivate so I could join the Immortal sects?” Ying Yue starts to ponder with a finger on her chin.
“Yes yes! He did not manage to join an Immortal Sect so he wanted you to help fulfil his dream! We already agreed to let you marry him since he changed your life but you do not have to make your life all about him!” Ying Yue’s mother quickly says to persuade her little girl whose vivid imagination has somehow gone into overdrive regarding her encounter with Shang Shi.
Ying Yue’s father who is standing at the side could no longer keep quiet and say “Ying Yue if you decide to join the Qing Yu sect, it does not mean that your marriage with the Shang family boy is cancelled.” He says in a gentle tone but he is making a stern look at his wife who has never approved of the marriage.
“Yes yes, cancelling the arranged marriage will bring shame to our Ying family especially since we are the one who brought it up.” Ying family patriarch Ying Si said with a gentle, but his words are obviously meant for Elder Bing and not Ying Yue.
Ying Yue expression slowly turned into a happy smile. Growing up in a family full of love, where even the members from the branch family are close to each other has allowed Ying Yue to grow up innocently and has kept a little naivety so she believes that nobody will lie or hurt her.
“Ah okay, if daddy and mommy want me to join the Qing Yu sect then I will join them!” she cheerfully says.
“Quick quick, call her master instead of big sister!” Ying Yue’s mother quickly nudges Ying Yue towards Elder Bing.
“Ah? Master?” Ying Yue says in confusion.
“Haha, good girl. Master will give you an Immortal sword when we return to our sect. This girl is Qing Xue, she is your senior sister from now on. She will take care of you as well and you may approach her if you have any problems.” Elder Bing is excited by the fact that she has taken in a disciple that is both blessed by the heavens and has superb talent in cultivation, unaware of the fact that she was unable to cultivate in the past and would have been deemed as trash in the cultivation world.
“Ah? Go back to the sect? Me?” Ying Yue asks, unaware that she will have to stay in the sect once she joins the Qing Yu sect.
“Yes yes, the Qing Yu sect will be your new home from now on. Come come, Elder Bing, we have stood outside in the courtyard for far too long. Please enter the house” Ying Yue’s mother quickly gestures for Elder Bing to enter the house.
Ying Yue finally realises that she will be leaving home and starts crying “Noooooooo, I don’t want to leave home!!! Boohooohooo, mummy you don’t want me anymore????”
The adults just make a wry smile as Ying Yue’s behaviour is common for children of her age who had to leave the house suddenly, but nothing will change the fact that she will join the Qing Yu sect since the parents are still in charge of their children’s discipline, education and marriage in this world.
…
Ahhh…I’m not dead. The last thing I remember was the darn tiger rushing at me, trying to kill me. I unleashed the <Onerous Blow> that I had already prepared on him but the tiger suddenly started glowing brightly and he exploded.
As I open my eyes, the sunlight shining on my eyes stings me a little and I growl in pain.
“Arggg” I mutter.
*Piang*
The sound of a cup being dropped on the floor sounds out.
“You’re awake?!” Liu Kang exclaims in shock.
“Urrgg, not so loud. I can hear you clearly. Is everyone okay? Is the fight over?” I ask.
I try to sit up but I realise I cannot move my body and when I look at my body, I realised that I have bandages all over. “What happened to me?” I ask Liu Kang who was next to my bed.
“The tiger realized that he could not kill any of us and he could not escape since his legs were badly injured so he tried to kill you by exploding himself. All we saw was a huge explosion and then you were sent flying and smashed into a wall. When we examined you, your skin was charred and you had some fractures so we brought you back here and bandaged you up.” He explained.
“Judge Cui and Judge Tang were the ones hurt the most in the fight and Judge Cui is still unconscious. You actually recovered earlier than him…Judge Tang gave orders for Zhao Keng, Mo Di and Sima Di to check on PuZhang village and return once they confirm the status of the village. The rest of us are resting here and taking care of the injured. Rest here, I will go get Judge Tang.” Liu Kang says while he leaves the room to look for Judge Tang.
As I look at my bandaged body, I don’t know what to think and just stare at it. I tried moving my toes and my fingers and there was nothing wrong with them. I tried moving my arms and legs and it didn’t seem like there was anything wrong either. Since the bandages were restricting my movements, I slowly tried to untie it and my body was already healing.
(System, how come I can heal so fast?)
[Beep!] [You are not healing faster than the typical qi flow cultivator.](You mean qi flow cultivators can heal serious burns so quickly?)
[Beep!] [You did not suffer any serious burns.](?What?)
[The punch you executed sent you flying backwards so the tiger’s self destruction only burned the surface of your skin. You shut your eyes due to the bright light and you were eventually knocked out by the fall.]Soon Judge Tang arrived and his arms were bandaged up and his right arm was in a sling. “Uncle Tang! Are your arms fine?!” I ask worriedly before he could ask me the same question.
Uncle Tang makes a wry smile and says “its fine. I suffered a few hairline fractures and I will recover soon. How are your burns?”
“They are just minor burns, I will get well soon. Luckily I was sent flying backwards from the recoil of the skill I executed or I would have died. How is Uncle Cui?”
“Judge Cui should be okay but he is unconscious right now. He took a hard hit from the tiger and later Zhuge Pang was sent flying towards him. I’m not sure which attack is heavier haha!” Judge Cui says with a smile but soon makes a smile when he jokes about Zhuge Pang.
“Uncle Tang, how long have I been unconscious for?” I ask as I slowly and carefully remove the bandages on my body but leave some to cover the unsightly burnt skin.
“You’ve been out for more than half a day. I’ve sent some of us who aren’t injured to check on PuZhang town. We will move out once they return and Judge Cui wakes up. The situation is weird, with how the villagers are summoning monster kings and bandits slaughtering villages” Uncle Tang says with a serious tone.
