{Emperor’s Diary}
I was awake in my tent and laying down with a beast kin girl on both sides of me. I was reluctant to sleep with them, but Kiko came to me last night with her sister. They were once both prostitute slaves that have been separated for six months. The city we just raided had a brothel with her sister in it. The serious romp I did earlier was deeply etched into my mind. It felt good, even better than when I’m with my love. Maybe I shouldn’t have went as far as I did? I then checked out my quests, and the one I wanted to look up appeared.

Almost as soon as I thought that, I got a reply.

I couldn’t help but mentally laugh at her after her statement. I then recalled the time after the duel, as the younger of the cat girls woke up.
“My commander, you’re awake. Ready for more, are we?” (Younger Catgirl)
I looked at where she grabbed, then sighed.

She suddenly paused after I said that.

I let out a squeaky laugh from my throat before responding.
‘No, she said that it’s fine to satisfy my curiosities. If anyone needs to worry, it’s me. If I have too much fun with other ladies, she’s going to keep me in a vice down there for the rest of my life.’ (Emperor’s mental link to Catgirl)
I immediately heard a response from my love.

I swallowed hard, trying not to think about it too much.
‘Kiko, I understand that you’re part of the fourth division. Because you reunited with your sister, you have a very high affection for me. You understand that this is a one time only thing, right?’ (Emperor’s mental link to Kiko)
She then looked away from me and stared at her sister that was resting peacefully.
“Yes, sir. I understand, but an important man like you should have a lot of children, right?” (Kiko)
I coughed, choking on my own saliva. I then recalled that quest again.
‘The bloodline of our new nation will be mine and my loves blood. If I were to have a child with another, especially an older person at that….’ (Unfocused and nervous thought of the Emperor to Kiko)
I trailed off, leaving the rest unsaid.
“I see. I understand. It’s good that I won’t be in heat for two more weeks then, and my sister just came off hers.” (Kiko)
I swallowed hard to keep myself from choking again. As I considered what time it was, I noticed that she realized she may be overstaying her welcome. She started to reach for her sister, then I grabbed her hand gently.
‘Let her rest. She’s been through a lot.’ (Emperor’s mental link to Kiko)
Kiko nodded as she hooked her leg over mine, her tail starting to rub against it.
“I won’t let the other girls know about your situation. I’ll see to it that they don’t make you look like one of those humans who are always in heat.” (Kiko)
I smiled at her as she got on top of me.

As I thought that, I had a feeling from my mate.

I swallowed again, feeling pleasure from my lower half, and the pleasure from my mate as well.

I didn’t mentally say that to Kiko, who was straddling me in lust, but to my love.

I paused to consider that, as I heard her laugh.

“No fair.” (Older Sister)
I then closed my eyes with a smile. I hope that all the slaves I free from now on are as good natured.
I looked at a map of the next city with the other officers of the fourth division. Other than the dragon1dragonspeciesnewt, they were all recently appointed officers, and looked like they didn’t trust me too much. Our next target was star city. It’s been a week since our last raid, and scouts from the first division have noticed an army of fifteen thousand people five days away from Star City. Unlike most cities, which have circular shapes that have four gates, one at each direction point, star city has five. There was a gate in the far south that leads to the human capital of Joricorm, then the four different gates were equally spaced. For some reason, I had a bad feeling about this. That army to the south really worried me, so I decided to change my plans.
‘Something isn’t right. Our rebellion is as plain as the sky is blue. The human nations will have had time to discern our patterns and motives by now.’ (Emperor’s mental link to Group)
I then looked at the map again.
‘Are there any canyons or cliffs between Star City and Joricorm?’ (Emperor’s mental link to Group)
The officers then unsurely looked at each other. The dragonnewt, Forice, spoke after thinking.
“There’s a forest near here, but there’s nothing more advantageous in ambushing.” (Forice)
There won’t be enough of an advantage. I know we planned to send some forces for harassment, but that’ll only buy a few hours at best. I don’t like this at all. In the last raid, we lost over two hundred people and only got less than a thousand non-combatants in return.
‘I will go in with Kiko as my guard as we planned. We will commence the operation at breakfast. A round shield means we abort the mission. A tower shield means we alternate the mission plan. Finally, a kite shield means we progress as normal.’ (Emperor’s mental link to Group)
I then explained what my alternate plan was. Normally, we would assault one gate, then secure it and send in our army and raise the city. However, the alternate would be to secure the gate for an escape path instead.

The emperor and empress were loved by their people, but a few citizens loved them more than the others. While his heart was solely for his mate, the emperor has had relations with a few others, as had the empress. Before the founding of the empire, it’s been theorized that the emperor had relations with over a hundred beastkin, but the diaries of both the emperor and the empress show only definitive proof of less than a half dozen. These were also normally one time only cases as well, with the exception of one. One beastkin that was the originator of the empire’s guard has been recorded to have been with the emperor on multiple occasions. It’s also been theorized that the emperor wasn’t exactly the most wanting of this type of relationship either, but accepted it because his mate made him.
The empress’s love life has less details in it than the emperors. While it’s known that they’ve made love to each other many times during their journey to become the founders of the empire, many females of the empire were prostitutes in those days. It has also been theorized that she kept her power in the group by selling her body to many men. We still don’t know if it’s true or not, but if the emperor doesn’t know about it, it probably didn’t happen because he noted down all of his affairs in great detail. The empress kept quiet about her own, with the exception of the progress of her mate.
