Chapter 23: Before The Cultural Festival (Part 2)

“Then, I will read out everyone’s duties.” Yukisaku picked up a paper and said.

“Ushi is chef, the sous-chef is Enomoto. Chiya, Haruyama, and Onoe will be in the kitchen with them. The waiters include me, Yuu, Akamatsu, Yamazaki, Nagano, Shirasawa and Takamaru. The counter will be handed over to Tomoe and Akino will be the supervisor.”

“Come on, Yuu, Akamatsu!” cheered Mr. Kawamata.

“Then are we going to set up a restaurant?” asked Yukisaku.

“No,” replied Akino and Yuu. “We’ll open a cafe.”

After assigning their duties, they began to arrange the desk and chairs in the classroom. Yuu, Akamatsu and the others chose suitable clothes for the waiters’ uniform.

“This one!” said Akamatsu.

“It’s a bit too colorful.” Yuu shook his head.

“How about this?” Shirasawa picked up another one.

“Vintage style? We can consider this, but it depends on the design and style of our cafe,” said Yuu.

“How about this?” Yuu picked up a black vest, a white long-sleeved shirt and a black tie.

“Mmm, this is pretty good. Why don’t we choose what we like?” suggested Takamaru.

“Oh! That’s a good idea!” cried Akamatsu.

“Akamatsu, can you please choose something else?” Yuu watched as Akamatsu eyed that outfit.

“Takamaru, you choose–” Yuu turned to ask her. Takamaru frowned slightly.

“Um, did I do something?” Yuu started sweating.

“Yuu, since we are master and butler, shouldn’t you address me differently?”

“Uh, master?” Yuu tilted his head to one side.

“What else?” Takamaru chose her own uniform.

“Miss? No? Um… I don’t know.” Yuu thought for a short while.

“Chiko,” said Takamaru.

“Huh?” Yuu blinked in confusion.

“Call me Chiko, don’t you understand?” Takamaru repeated.

“Oh…” Yuu glanced at her and continued picking his uniform.

A few hours later, they bought their uniforms and returned to the classroom.

“Ah, we’re back!” cried Yamazaki.

“See how it looks,” said Akino.

When they walked in, the innermost walls had been removed piece by piece to make room for more space. There were several tables in front of the blackboard for coffee machines and other things. Cakes or snacks would be made in the kitchen on the second floor. The tables and chairs were arranged in the same way as a cafe, with a somewhat unique style.

“Great! We must give it our all tomorrow!” Yamazaki exclaimed.

“I wish I could be with Takamaru,” said Enomoto.

“No way.” Takamaru rejected Enomoto but he still pestered her.

“I would appreciate your guidance and support tomorrow.” Takamaru said to Yuu.

“Mmm, me too!” Yuu smiled.
