An army of 500 mages was scattered around the Underbroom Cave but Epsilon (Nick) was not clear about its mission.
Before he left the Werfur Base, Nick asked Rabial.
“How much would the Werfur Race Anderium Base pay me for killing these mages?”
Rabial did not expect this question from Nick.
He calculated within seconds though, applied a reference, and quoted a price.
“We would pay you 20,000 Ether Stones.”
Rabial assumed Nick would not accept the offer, but reality proved otherwise — Nick willingly agreed.

Outside the Underbroom Cave, Nick focused his attention on the situation in front of him. He flicked his hands and created three Sonic Bullets with ‘Silent’ knowledge added to them. Now, the bullets will not create any sound once they shot towards their targets. It had a basic sense of direction too, Nick also tried to use it with Wave Wadar. This means that compared to seeing a target with his own eyes. As long as target in his “Wave Radar”, He could create a “Sonic Bullet” and shoot it.
Sonic Bullet which connected with to “Wave Radar” ability, will find it is target according to the thoughts of Nick and kill it. Or at least damage it if the target is stronger than usual enemies of Nick. Which is not the case for him at the moment.
Nick used ‘Wave Radar’ to locate the enemies. He first targeted a group of three young mages stationed on the outer perimeter of the Underbroom Cave. The closest mage group to them was more than 100 meters away. These group of mages were easy kills.
The sun would go down in an hour and the air already cooled down. The three young mages prepared to light a fire, readying for the night.
One of the young male mages looked at the female mage with a smile on his face. In this mission, he planned to propose to the female mage he was in love with.
After preparing the fire, he caught the female mage alone and was about to speak but just then, including the mage left behind, the heads of the three mages exploded and their bodies fell on the ground.
Nick smiled and started to look for other small groups. With this spell, other than high-leveled mages and mages who had active protection spells that could block his Sonic Bullet, there was nobody he could not kill from a long distance.
Within 30 seconds, he targeted the next three-mage group, and their end was the same.
As Nick killed these humans, he realized he did not feel anything at all. To him, squashing bugs or killing humans was the same. From his perspective, the human mages who entered and occupied the Underbroom Cave were enemies who tried to seize land from the Werfurs, a race that helped him when he needed it, and even signed a Golden Document with him.
When seen in this context, Nick was only a soldier defending his homeland from enemies who invaded it.
After about 10 minutes, almost all amateur and young mages outside the Underbroom Cave died. The kill count reached over 50. According to intel, there were now only 450 mages left.
At this moment, Nick felt a change in him. It looked like his energy upgraded and he was more powerful.

After checking his status, Nick smiled. He deliberated more on the ‘Passive Abilities’ mentioned. In the spell section, the only passive spell listed was the Iron Blood Energy Shield.
While this was accurate, the thing that piqued his interest was the ‘+200 Magical Protection Bonus’. As he thought about this actively, System showed him a different kind of status.
‘Nick – Defensive Status’
‘Mage – Epsilon’
‘Physical Resistance – 50 (Level 4 Imper Level Mage = 40)
‘Physical Resistance – Clothes = 10’

This was the first time Nick saw a status like this. This must be his defensive and resistance stats in general. He would not check this too often, but this information was critical for spell creation.
Without wasting any time, he started killing groups of five this time. He felt energized after leveling up. Killing others gave him battle experience and a surge in his magical power. It was evident that his level upgraded faster when he was in battle or was fighting, in comparison to when he engaged in magical research.

Elic and Avir were still in the tent. This time, however, they had discarded their serene appearances and were distressed.
The battle intel reached them. They lost about 50-60 young Imper Level mages stationed around the outer circle of the Underbroom Cave. They did not expect the Werfurs to launch such a quick and decisive attack.
In the end, however, they could not blame their attackers. The Deep Water Organization was forcibly invading the land that belonged to the Werfurs officially — what else did they expect?
Elic gathered her thoughts and started instructing.
“Avir, form a group of intel mages and try to locate the enemy. Start devising a defense stratagem immediately. We have no time to waste. Even as we speak, the enemies are killing more of our mages.”
Without saying anything, Avir rushed out of the tent and regrouped the mages. He remained calm and issued orders to every mage within seconds, leaving no room for errors.
In the meanwhile, there was a silent, creepy atmosphere in the main tent. The experienced mages could sense the danger lurking around them. This turn of events was not good.
Elic’s behavior too made a few things apparent. It seemed like this mission was not as easy as the ones they did earlier. It most likely was the hardest task the Deep Water Organization had undertaken ever since the time it was founded.
