I think the MC is hated due to some instinct. At first it might have been an ongoing joke by the author, but perhaps something is nurturing the MC to become a god of darkness (we have a god of light and demons, so far, right? I haven’t heard of a god overseeing dark element) He is soulless, so perhaps he’s a reincarnation of a god, or incubating it, and his soul is just not something demons can perceive? That element is something unnatural and repulsive to the living, so he might be emitting that feeling to to others. A few characters already mentioned multiple times they feel odd that they don’t feel gratitude or good will towards the MC, I think it might be intentional and not random self-reflection.
Oh my, the MC is being treated like trash, as always. May as well ask him to get coffee as well? Waiting for the novel to actually take a look at the fact that the MC is dying and yet “do this” and “do that” are being thrown around left right and center. When the MC finally nearly dies I really hope they don’t treat him like s*** all the time, it gets old and annoying seeing as a guy with a bad personality is treated like s*** and bad mouthed just because of it, he really should be treated with a modicum of respect, comparable to the ministers and top members of the country as if he wanted to, he could own the country. Others treat his wife and the lizard (ahem… dragon) with respect and yet just because he has a bad personality (this is completely ignoring the fact that he has saved their lives too many times to count) he is treated worse than them. Crappy writing and the novel is ruined by the author sticking to a crappy schtick as though it’s the only thing in this novel that will never change. Oh well thanks for the chapter
