Gu De Shou’s expression turns dark after he hears Zhuang Nai Nai’s question.

Although Gu De Shou is a piece of trash, he is a handsome one. He has that certain charm in him that easily attracts women. He can butter up to Si Zheng Ting and not look pathetic while doing it. She can tell that he must have been really handsome in his youth.
But…. Her Zhuang Mama’s appearance is very common, she does not suit Gu De Shou appearance-wise. Li Yu Feng does, though.

After leaving the Gu Residence, Zhuang Nai Nai sits on the passanger seat of Si Zheng Ting’s car, deep in thoughts.
Si Zheng Ting who has been driving quietly steals a few looks at her. His lips move a little, but he cannot find anything to say. Zhuang Nai Nai’s expression is really colourful at the moment.
One moment, she will get agitated, and the next moment, she will get sad. And then, she will be deep in thoughts. Her face is the type that will show every emotion that she feels.
Si Zheng Ting’s temples suddenly throb. In the end, he cannot stop himself from asking, “Is everything alright?” His awkward voice breaks the silence inside the car.
Zhuang Nai Nai freezes for a moment before quickly looking at him. And then, she lowers her head once again and continues with her thoughts.

Si Zheng Ting feels a little dejected as he continues driving.
Something must have happened to her in the Gu Residence, something that she won’t tell him.
Is he that unreliable in her eyes that she cannot bring herself to tell him things?
In his anger, he sees her staring out of the window with her eyes bright. She swallows heavily.
When he follows her line of sight outside, he sees a street stall selling skewered meat.
His temple throbs once more as he asks, “You are not full yet?”
Zhuang Nai Nai swiftly looks at him in surprise when she hears his question, “You were really talking to me? I was not hearing things wrong?”

When Zhuang Nai Nai realizes what she has said, she lowers her head awkwardly and clears her throat.
The veins inside Si Zheng Ting’s temples might as well jump out now. She looks so embarrassed with herself.
