Karas went to the bank to get his monthly allowance of 200 gis, it’s something he couldn’t forget doing for his previous life, after all, it’s something he despises the most, they were given a card, no mobile phones to transfer money to, hence, he needed to walk.
But for the past two days, he had been jogging at least one kilometer, until his body gives up, sadly, that’s the maximum capability his body can handle.
He was being laughed at every time people see him, yet, he didn’t care, Karas chuckles: “About 95% of the World’s population will vanish, I hope you all will be part of that percentage!”
Truthfully, he couldn’t care less about them, he really doesn’t hate humanity as a whole, truthfully, he just wants to be like them too, normal people, but this life, it wouldn’t be given to him. He didn’t even hate those that had kicked him out of the group, after all, he deserves it, but what he hated the most was himself.
There are so many times that he could’ve changed, why didn’t he do it? Why was he lazy? But this time, it’s different.
Only four years left…
As soon as he came home, the first thing he did was to check his weight, he smirked: “For two days, two kilograms, not bad.”
Still, he can’t push himself too hard, the human body has limitations, he took the 2 1 2 1 route, two days work out, one day rest.
After his daily jogging, he made his way towards the market, mostly, to use half of his allowance to buy some food.
“Hey, you heard about the market’s news?”
As he passed by, he heard two people talking, he deliberately slowed down his pace to listen.
“About the Ptran Family selling rocked that they got from the bottom of the sea right?” The other one replied excitedly.
“Yeah, they will sell each rock for ten gis each! Who knows, we might get really lucky and strike a fortune!”
‘Sea rocks?’ Karas hearing this continued his normal pace; ‘Stranite gems will be useful, but the only problem is… if I will get at least a tiny bit of it.’

As he continued his step, he made his way to the grocery.
“Ah, young Karas, here to buy your daily needs?” The saleslady spoke, she’s about sixty years old and would always give one or two fruits to Karas whenever he was buying his needs, truthfully, people like these are what made Karas not hate humans, there will always be someone kind that would help others even though they will suffer.
He though, considers himself one of those rotten tomatoes, he smiled at her: “Yes, I’d like the usual.”
As he spoke, he handed a hundred gis to the lady.
After a while, the lady returned, a box filled with canned goods and instant foods and dragged it with a cart: “Well, like usual, return the cart, okay?”
Karas smiled and nodded: “Yes, I will.”
As he was about to go out, he halts his step and looked at the lady: “Ah, can I return later and get this? I need to get some things first.”
The lady smiled, she nods her head: “Sure, just don’t lose your receipt.”
Karas smiled back and nods his head before going out.
The first thing he did is to find the place where they are holding the rock gamble, he had a thought in his mind; ‘I have a system inside my head now… what if…’
He increased his pace, his large chunks of meat jumping up and down, but after a while, he couldn’t help but frown; ‘Where do they hold those rock gambling again?’
Instead of asking, he looked from left to right, there are several groups of people moving towards a single location, after looking at them, he started to follow their path.
After a while, he reached his destination.
A wide town square, three mountains of rocks, two which are composed of a single color of blue, while the other one is filled with different kinds of colored rocks.
Of course, these colored rocks are being swarmed like there is no tomorrow, the price isn’t that high, but for Karas, it’s just too big, 50 gis each for whatever size it is.
‘These rich kids really know how to waste their money.’ As he thought of it, he made his way towards the blue colored rocks.
Of course, with his ordinary looks and well, tattered clothes, he was stopped by an assistant, there are currently two hundred people watching and are the ones in charge of being paid, hence, seeing Karas approach, they couldn’t help but stop him.
“Stop, you can’t steal, you’ll definitely go to jail.” The man warned blocking Karas’ way, pausing for a bit he pointed: “If you wish to try your luck, then, go towards that direction, there are low-quality rocks there that costs 5 gis each.”
“Oh.” Karas nodded before asking: “Brother, how much are those rocks behind you?”
Hearing Karas, the assistant sighs: “They are 25 gis each, the colorful ones cost 50 gis, still want to try?”
Karas shook his head: “No, I’ll try my luck on the other rocks then, thanks for the advice.”
The assistant couldn’t help but shook his head, it wasn’t any form of assistance, he just doesn’t want to bother himself with Karas, well, the latter knew of that too.
Reaching his destination, Karas immediately picked a rock.

A smile formed on Karas’ lips, throwing back the rock, he started to pick one after the other.
But at the 412th rock, Karas finally found something different.

Karas smiled, still, he held unto it and started searching for more.

He continued and found another five more, still, since he had nothing else to do with his leftover money…
He started to search again, luckily, when he reached the 1,000th rock!

“Oh.” Karas couldn’t help but be amazed, he took all of the rocks and immediately paid for it, he didn’t want to slice and dice it, it will only attract attention, hence, he made his way out immediately.
“More than five kilos of black steel and a gem, I think this is enough for now.” Karas filled with a smile as he made his way back to the store.
“Ma’am, I’ll be getting my things.” Karas bids his farewell as he got out of the grocery store.
Excitedly, he increased his pace to his home.
As soon as he arrives home, he immediately took all of the rocks from the basket and placed it on the ground: “Now, how should I extract you all.”
“System, extract!” He uttered…
But he waited for ten seconds and nothing happened.

Karas’ eyes widened, a smile formed on his lips as he started reading them one by one.
His body is a little sore after the two days of exercise, hence, he has nothing better to do.
Also, the only entertainment he had from his past life, cigarettes.
“Well, I’m not at the legal age yet in this life, but who cares.” He chuckles, after all, after this, cigarettes and alcohols will be priced so high, that it will be more expensive than diamonds and golds.
He continued browsing through the system’s window learning everything he could.
“I hope this time, I can make something different.”
