The front desk quickly sent a server to bring up the scald cream. Ye Jian, who heard the door ringing, signaled Xia Jinyuan to continue washing the burned area with water as she took a quick step forward to open the door.
Closing slightly the faucet, Xia Jinyuan saw her lover who had left, smiling and thanking the server.
He glanced at the burn, which was about the size of a coin on his palm; his thin lips could not help bending upwards again; this burn… was really not in his plan. His plan was to accidentally spill the water when he bent over to pick up the covers.
When the cover was wet, he had an excuse to say that he needed to share bed with her. He was not afraid that she would call the front desk to bring extra covers over again; he would always have a solution.
It turned out that no matter how good his plan was, he had made a mistake. He didn’t expect to burn himself. However, although it was painful, it was worth it!
“It’s just a small burn. You don’t need to go to the hospital. Thank you.” At the door, Ye Jian declined the server’s kindness, closed the door, and quickly returned to the kitchen with the cream.
Burns were very common injuries; even the most cautious people couldn’t avoid burns. Ye Jian really didn’t suspect that Xia Jinyuan had done it on purpose. When she returned to the kitchen, she saw Xia Jinyuan wiping his hand with a dry towel.
Before leaving the hospital, they wore a dark coat that they kept in their luggage and covered their winter uniforms. When they entered the room, they habitually took off their coats and hung them in the wardrobe on the side of the entrance hall. They were all dressed in plain winter clothes now.
A tall man wearing a shirt that tailored to his figure the most, his dark green military uniform showing off his masculine temperament as he stood in the shadow of the spotlight. His short hair, exquisite and handsome profile, and the grace that naturally emerged from his every move, made him look like a God.
His hands were quite slender, and they didn’t even turn tan after being exposed to the wind and sun. After being washed with water, they were so fair that they seemed to be pearly and moist. No one would think that this was a pair of hands that held a gun before; they would think that this was a pair of hands that played the keys on black and white pianos.
Although his hand looked good, the burn on the back of the hand was a hindrance to appreciation. Ye Jian frowned, “You should rinse at least ten minutes; it has only been five minutes.”
“It’s not serious; five minutes is enough.” Xia Jinyuan set the towel rack, turned to look at his frowning lover, and laughed aloud, “Don’t look like that, it’s not a big problem, just a little burn.”
Ye Jian retracted her gaze that fell on his handsome face, took a light but deep breath, and approached him with a steady mind, “Here is the med, put it on first, and then apply it again after your shower before going to bed. Avoid hot water when you’re showering.”
She directly held his hands that countless women wanted to hold, squeeze out some light green and mint-scented ointment, and carefully applied a thin layer. Ye Jian, with her eyes down, whispered, “Remember next time, put the kettle down first before doing other things. Luckily it is just a small burn today. It’s only a little scald, and it’s at the back of your hand. Even if there is a scar, it will not be seen clearly.”
“What if you burn your face? Captain Xia, even if you can’t be a soldier one day, you can definitely rely on your face for food after you retire. You have to protect it well.”
Her boyfriend was handsome; of course, she was satisfied as a woman. Everyone had a love for beauty, and she was no exception, even having lived two lives.
Major Xia dumbly said, “Little Fox, I didn’t expect you to care about appearance. I have heard you say that you want me to protect my face several times.”
