Chapter 148 The heck

The lists were announced two days later and the full lists were posted on the right side of the blackboard in every class. There were seven pages in total and the first six pages had a hundred names on each page.

When Su Mian and Wei Min came in, there was already a group of people surrounding the blackboard. They saw Su Mian and Wei Min coming in and looked at them with surprise.

“What are you looking at, never seen pretty girls before? Move aside if you are done looking and let us see!” Wei Min had a bold temperament and was beautiful. One look from her apricot eyes made the boys who were crowded tightly against each other blush and disperse immediately.

Wei Min raised her eyebrows and pulled Su Mian to the front triumphantly.

Wei Min had never been interested in seeing this before. What was there to look at when it was always on the last page?

Wei Min started from the last page,

“Huh! It’s not there!” Wei Min laughed cheerfully, then headed to the next page and trailed her finger name by name from the bottom up. She did not see their names there either.

“What the heck! Pah!” Wei Min spat on her hand. It was truly strange and she did not believe she would not be able to find it. She went to the next page again and searched name by name again, yet she still could not find it.

“Su Mian, did the teacher not grade ours?! I definitely handed in the paper for each subject and wrote my name on them!” Wei Min was not sure if it was because she had failed a subject or not and whether that was why her name was not in the overall ranking.

Su Mian stood to the side and watched her indifferently. She had looked at ten lines at once and had already seen that they were not on the page Wei Min was looking at.

“Oh my god, I’m here!” Wei Min prodded the paper so excitedly that her nail almost poked a hole into it. She had finally found her name on the fourth page at the 399th place.

She blinked for a long time and could not believe it, “Su Mian, pinch me!”

Su Mian actually pinched her round face.

“Ouch, it really hurts! Su Mian, you pinched so hard!” Wei Min held her face and complained, though she stared with big and bright eyes. “Su Mian, I really am at the 399th place!”

“It’s true, Wei Min. Keep going and persisting!” Su Mian knew that Wei Min’s hard work this month was not in vain and that she would reap what she sowed.

After being excited for a long time, Wei Min finally calmed down and spat on her hand again. She did not find Su Mian’s name until she reached the second page.

“Number 159, Su Mian, you’re number 159!” Wei Min held Su Mian and was so happy that her eyes were reddening. Could this be considered a reversal of fortune?

Su Mian was quite calm. After the exam, she had estimated how well her grades were and she already knew how things would stand.

Unlike Wei Min, she was not easily excited.

The class continued discussing the ranks until the class bell rang, with some being happy and with some others sighing.

When Wu Yu Mei walked into the classroom, the first thing she did was rearrange the seats according to the grades.

Li Ya Jun’s grades were stable and he was still the first in the grade, so he was the first to pick a seat.

Su Mian was ranked 159 in the whole grade and was ranked 20 in the class, so she was the 20th to choose a seat.

Originally, there was still one seat left in the second row, however, the girl next to it usually did not speak much and Su Mian was not familiar with her, so she chose the third row. Now she and Li Ya Jun were only separated by one person.

This made Sun Ying and Zhang Yan Jie incredibly angry and Zhang Yan Jie desperately wanted to slash Su Mian a couple of times with her eyes.

Su Mian had made tremendous progress this time and it was a remarkable leap. Wu Yu Mei praised her in front of the whole class and called on everyone to learn from her.

At the same time, she also told Su Mian to read the essay that she had written in the Chinese exam.

After so many years of being a student, this was still the first time Su Mian read her own essay to the class. The title of the essay was “If I lived again, …”
