Episode 42 – Assassination at the Royal Palace 12 ‘Hatred & Pain‘
‘How do we win?’
This thought repeated countless times in everyone’s mind. It wasn’t as if no one was not thinking of a way to get out of this predicament. At first, everything looked impossible, But who would have thought Aeselak would make the first move, managing to secure Ramon a way to escape to call for help. That was then the impossible started to crack down, showing a ray of hope.
It also wasn’t as if Louis, Ron, and Ren did not know any martial arts. They had all been training since the age of 3, due to their family names. The Veria family being very proficient in the art of swords, The Royal De Xen Periera being well versed in the art of Defense, and The Graeme family… well, they are mostly known for their intellectual cognitive prowess. But because Ron Graeme’s mother Adele, came from a well-known swords family, the art of swords has also been beaten into him.
Yet presently, their proficiencies in swords were useless as weapon restriction exists in the Royal Palace. Only knights and soldiers working in the Royal Palace were permitted to carry around swords.
Nodding towards Crown Prince Ren and Ron Graeme, they simultaneously went in action.
With Ron Graeme being …their backup. Ren slowly took out his Royal Emblem. It was an emblem that signifies his position as the Crown Prince, but it was also the only thing that was close enough to be used as a weapon. Feeling the soft panic, he slowly took a step towards the dangerous man. Nervously gripping onto the emblem as the heat of the blazing sun shone fiercely onto him, many reasons to not do this came flooding in, yet, the moment he took a glance towards Aeselak being beat-up, that feeling vanished like a ghost.
Slowly going forwards as slowly as he could, with Louis doing the same from the side, they got closer and closer. This was when Crown Prince Ren realized something was wrong with the dangerous man as they were 1 meter apart, yet it seemed as if the man hadn’t noticed them at all. For Louis, this further proved Aedelak’s meaning and theory.
That man…has a severe inferiority complex towards Nobles.
One of the things his father and the Great Nobles constantly tells him to do is to understand his enemies. When you thoroughly understand their personalities and understand their motive, that is when you will have a huge advantage over them. Being able to manipulate their course of actions and knowing what their future actions will be. That was also how Ron Graeme was able to dodge the dangerous man so accurately knowing the dangerous man was a short-tempered man.
Yet even with that, Louis could not figure out the aggression behind the dangerous man’s action, although he knew the man was someone who enjoys killing, he could not figure out why he did not take the chance to kill people standing guard outside their waiting room when he had the chance to do so. It was a free deal for him yet he chose not to take it.
Then he thought the dangerous man hated females, because of his prior actions towards Lady Aiya and his current act of instigating the old man to assault Aeselak. Yet that hypothesis completely vanished when he thought of the imperial maids waiting for calls nearby. All he did was knock them out, according to Ron Graeme.
Just when he couldn’t bother to figure the man out anymore, Aedelak pointed towards her necklace. That was when he realized the man did not hate females. Nor did he randomly kill anyone. He only hated Noble or high ranking individuals!
The necklace Aeselak and Aedelak wore was something commoners could not afford to buy! Hence why the dangerous man thought they were Noble ladies, instigating the man to kill Aeselak. But what he didn’t know was, they weren’t noble ladies. Although they were somewhat well off, they weren’t of blue blood.
‘An inferiority complex towards Nobles….’
Louis scorned when everything made sense. Even more, he had to take advantage of the dangerous man enjoying the process of the old man assaulting Aeselak.
Without hesitation, putting weight on his feet, he sprinted and tackled onto the dangerous man from the side, crashing down and locking his neck to go in for the chokehold.
“You bas-”
Before the dangerous man could curse and process the fall, black ends of something appeared in his vision, before he figured out what it was, darkness hit him in one eye, not being able to see in his left vision forever…
“AHHHHH!!”
Crown Prince Ren took the chance when Louis tackled him down to also pounce onto the dangerous man, and without hesitation, stabbed the man’s left eye with the sharp ends of his emblem. Reaching the ends of his eye socket before being violently thrown off by the dangerous man’s body wiggling in pain.
“FUUUUCKKKK”
Twisting and turning, he screamed in agony! The pain from his eye being so immensely sharp, his whole body trembled in shock. His tan complexion immediately paled, severe pain making him want to kill himself. Blood flowing out of his eyes onto the light grass, the thought of wanting to kill every single person here ringing constantly in his mind!
“CURSESS!!!”
Hearing an unexpected voice scream, he quickly turned, just to see his partner being attacked by 2 kids! S***! Wanting to rush over, yet the severely beaten up girl was still tightly holding onto him!
“FUCKKKKK!!!”
Trying his best to knock the criminal out fast, yet because of the constant struggles, his hold on the man’s neck kept slipping! The angered criminal because of pain, repeated elbowed Louis who was choking him from underneath him. At the same spot, with great strength, repetitively slamming down onto him! Enough to start hearing Louis’ bones cracking.
“LOUIS!!”
