Chapter 1302 The Embarrassed Devil King Li

Ye Jian, who was equivalent to ‘KIA,’ couldn’t continue with the upcoming beach-landing training mission. Meanwhile, Li Jinnian had something more important that he wanted to admonish Ye Jian about. The two of them remained silent the entire time they were swimming to the inflatable boat that was docked. Even until after getting into the boat, the pressure field around Li Jinnian still didn’t dissipate.

Basking under the midday sun while wearing the rubber diving suit made it feel as though they were caged in a steamer. After climbing onto the boat, before the humidity they brought up from the ocean was gone, sweat was already slowly flowing down their faces along their forehead.

Big Shark gently patted Li Jinnian’s shoulder. He lowered his voice as he reminded, “Don’t be that strict. Big Whale said her performance underwater wasn’t bad at all. Don’t make demands that are too strict. After all, she’s only trained with us for less than two months.”

“Eliminating beach-landing obstacles, verifying and marking positions of water mines, installing magnetic water mines, she already passed all of those. In the end, you yourself wanted to go test her. Because of the difference in strength, how would you expect her to avoid you and finish her beach-landing mission?”

“Jin Nian, you can be strict towards her, but you cannot be overly harsh.”

Afraid that his teammate would put on a scary face later, criticize her like how he would criticize his own comrades in the unit, and straight up start criticizing Ye Jian without holding back, he would make it hard for a female soldier with thin skin to overcome this.

Ye Jian was still trying to climb the boat from the other side. Big Eel was lowering his waist as he pulled her up and didn’t even notice the interaction between Big Shark and Li Jinnian.

When climbing aboard boats while in a suit of diving equipment, they needed to help each other out; otherwise, it’ll take them quite some time to even get in.

“Thanks.”

Ye Jian, who was at the boat’s tail-end, smiled as she thanked Big Eel. Her refreshing voice that floated into Big Shark’s ears was comparable to piano tunes. He then turned around to Li Jinnian, who was rubbing his breathing mask, and said bitterly: “Later, no matter what, try to say it less directly, understand! No matter how excellent Ye Jian is, she’s still a female soldier, unlike rough men like us.”

With that said, Big Shark suddenly “Tasked” and asked with a suspicious tone, “That’s not right, what mistake did she make? Why is your face scrunched up the moment you climbed aboard? I didn’t even get a chance to ask what she did wrong.”

“From the three minutes I got on the boat till now, you did not give me half a second to even speak up.” Li Jinnian, who had finished cleaning his breathing mask, raised his slender brows. Under the sunlight, his stereoscopic features were akin to a deity, the coldness in his eyes were unbreakable, as they glowed with a light that instilled fear, “Now, can I start talking?”

 ……

Big Shark breathed in a large breath, “Then why did you look so bad when you climbed aboard?”

“I was a little embarrassed, okay?” Li Jinnian replied indifferently. His handsome face maintained an indifferentness that seemed to be uninterested in anything … No matter how he looked, it doesn’t seem like he was embarrassed at all!

Receiving such an answer, Big Shark immediately choked as he started coughing. After thinking about it for so long, the only thing he didn’t think about… Oh, so that’s how it is!

In the next second, Li Jinnian then calmly continued: “She did make a mistake, perish together? When have we ever taught her such a style of underwater combat?” If she escaped through the fishing net, she absolutely had enough time to pull out her handgun and aim it at him, but she didn’t. When faced with his close approach, she had chosen the dumbest way in the end!

Suddenly being wrapped into a hug by her was slightly embarrassing, but more of it was because she didn’t grasp the opportunity to take down her enemy and instead chose the dumbest way; that’s why he was slightly angry.

“…Next time, finish your sentence in one breath; that’ll save my heart from going all over the place.” Big Shark turned around and glanced at Ye Jian, who was sorting her diving equipment. His voice couldn’t help but go lower and quieter, “You were hugged for a moment; you weren’t taken advantage of, so don’t wear such a cold face as though you had just lost your purity. If you really feel like you lost your innocence, why don’t you have a discussion with Ye Jian? Make her take responsibility?”
