Chapter Ten – I’m actually a shy and demure girl

Tian Zhelan and Han Chao soon arrived at the cafeteria, immediately earning lovestruck and dreamy stares by girls. Ahh! Their male god has arrived to eat lunch now!

They settled down in a table by the window near the exit so they could easily go to their next class after the bell. Strangely they didn’t go to line up to get food or bring lunch boxes with them.

Everyone already expected that because Tian Zhelan always received lunch boxes from different beauties. Han Chao was only shamelessly tagging along to eat those Zhelan wouldn’t eat. If you were lucky enough to be the first, Zhelan would accept your food so many beauties would fight over who goes first.

Unfortunately, Song Lan always managed to bypass them and immediately scurries over to bug him.

Seeing the infamous local tyrant, they would immediately hide the lunch boxes and won’t dare go near Zhelan.

Weirdly, today they haven’t seen her around yet. One beauty immediately took the chance to shyly go near Tian Zhelan. With her gaze lowered shyly, she extended her arms to offer the lunch box to Tian Zhelan.

Han Chao who was sitting across from Zhelan saw this and was amused.

“Eh? You’re not afraid of Boss Sun?” Han Chao recognized the girl to be Xin Mira, the famous beauty from the fashion department.

Mira smiled shyly with a bit of proudness, “I like brother Zhelan more so it doesn’t matter.”

Han Chao laughed loudly and smirked, “You’ve got guts. I wonder if you can do that with her around though.”

Zhelan coldly glanced at Han Chao, making him raise his hands up as a surrender, shutting his mouth.

“Leave it there if you want.” Tian Zhelan said making Mira’s eyes brighten and place the lunch box on the table and then she ran off to her friends watching and teasing her.

Han Chao looked at Zhelan teasingly, “Won’t you have too much food if you accept that too?”

Tian Zhelan only looked at him pointedly. Han Chao didn’t get that point though.

“Oh look, it’s Boss Sun.” Han Chao said while looking far away behind Zhelan. Sure enough, Song Lan came waltzing in with her handkerchief-wrapped lunch box in tow.

Tian Zhelan straightened up as if preparing himself for the onslaught of Song Lan.

Song Lan reached their table with a blinding smile. “Tian-gege!” She greeted. Zhelan nodded in return.

Han Chao seeing this exchange while being ignored frowned and interjected, “Hello? Have you gone blind now? Why are you not greeting me?”

Song Lan didn’t care for the grass around her flower so she simply ignored him and acted as if she didn’t hear him.

She shoved Han Chao to the side while sweetly asking Zhelan, “Have you eaten yet, Tian-gege?”

Han Chao was appalled by the vast difference their treatments had. He could only scoot over to the side to give space to the bossy Song Lan.

Zhelan was about to answer when Han Chao butted in, “He was about to. A beauty gave him lunch!”

Song Lan glanced at the lunch box in the table and glared at Han Chao, “You, shut up. It doesn’t matter. Are you his spokesperson?”

Song Lan placed her lunch box in front of Zhelan, almost knocking the one Mira gave off the table. “Here, gege. You choose which you eat.” She smiled like it didn’t matter.

“Wow, what a bold and thick-faced girl. Hah, I definitely idolize you! Are you not even ashamed? You’re known as a violent psycho and you’re chasing someone as outstanding as Zhelan!” Han Chao mocked.

Song Lan narrowed her eyes at Han Chao. “What nonsense are you spewing? You’re head’s messed up. Want me to rearrange your brain?”

Song Lan turned her head to look at Tian Zhelan who was sitting across from them. “Tian-gege, don’t misunderstand and listen to this guy’s mindless farts.”

“I’m actually a shy and demure girl. It’s just that you are too handsome I forget how shy I am!”

The guy who is too handsome that makes girls forget they’re shy: “…”

Han Chao blinked and stuck his pinky inside his ears to see if they’re clean. He looked at Song Lan like she was mad.

“Have you truly gone crazy? You’re the one spewing s***!”

“Hmph! I don’t listen to ugly farts.” Song Lan harrumphed and got up from her seat.

“I have to go and line up gege, I’m starving! Bye~” She left as soon as she said her bye.

She didn’t wait for Tian Zhelan to respond as she was used to him not replying at all.

Seeing her scurry off, Han Chao couldn’t help but annoy her “What line up? You just bypass the people in line!”

Song Lan only turned around to stick her tongue out and ran away.

Han Chao scoffed and faced the quiet Zhelan with a grin. “Zhelan, you don’t need two meals right?” He reached out for Song Lan’s wrapped lunch box but Zhelan immediately slapped his hand away.

“Aw!” Han Chao looked up to Zhelan with an aggrieved face, caressing his poor slapped hand.

Tian Zhelan pushed the lunch box Mira gave. “You eat this.”

Han Chao eyed him teasingly. “So you want Boss Sun’s meal instead? Hmm, I get it the food she packs are always tasty!”

Zhelan looked at him blankly, “Do you want her to beat you up for eating mine?”

Han Chao’s eyes widened and shuddered. He remembered that he once stole a few bites from Tian Zhelan so he complimented Song Lan the next day. She almost broke his arm when she grabbed it.

“Right,” he muttered.

Tian Zhelan removed the knot of the handkerchief and folded it, placing it in his pocket and opened the lunch box. It immediately released a mouthwatering smell.

Han Chao enviously looked on, while he begrudgingly opened the one Mira gave.

“I don’t understand though. Why don’t you just reject her? If you continue to not say a word, with how dense she is she still won’t catch on.” Han Chao blabbered even with food in his mouth.

Zhelan was quiet but eventually said, “I see her as a little sister.”

“Eh? So why don’t you reject her?”

Zhelan never answered.
