Near to Sheriff’s horse there was another horse. Roderick presumed it was his, and he was correct.
At least I don’t have to walk like last time. He was glad for having a horse. He sat on its back and both of them rode in the dry land.
He couldn’t stop himself from looking at the sack once or twice every minute. Roderick’s mouth fell when the sack moved.
“I was wondering why you didn’t ask me about it.” Sheriff said.
“I was about to ask you.” Roderick said.
“Gonzalez’s man is in there. I will use him to get in his location.” Sheriff answered.
“Why are you dragging him like this if he is so important?”
“And why should I put my enemy on my horse?”
“He may die, can’t you see?” Roderick raised his voice.
“He will die only after I’m done with him. And I will kill him.” Sheriff said loud by making sure the voice reaches inside the sack, “See Roderick, when I went to Gonzalez’s location last night then he was not there. Instead, I found this queer.”
“So where is he now?” Roderick wanted to know.
“Very far. I think we will reach there by tomorrow morning if we ride all night.” Sheriff had a devastating answer for him.
“Tomorrow? No way! Why didn’t you tell me to beat up that owner, huh?” Roderick bellowed.
“I had told you to arrest him last night. It was your fault you couldn’t resist drinking in pub.”
Last night? Who cares?
“Isn’t there any quick way to reach there?” Roderick questioned the Sheriff.
“There’s no quick way. Desert is not a joke.” Sheriff watched the sack again.
“Can’t we reach there by spending less time on this sand s***?” Roderick now had stopped making his horse walk.
“There is a Time Tower in the middle of desert.” Sheriff revealed it with hesitation, “Even to go there it will take seven hours to reach there.”
“So we can fast forward or rewind the time there?” Roderick made his horse gallop to reach hear Sheriff.
“Yes, we can. The person who dials the time will remain there while the world around him, or not touching him, changes.” Sheriff explained.
“This is fantastic news. Why didn’t you go to Time Tower if you already know this?”
“Didn’t you hear me correct last time? The world changes according to time passed. If we tamper time from there, then everyone will find it out immediately. Time Tower can only twist time, not consciousness about time.” Sheriff answered him.
“We should go to Time Tower then.” Roderick came with a suggestion. Sheriff changed this direction and Roderick followed him.
