chapter – 100 – Three Monsters

As Epsilon beat the War Machine Model 3 in a single shot, the Lord of Anderium and Spectator turned to look at Warin with complicated expressions.

“What kind of human were you dealing with Warin? That spell of his, that destroyed the War Machine – Model 3, would be enough to kill any of us if we did not expect it.”

Despite the situation, Leader Warin smiled and answered.

“I know. But as I said, every spell he uses is self-created and I don’t know the true extent of his capabilities.”

Spectator and Lord of Anderium did not comment but turned to look back at the ongoing battle, where while the human mages were filled with renewed energy, the magical creatures were not lacking either.

Within 15 seconds, more gaps opened in the wall due to the War Machines – Model 3 attacks. Interestingly enough, Nick chose this moment to smoke a cigar and casually commented on the monster hordes.

“It is weird… I do not see stronger creatures or creatures capable of using magic like the Werfurs or any intelligent life.”

Thinking of something, Nick conjured two Reaper Anubis and ordered.

“One of you go West and explore that area, and the other one, check out the East. If you find weaker creatures that you can destroy without raising alarm or harming yourself, then don’t hold back.”

The Reaper Anubites received their orders, jumped down, and took off in the West and East directions respectively.

Nick used Wave Radar to observe the oncoming enemies. At this time, he finally noticed some different kinds of creatures.

Up until now, the magical creatures were largely Imper Level or Student Level 1 magical levels. But now, he saw mage-type and physical-type creatures at the level of Prive Level (Student Level 2).

There were three types of creatures he immediately noticed.

‘Stone Giant (Prive Level Creature – Physical)’

‘A creature made up from stone with strong defensive capabilities and crushing force of power, but their slow speed.’

The second type of creature was…

‘Waterlover Turtle (Prive Level Creature – Magical)’

‘A turtle the size of a lion, capable of casting two spells. The ‘Water Arrow’, an arrow made up of water that it shoots from its mouth and ‘Water Bubble Defensive Shield’, a sphere-shaped bubble for protection against arrows and magical spells.’

The last creature was an agility type creature, which appeared to be used for assassinations.

‘One-Handed Hunter Snake – (Prive Level Creature – Physical)’

‘A mutant snake that has one strong arm on the right side of the body. It is capable of using a speed-type ability named ‘Slithering Ghost’ that boosts its speed by 300% and increases its stealth ability by more than 100%.’

These three creatures came in volumes, attacking the city walls and the mages on it.

Many of the mages concentrated their attacks on the Stone Giants, blocking many spells, creating live shields for creatures behind them.

However, several mages on the wall were shot down by Water Arrows from the Waterlover Turtles, and the One-Handed Hunter Snakes swiftly dodged spells, climbing up the walls.

Nick used Sonic Bullets to kill One-Handed Hunter Snakes with ease. They may be Prive-level creatures but that did not mean their defence was enough to stop his bullets. Other than the Stone Giants, there were no creatures capable of blocking Nick’s Sonic Bullets. Even the Stone Giants were only capable to block three or four Sonic Bullets before going down.

Nick laughed a little as he continuously cast Sonic Bullets, decreasing the enemy numbers.

He whispered as he targeted more than 20 Stone Giants coming towards the wall in a circular shape, hiding the weaker creatures behind them in the circle.

“Vacuum Bomb.”

With his whisper, a cluster of Vacuum Bombs exploded and destroyed the armies easily, their body parts scattered around and some of them even passed over the wall due to the explosive power.

The mages who witnessed the explosion and the destroyed Stone Giants laughed and yelled, raising their motivation in the battle.

Having Nick on their side, whom they thought was a Magister Level Mage, which was the same level as Blue Tear Magic School President and Blue Tear Empire Ancestor Mage, increased their morale to an unshakeable intensity.

It was a different kind of psychological strength.

The Lord of Anderium gave out a cold breath looking at the fallen magical creatures and commented.

“We cannot refer to this mage named Epsilon as Peak Provec mage. His power and spells are already past Magister Level and it could pose a danger to any of us.”

Spectator and Leader Warin looked at the snake-face of the Anderium Forest Lord and showed they understood his comment.

If a being that was even higher than Magister Level said these words, then there was no doubt they were to be taken seriously. They needed to refer to Epsilon as an equal mage as themselves, maybe even stronger in some cases.

If not, they would lose too many troops. It has already been two hours and they could still not breach the walls. This was not a good sign, and definitely not in line with their expectations.

As the battle kept going, a creature showed itself in front of the humans, seeing whom even Nick showed some distress.

‘Stone Ancestor – Magister Level – Mage’

‘A Stone Giant evolved into the Stone Ancestor, capable of using strong earth magic, has a strong magical and physical defense, as well as robust physical power.’

The Stone Ancestor was seven meters tall. It was holding a big rock that most likely weighed more than 30 tonnes, showing its sheer physical power.

Within seconds, the Stone Ancestor used his magical energy to throw the big rock at the wall, where Nick and other mages were stationed at.

None of the mages had any chance to escape when the rock hit the wall, breaking it down completely. Barring Nick, more than 40 mages died in this attack and there was a gap of five meters that opened up in the wall.

The monsters spotted this immediately and moved even faster, not caring about being dead or alive.
