Chapter 1117: This Female Soldier Is Not Easy To Capture

The other party also brought their own dry rations; there was no need for them to search for food like her. In terms of survival, Ye Jian was still at a disadvantage.

The most important point was: She didn’t even know there were military personnel involved in the ‘escape from death’ training this time, they even sent people over!

Ye Jian, who didn’t feel much burden in her heart as she traveled the mountain which spanned for god, knows how many thousand miles the whole day. After a dozen hours of travel, she began preparing for tonight’s dinner.

The temperature in Dalang Mountain before the beginning of summer was still low. Ye Jian stood by the stream preparing tonight’s dinner…… eating stone crabs in the cervices of the rocks.

On the first day of travel, she ate some roots, it was sweet and contained enough moisture; she tried eating tree barks, it was bitter and dry, the fibers were thick enough to cut her throat. She was still unable to eat mice and snacks; she needed to replenish her salt and iron; she needed to eat these.

Ye Jian didn’t feel like it was a problem having no food in this ‘escape from death’ training. It was like survival in the wild; it was more relaxing compared to the fifteen days she encountered earlier.

Ye Jian was unable to continue eating after eating ten stone crabs the size of a bottle cap. She wiped out her traces before the skies were dark; Ye Jian then searched for a place she could rest tonight…… An unknown tree that grew from the cracks of a rock.

She was all alone on the mountain. The wind blew, causing the leaves to rustle; Ye Jian quickly climbed up the tree, fastened her rucksack as a pillow, and began resting.

The winds were strong, the temperature at ten at night was much lower, several dark figures passed through the darkness and directly headed to the south.

They were soldiers sent by the provincial military district; a team needed to chase the female soldier they were pursuing, another team must head to the front to carry out an ambush. They would withdraw within three days if they were unable to catch the female soldier in training.

Considering it as withdrawal due to failure!

It would be too shameful to be mentioned if fourteen people were unable to catch a single female soldier. But it was said that the female soldier being pursued was different from an ordinary female soldier. During the pursuit, the female soldier cannot be regarded as an ordinary female soldier; they must increase their vigilance.

”Intercept from there, you two are good in ambush, remember, capture alive!” It was almost dawn, a small team of seven people arrived at the front before Ye Jian, the team leader, deployed the action, “Don’t be in a rush to take action when the target entered the line of sight, the female soldier coming is not simple, we need to be careful.”

”Rest for two hours right now, take turns to keep a lookout.”

The team leader reconfirmed the deployment plan; he asked the soldier to guard the checkpoint. With a wave of his hand, they rested for two hours before continuing.

They would arrive at the mountain at ten in the morning of the next day; they would scale the mountain for sixteen hours in a row. It was three in the morning right now, and they can sleep until five, replenishing the strength.

The mountain at night was not very quiet; the chirping of little insects sounded nonstop; it was no noisy; it was like a lullaby which made Ye Jian fall asleep in a short while.

Even with the lullaby ringing beside her ears, she could not enter deep sleep, there was no one, but she still needed to be alert, even if the environment was down to earth, it was actually not.

Besides, she had eaten raw food the whole day. Ye Jian, who slept until two in the morning, woke up in hunger. She already entered a hungry state; such a state would continue appearing.

At dawn, Ye Jian woke up again; she scooped a handful of cold stream water to freshen up. Under the thin sunlight, Ye Jian looked at the compass, she opened the map and marked it with a pen, she was muttering, “The mountain stream over here is a little winding, it’s a bit steep cutting through this way……”
